Millie's POV
{Christmas Morning}
"Millie get up get up get up!" Ava says.
I look over to my clock to see that it is 10:00am.
"Ok...why?"
"It's Christmas, and there is a present downstairs for you!" Ava smiles.
"Ok?" I question.
I head downstairs with my feet feeling kinda weird. Ava runs downstairs with no problem at all as if she's been up for hours. I go downstairs to find the tree all lit up with tons of presents underneath it. I look to the table which has pancakes and strawberries on it. The pancakes are shaped as trees and the strawberries cut out as circles to resemble ornaments.
Ding dong!
"Millie, will you get that?"Ava says while rummaging through the pantry.
"Sure." I say, rubbing my eyes to notice a smirk come from her face. I walk up to the door and am faced with someone I haven't seen in about a week, but it's seemed like forever.
Finn Wolfhard.
He is smiling while holding a big bouquet of flowers. I quickly run into his arms and hug him super tight from how much I've missed him. I quickly pull away and give him a kiss. He continues to hold it, making our lips move in sync.
"Finn what the heck are you doing here in London?!" I smile.
"I wanted to surprise you." He says, returning the smile. He quickly picks up the flowers that fell on the ground from my embrace, and hands them to me.
"They're beautiful." I smile, looking down at the sunflowers.
"I lo-"
"Millie Millie Millie!" I hear Ava say.

"Millie Millie Millie Millie!" Ava's voice fills my ears.
"Whaaat?" I whine.
"It's Christmas get up, get up, get up!"" She says, pulling at my arm.
I look over to the clock to see that it is 5:34am.
Of course.
It was a dream...
"Ava it is 5:30 why would I get up so early?" I say while rubbing my eyes.
"Because it's Christmassssss." She whines.
"But Ava-"
"Pleaseeeee. I'm bored." Ava says.
"Fine." I say while slowly lifting the covers off of myself.
I head downstairs and go get some tea.
"El té." I say, holding up a tea bag and putting it into some hot water.
"Huh?"
"I was learning about foods in Spanish class and el té means tea." I explain.
"Oh cool." She nods.
I bring my tea over to the couch and set it down. As I go to sit down, my eyes begin to close.
"MILLIE!" Ava quietly shouts, making sure not to wake up mom and dad.
"Hm?" I say, quickly opening my eyes.
"You fell asleep." She rolls her eyes.
"I feel like you're annoyed with me."
"You're feeling right."
"Well ok..." I nod my head. "Wanna watch a Christmas movie?" I ask her.
"Yeah! Can we watch Elf?" She asks.
"Sure." I say, pulling Elf out from the cabinet.

After a while of watching movies and doing our annual christmas traditions, it's about 7:00 at night. We all gather around the fireplace with hot cocoa and talk. Paige and Charlie got here around 3:00 so they're here too.
"So how is America?" Paige asks.
"It is really good." I explain. "I made some friends. They're amazing." I smile. "And..nevermind." I say, remembering my dad and Charlie.
"What?" Charlie says.
"It's nothing." I say, trying to hide my smile while thinking of Finn.
"What is it Millie?" My dad says.
"MILLIE HAS A BOYFRIENDDDDD!" Ava exclaims and quickly covers her mouth after saying that.
"Mi- Millie you have a boyfriend?!" Paige exclaims. I slowly nod. "YAY!"
"A boyfriend?" Charlie says, taking in the information. "Huh...is he a good guy?"
"Of course he's a good guy Charlie." I say.
"He's a great guy. I sensed the connection as soon as I met him. They were just best friends for a while, but it slowly advanced." Mom smirks.
"Mom!" I scream. She laughs, causing everyone else to laugh. My dad is still kinda stone faced. "Dad?" I ask.
"A boyfriend?" He asks. I nod.
"Yeah..."
"You're just growing up so fast and it's scaring me! The last boyfriend you had hurt you. Hurt you a lot and it just scares me that-"
"Dad, I promise. Finn isn't like that." I explain.
"I'm sorry." He apologizes.
"It's fine, dad."

{New Years Eve}
It's about 3:30 and I'm packing to go back to Atlanta today.
"Millie come on!" My mom yells from downstairs.
"I'm coming!" I say, grabbing my suitcase and my carry on bag, and running downstairs.
"Bye Millie." Paige says, hugging me.
"Bye Millster." Charlie gave me that nickname when I was 6.
"Bye Millie!" Ava says while leaping into my arms. "I love you!" She kisses me on the cheek.
"Bye Aves. Bye Paige. Bye Charlie." I say, giving them all hugs, and heading out the door. As we head to the airport, I plot out what I'm gonna say to Rowan. I don't wanna make it scripted, because I know it's gonna flow out of me pretty naturally, but I wanna map it out.
We get to the airport, go through security, get some food, and head onto the plane. I find my seat, and sit down. I pull out my phone and post a boomerang on my instagram story of the plane window.
America bound <3
Basic. I know.
Soon enough, my phone is buzzing over and over.

I smile when I remember that I'm getting to see my friends at the party tonight. My smile slowly fades when I remember that I have to see Rowan...
I slowly drift off to sleep.
As I wake up I feel someone shaking me. I wake up to see my mom with her arm on my shoulder.
"Millie wake up." My mom says.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"9:45." She explains.
"Oh we need to get to the party!" I say, shooting up from my seat.

I pull up in front of the house. I get out and I can already feel the beats of the music under my feet. As I enter the house, my nose is filled with the aroma of sweaty teenagers and alcohol.
I search around everywhere for my group of friends. I finally see them. They all run up to me and hug me the tightest they ever can. They all move away to reveal Finn, who is waiting for me.
"Finn!" I scream, running into his embrace.
After a little while of talking I go to the kitchen.
"Hey baby." I hear a voice say behind me, as a hand gets placed on my shoulder. I turn around to be faced with Jacob. His breath smells heavily of alcohol.
"Get away from me." I say, pushing him out of the way.
He grabs my wrist. "Where are you going? Looks like good ol' Finnie has moved on." He says, gesturing to Rowan dancing up on Finn. It looks like Finn is trying to get away, but he physically can't due to the crowd of people.
I quickly run out into the crowd to find Rowan.
"HEY BITCH!" I scream.
"Are you talking to me?" Rowan says, rolling her eyes as she stands up.
"Yeah, I am." I say.
"What do you want?" She asks.
"How about you stop grinding on MY boyfriend!" I yell.
"Why do you care? It's not like there is actually anything there. No real spark. I mean what can you really do?" She asks. "Cancer girl." She says under her breath, but loud enough for me to hear.
"YOU BITCH!" I slap her across the face, leaving her mouth wide open.
"Why. Do. You. Care?" She rolls her eyes.
"Because I- I love him."
I look around to see all of my friends with their mouths wide open. The whole room has become quiet, and all attention is on us. I guess I said it too loud. At this point, I don't really care. I look at Finn to see him completely blank faced, but his eyes kinda wide. He walks closer to me, and grabs my hands in his.
He slowly places his lips onto mine, our lips moving in sync.
"I love you too." He smiles. I smile back at him, and kiss him again.
Suddenly, my ears are filled with the sound of people chanting.
"5! 4! 3! 2! 1! Happy new year!" Everyone screams. I look up at Finn and smile at him. He's already looking at me.
He gives me a small kiss on the forehead and smiles.
They always say, that the person you stand with on New Years is the person you are gonna spend that whole year with.
I don't doubt that.
