I halted my singing, turning to him and waiting for his response.
"I love it," he breathed out, and I blushed, parting my lips once more.
"I wrote it as a duet," I told him. His face went blank, and all he did was blink at me.
"For the two of us?" I nodded vigorously, smiling. "I want us to sing it on stage," he let out. Now it was my turn to blink at him with a blank face.
"But-" He knew me so well that he knew what I was worried about.
"I'll talk to Management and make them let us," he smiled, standing up and kissing my cheek briefly. I blushed as he ran out of the door and made the call.
And they did let us.
It was nearly time for me to go out on stage in Chicago, and I was sweating in my gorgeous outfit (pic on the side).
"This is a special duet that only one other person can sing with me," Niall prefaced, making my stomach flip. "My beautiful girlfriend, Lesly." I walked out onstage, the screaming washing over me.
Niall took my hand, and he looked nervous, too.
"You're too pretty for my own good," he said to me. I blushed, hearing the music start to play. I lifted the microphone to my mouth and began singing. Niall squeezed my hand, coming in at the appropriate times. Luckily, I remembered all of the words, and neither of us messed up.
When we finished, the screaming was almost deafening. I grinned at Niall, feeling incredible. He hugged me, and then pressed his lips to mine.
We had never kissed before, so to do it in front of tens of thousands of people was terrifyingly amazing.
He let go, and I breathed out.
"We should do duets more often," he let out, kissing me once more.
