Day by day the usual drill goes on but something wasn't right.
Day after day Nabi looked more and more tired. Her hair was messier than usual, her skin and lips were very pale and she had a very noticeable eye bags on each of her eyes.
Naib was starting to worry and kept asking her if she's alright or she feels something wrong, but Nabi just keeps answering him she's fine and he has nothing to worry about. But that's what's he's worried about the most.
The others tried to distract her but she always declined them. Emily had already checked on her but Emily found none. She wasn't sick.
She always go directly to her room every after event. After the match, after having breakfast, lunch or dinner, after the discussions for the matches and etc.
Eli looked at her with concern so he followed her when she went upstairs to her room.
Nabi was about to enter when Eli grabs her arm. As he did he felt an immense negative aura surging within her.
"Nabi are you sure you're okay? " he asked as he looks to her eyes which barely had light.
"I'm fine" Nabi answered as Eli let's her arm go and Nabi went inside and shut the door.
Eli sighed as his owl then flew to his shoulder.
'some thing's definitely not right' Eli thought as he went outside to get some air
[Eli's POV]
I'm really worried about Nabi but we don't really know what's happening with her.
She eats but not as much as she used to, her smile faded and the glimmer on her eyes were gone
'Eli! ' I remember Nabi calling me with a huge smile on her face.
I walked around the tree around the manor thinking about the strange energy I've felt when I grabbed her arm.
I looked at the ground while walking when I bumped into a person who's really really tall
"Oh, I'm sorry" the person spoke he was holding an umbrella
"oh I'm sorry too good sir " I responded
"it's fine, may I ask if you don't mind" he said
"yes sir" I responded
"are you okay? And are you the new survivor" he said as I froze
"y-yes sir" I stuttered as he smiled
"as you may figure out, yes I am a hunter named Wu Chang, I'm the White Guard while the other person's soul is inside the umbrella " He said rather calmly
"I see" I could only respond
"don't be afraid, we're not playing the game, we won't hurt you" He sad as he tapped my shoulder and stopped for a bit
"I sense... A negative energy" he said as he brushed my shoulder and looked at a strand of hair he got, the hair was of milk chocolate brown color.
"what do you mean sir White "I asked eagerly
He smiled
"you are not the owner of this hair most certainly, but who ever owns this needs help right now" he answered
"I... Don't understand " I was confused and worried
"the person who owns this strand of hair is possessed by a dark entity, this entity is filled with greed and anger, it is torturing who ever owns this strand of hair"
"what should I do?? "
"well, I can help you get that entity out, but. "he paused
"we need to wake that person and make that person feel, any will do but not the negative ones such as pain and sadness. Perhaps love and happiness should do, bcause if I force the entity out that entity will latch on the soul of the person it's possessing and the soul of that person will merge with the entity once forced out. Meaning there's no taking that soul back" he said in a more serious tone as I started sweating
"come, we need to hurry I can sense the soul is feeding off the energy of its host"
I nodded and led him
[Authors POV]
[at Nabi's room]
Nabi was just standing still looking at a space while holding her dagger.
'it's dark... Cold... Empty..., I feel like I'm falling on a never ending pit of darkness... someone...anyone.... help me... '
Nabi's eyes were open but it seems like she's not herself
Eli with White barged into the manor as the survivors froze then panicked.
White just stood there smiling
"guys he's here to help! Nabi's in danger! " Eli shouted as they stopped
"What do you mean!? " Naib shouted
"Ah so it's the female mercenary, we need to help her as soon as possible " White said and looked at the direction of Nabi's room.
Naib ran upstairs immediately along with William and Eli and the rest of the gang.
"NABI! OPEN THE DOOR!" Naib knocked relentlessly
"NABI!" they called but there was no answer
"Darn it! William! " Naib cursed as him and William broke the door down as Nabi came to sight. But they all froze from the negative energy that welcomed them.
"N-Nabi?... "Tracy called but Nabi was still staring to a space holding her dagger.
"Nabi answer us" Eli said and took a step forward when Nabi flinched and her gaze slowly averted to the gang and they froze in their place as they look on Nabi's eyes.
She raised her dagger and pointed to them then she smiled coldly
"I'm glad you can come to my ceremony" she said but there was a different voice lingering around hers
"Nabi, what are you doing, what do you mean ceremony" Naib said and stepped forward
"STOP" Nabi said loudly as a strong wind blew their way
"come any closer and I will end you" she said but this time her voice was overwhelmed by another one
"this isn't funny" William said
"stand back guys" Lucky said
Naib and William signaled each other as they immediately dashed towards Nabi and grabbed both her arms trying to get her to let go of the dagger.
But in a single flash Naib and William were sent crashing on the walls. Both groaned in pain as the walls had cracks from the impact and their body went numb.
"I told you not to interfere" she said
"now then... " Nabi then gazed at the gang
"we need to act fast" white said looking at Nabi
"I will take her soul as my bride... " This time the voice was of a male, Nabi then started to move the dagger to her neck
"N...Nabi.. " Naib could only watch as he can't move to stop his sibling
"Nabi" Eli called as White smiled and the umbrella hovered as the Black Guard appeared
"don't move" The male voice warned and pointed the dagger towards Eli who was step by step moving closer to her
"Nabi you need to fight back " Eli said
'that voice...seems so familiar...'
"Nabi fight back" The rest called out
"yo-you're not alone Nabi" Naib said as Emily started to tend to him
'brother...? I...I had to fight alone...I needed to...but I wasn't enough... I was never enough... I couldn't save enough... '
"your brother is right, you're not alone anymore, we're here beside you" Eli spoke he was a feet near the blade pointed to him
'I'm... '
Nabi's hand with the blade started to shake while her other hand gripped her head
'not...alone..., but I continue to fall...'
"ENOUGH! " a dark shadow then appeared behind Nabi holding her by the neck and some shadow wrapped around her hands.
"I will take her and she will be mine" the shadow spoke and manipulated Nabi to stab Eli as Eli barely dodged it and grabbed Nabi's arm and with his other arm he moved it behind Nabi's head pulling her to a kiss
Nabi's eyes even though still empty had tears falling
"NO! "the entity raged as he tried to used Nabi's other arm to throw Eli off when an umbrella hovered behind him and then the White Guard reappeared
"keep going" he commanded Eli as he pulled Nabi deeper in the kiss
'I see a light... '
I try to reach out
'please....'
I want to grab the light but I'm too far... I continue to fall when a hand grabbed by hand and I felt a push from behind I felt it was more hands pushing me up towards the light
The hand holding my hand is from the light
I reached through it was so bright... I see...
Eli?
'Eli? '
And everyone else were behind him
'let's go Nabi all of us all together' Eli said and smiled as I took his hand and everything went white
Nabi blinked before realizing Eli was kissing her
"good" White smiled as the umbrella sucked in the dark entity removing it's grasp on Nabi's body
Eli broke the kiss and looked at Nabi through his blindfold and smiled
"welcome back" he said snapping Nabi out of the trance
Her eyes watered more as tears trickled down her cheeks
"Eli... Everyone... Thank... You... " she said before collapsing while Eli catches her and places her on the bed
"Thank you for helping everyone, please take good care of her for the time being, she's drained and she's gonna need a lot of support for now" White smiled before looking to Eli and exiting the room
The rest of the gang fell and sat on the floor still processing what just happened.
"Eli... Why'd you kiss her... "Naib said looking at Eli
"oh uhhhh" Eli started to blush a bit
"Sir Wu Chang instructed me to... " he answered as Naib raised an eyebrow and sighed
"thanks... For helping my sister" he said as Emily helped him out
"that scared me... " Emma said holding her chest
"I uhh I didn't see what happened but suddenly I feel tired... " Helena said as Tracy hugged her
"you don't wanna see that anyway" Tracy said and smiled
"Emily I need help~" William said rubbing his head
"one sec" Emily answered and seated Naib on the chair
"we need to replace the door... "Freddy said and sighed
"we'll do that tomorrow, I think everyone needs to recover from what happened" Martha said as she stands up and covers Nabi with a blanket.
"agree" Kevin and Kreacher answered
"you can stop hiding now Kurt" Servais said lifting his hat up revealing the hiding Kurt
"sorry bout that" Kurt said and laughed as everyone chuckled lighting the atmosphere
Eli brushed Nabi's hair as she was sleeping more peacefully now.
"We'll take care of her for now" Emily said helping William up seating him beside Naib
"I'll help too" Fiona said as Kevin and Kurt picks up the bits of the door
Fiona stared sweeping the floor while Vera lighted scented candles on the living room, hallways and Nabi's room to calm everyone.
Meanwhile Wu Chang was walking towards the Hunter's Manor
"why didn't you just tell him straight to kiss her and snap her out" Black said from the umbrella and chuckled
"well I simply didn't want to rush things, I want them to take it slow, we don't want to end a good show right? " White smiled and entered the Manor.
