Third pov
Today's schedule was a bit different for Kayana . She hadn't the time to play games with Ferid or visiting him for blood.She was busy.Very busy.Urd Geales had called her privately.This was almost a regular occurance as he would call her in times of need of advice to deal with the livestocks so they wouldn't rebel.Of course some were to spoilt because of their priveledges like the dance lessons and stage,music house and etc. He had ways to deal with troublemakers but...he decided to use a different approach to see if it would be more effective than killing or violence.
Kayana,would also call him .Yes he was a king and he was busy but he was wise and good with advice and knew many things.She was very much interested in history and often asked him what the old days were like.
He wasn't one to waste his time on idle chit-chat or pointless conversations as it was boring and unneccesary but Kayana made it interesting.She always amused him.
Lest Karr would also call often.He was a cute little vampire that she enjoyed conversing with.She found his rants about being better than Krul amusing while she ranted about how adorable he was and that one day she would kidnap him and keep him all to herself.That,of course amused him also but irrotated him.He preferred to not be reffered to anything adorable or 'cute.'
Kayana looked up to the king.They were great rulers and both held pride and a level of coldness that wouldn't bend and break easily.Their neutral demeanor was very calming and she enjoyed hearing them speak just as much as Ferid and Crowley.Kayana always loved a calm,deep voice or even a teasing voice like Lacus,with an accent.
"Good morning,Urd Geales." She greeted teasingly.They were video conferencing and Lest Karr,Ky luc and a servant accompanied him.
The said king did not look amused buy his eyes glinted.
"Good morning Kayana Shiona.Let's not beat around the bush please.I am quite busy and have no time to waste." he replied coldly
She smiled slightly .
"Yes,you highness.Good morning to you too Lest and Ky."
Ky waved with a smile while Lest nodded.
"Right.I looked over the documents you sent me..." She started bring out her research.
"And much to my suprise.I have found knowledge on the matter."
Urds expression remained the same though he grew interested.
"No way~That's impossible." Ky objected.He has never heard of any humans doing that sort of experimentation.
Kayana paid him no attention and carried on.
"I returned to my old house with the thirteenth progenitor,I was planning on looking for any leads on how I was born a half vampire but I expectes my search to be unsuccessful because only ashes remained but...I saw my dad's old truck.He had some interesting things in it."
She pulled out a vile of an orange liquid.It had a foul scent and an odd look.
She gagged at the scent and her nose began to burn slightly.
The males looked the vile in interest.
"My father had been doing research in how to turn vampires into humans...so he uses to do experiments on me."
She places the liquid down on the table.
"This,is a viled filled with contaminated blood that belongs to me.It smells revolting and I have yet to find out what made it contaminated.I used the labs to compare it to my blood and what I got as aa result was that they tried to fuse it with human blood and animal's blood.They also added unknown chemicals to it and well..here's the result."
Urd was the first to comment.
"Has anyone of you tried her blood?"
Lest and Ky replied with a negative.
"Hm...Have you tasted the liquid?" he asked her.
"The smell alone makes my nose burn so no."
He sighed and looked over his own files.
"I have been notified of a man by the name of Caleb Shiona and Misaku Juju running experiments on a child to turn her into a human.At first we discarded it as lies and romours seeing as it wouldn't be possible and sensible for an experiment like that to work using a human....But then I heard about you from the queen and rumours about a pure half blood.When you came to Europe ,your appearance was almost identical to your father's.The man who supposedly conducted the experiments.".
"We connected dots and made sense of what the possibilities were.It wasn't a human child he was conducting the experiments on.It was you.We were going to capture him for answers but your house was already in ashes and ruins ."
Lest joined in on the conversation.
"We were originally planning on making you the queen of Europe to rule alongside Urd as his right hand woman but...it would seem weird if out of the blue,a young,half human were to have one of the highest rankings."
She stared wide-eyed at them.Queen Krul suggested giving her a throne when she was younger and now this?
"Not that I don't appreciate the thought or anything...buy why?"
Ky grinned and Urd sighed.
"You are not a fourth progenitor.You are a second."
...... ....... .....
Time for Ferid cause I wouldn't reveal all in one chapter.
Ferid sat infront of her on her kitchen counter with his head leaned back and eyes chosed.They were both cooking wontons but Ferid cut his finger,most likely porposely.She hadn't anything to drink and well...the smell of blood just made her give in.The next thing Ferid knew,he was placed on the kitchen counter and her fangs were already in his neck.
At that moment she forgot the world around her as she focused on satisfying her thirst.
Ferid grinned as she continued to drain him without a care.A smile adorned his face as he felt her pause.It told him that she probally came back to her senses.
She removed her fangs from his neck and placed her hand on the other side of his neck.She used her thumb to rub his neck up and down gingerly.
Her face was slightly scarlet as she stared up at him though her long eyelashes with a sheepish look,blood leaking just a little from the corners of her mouth.He smirked and licked the blood off her lips.She blushed even more and oushed him away after he placed a kiss on her.
The food remained forgotten.
She knew already that he was teasing her.As if Ferid Bathory would cut his finger with a knife accidentally.He was too perfect for that to happen.
"You're such a tease." She grumbled with a bitter voice.She could still taste him.She could feel the urge to drink increase but she kept stronh
He smirked cruelly and tugged her purple locks gently.
Usually a sadist like him would be totally pissed if any vampire did that to him,drink his blood.Push him away.You'd have to be pretty daring to even lay a hand on him,except for enemies with a killing intent or someone of higher ranking like the queen.
Yet, He felt a sense of pride in the fact that she didn't go running to the queen for blood.She went to him.She did what the queen wanted her to do with no objections or questions but her loyalty wasn't with her.It was with him.He was well aware of the fact that she drank from other nobles and yes he disliked that but what has to be done,has to be done.
The meeting this morning had her brain tied up.Only Ky,Lest,Urd and her knew about the information.They didn't want her bringing much attention neither did they trust anyone else.As you know,certain information was being leeked and they didn't know who to trust,not like they trusted them to begin with.
But anyways.
Ferid sat up .His cheerful smile still there as he placed a kiss on her head.Kayana smiled in return.At this moment,No other than Shiro Shiona walked in.
He had a nervous expression that was obvious yet still hid what he was nervous of.Though he was slightly suprised when he saw Kayana sitting on Ferid's lap while he kissed her head.
Ferid saw this as an opportunity to piss him off, so he placed another kiss on her lips.
She was used to this.It was a flirting ritual they did every once in a while .It didn't really hold any strong emotions, for them at least.Anyone else,would think like a normal person and assume they were actually in love or something rather than it being a game or playful flirting.
She didn't mind Ferid pissing Shiro off.Yeah,sure he was her only family left and her brother but like she said.She still held a grudge against him for always getting her in trouble and making her parents punish her all the time.
Truth be told,she would almost say she didn't like him at all.She was only happy to see him because she was glad to know she had family remaining.Kazu took not of this .
Shiro stood there akwardly,trying his best not to glare at his superior for kissing his sister.
"Um...did I come at a wrong time?" He asked mildly irritated.
Kayana shrugged and went back to her cooking station where she prepared spices to throw into the pot with chicken and a separate pot with beef.
"I uh..had some questions for you." He stuttered. Ferid followed behind ,he went back to his station and back to the chopping board.He prepared flavoured vegetables like peppers to add to the meat.
She hummed in reply.
"Ask away,brother." She took the skins out of the pack and lay them on trays.
Shiro glanced warily at them both before proceeding.
"Were you...turned like me?" He questioned.
Kayana shook her head.
"No.I'm a pure blood half."
Shiro seemed to be stunned.
"Wait!You were born half vampire!?"
"That's what I just said." she tried to be kind but well.Ferid just brought out the bad in her.Being cruel is contageous.
"W-why....why didn't you tell me?"
She sighed,taking the chicken from Ferid who had been awefully silent.She placed it into a bowl and began to fill and fold.
"You never asked and I also did not know I was half vampire." She replied simply.
He was easily intimidated by her supposed 'lover' and didn't want to ask questions to anger him or her.
"Why don't you come help me fold these." She offered.She sensed his fear and decided to be nice and ease his nerves.
She smiled gently and took his hands,showing him the amount to put and how to fold it.
There was a very noticable tint of pink on his cheeks and he'd take a glance at Ferid warily hoping he wasn't too pissed about him being close to his 'girlfriend.'
"You should come with me to visit Europe next time I go!Urd is so nice and he's such a gentleman.Don't piss him off though cause he is very intimidating and scary." She chatted lightly with her brother which made him slightly less tense and Ferid irritated.
It was supposed to be the both of them today but he showed up.
"Love,do me a favour and help me fry."
She began cleaning up the mess.Ferid smiled fakely and nodded.
When she turned her head though.He stared at Shiro and smirked when he shrunk back in fear.
....
They three of them sat in Kayana's lounge/dining room.
A goblet of blood was placed on the table for Ferid along with a glass of lemmonade for Kayana who was seated on his lap.
Shiro sat akwardly,as usual in the chair opposite them.
"Wow!Ferid,this is amazing." she said in awe while chewing a chicken wonton.He fried it perfectly.It was crisp and golden and the way he cooked the meat was just amazing.
Ferid smirked.
"Why thank you,my dearest."
She took out her favourite series on the television making the noble sigh and groan.
"Winx Club?Why."
She chuckled and ruffled his bangs while placing a wonton in his mouth for him.
"Cause you made me watch...Nigh crawlers...and now I'm truamatized...."
He laughed her off.
"Yeah yeah~"
..........
Duties called and their fun time was put to an end.Shiro had guard duties and Kayana had to do a check up on the 'livestocks'
She ordered a servant to clean up the lounge area and went to fulfil her duties.
