A few days later. home.
I walked downstairs in my pjs and into the kitchen.
Mom was sitting there eating breakfast.
I smiled "mom, hey!"
she put her glass down and smiled at me "good morning, Flavia"
I sat down next to her "how was it?"
Mom "it was amazing. Why aren't you at school? Serena and Chuck have already left"
i sighed "It's-I don't feel well"
She shot me a look.
Me "Mom"
She stood up "I have to go to a meeting. i think that the reason you don't want to go to school just walked inside"
I raised an eyebrow and she smiled at something.
Nate walked inside.
i grabbed a glass of orange juice and walked into my bedroom, ignoring Nate who followed me inside.
Then i turned to him and crossed my arms over my chest.
Nate took a deep breath "okay, what is it?"
Me "you should be at school."
Nate shook his head "you crash the party and you tell me to break it off with Catherine and then you pull an 180 and you tell me to stay with her and then you just bolt. Did i do something, or-what happened?"
I shook my head "I'm in no position to want something from you like that, Nate"
Nate asked irritated "so, we're not even friends now?"
How much i hate that word.
I took a deep breath "you and i both know that we could never be just friends"
Then i walked past him out of the room and into the kitchen.
I downed my orange juice.
Nate walked into the main room, irritated "are you serious? what happened, Fla? what did Catherine say?"
I shook my head and put my glass down "Listen, Nate, Catherine didn't have to say anything, okay? If you think it's healthy sleeping with her then do it. But i can't tell you what to do"
Nate looked at me confused "where the hell is the Flavia i know?"
Me "standing in front of you, Nate"
He scoffed "oh please"
Me "Just go to school , Nate"
He raised an eyebrow and scoffed again.
i shook my head " I won't say it again"
Then he walked out.
My phone buzzed and i looked at it.
I rolled my eyes and read"Looks like Dan Humphrey wasted no time in finding a new lady friend. We all know lunch leads to dinner, which leads to dessert, which leads to, well, you get the idea."
Next day. Morning.
I rolled around in bed and my head hit a lap.
Me "get out of my room, Chuck"
I sat up and looked at him.
Chuck Smiled"good morning to you, too. I had Margaurite make you up a little something. I missed you yesterday"
Me "Mom, Serena and i had a girl's movie night. Mom made us watch "Paris, Texas" She kept talking about how amazing Harry Dean Staton was. "
Chuck chuckled "well, i just wanted to see how you were?"
Me "I'll live. And how are you?"
Chuck nodded "i'm good"
He smiled and i smiled back.
Suddenly my phone buzzed on the nightstand. Chuck grabbed it for me and gave it to me.
Me "thanks"
I unlocked it.
Chuck "and?"
Me "A text from Serena"
Chuck "What does she want?"
Me "She wants me to get ready for tonight. There's a girl getting too close to Dan and my sister doesn't like it at all"
Chuck chuckled "want me to help you with an outfit"
I looked at him "get out of my room"
He rolled his eyes.
Night. At the club.
I walked inside and saw a girl with Dan sitting at a table. Serena and some guy were sitting across from them.
I raised an eyebrow and walked to the bar where Penelope was standing.
Penelope"there you are, we were already wondering were you where"
I rolled my eye "I'm gone for five minutes and my sister is already planning something"
Then I looked at them "who's that guy with my sister?"
Penelope"some guy"
Me "She's trying to make Dan jealous"
she nodded "Yes"
Me "and who is that girl?"
Penelope "Amanda"
I nodded "oh god"
Amanda left and Serena walked to the bar. Dan followed her.
I raised an eyebrow. They were talking to each other. My sister was hurt, i could see it.
Then she left him standing there. I walked to Dan.
Me "Dan Humphrey, long time not seen"
he turned to me and rolled his eyes "Hello, Flavia"
I smiled "hi. How can you be so stupid?"
He rolled his eyes"not you too, Flavia"
Me "I'm not talking about that. No one knows Serena as good as i do. You stay a little longer and you'll get to see the real Serena."
Dan asked confused "the real Serena?"
Me "She's not as bad, you know, as bad as i am but she comes close."
Dan "I've seen enough"
Then he walked away.
I felt a presence behind me and asked annoyed "what do you want, Chuck?"
Chuck "you can tell it's me?"
I turned to him "You're wearing the Hugo Boss"
Chuck "your sister is not thinking straight. She's making this about Dan."
i nodded "i know. It's the new girl. What do you have in mind?"
Chuck "My plan is already working out. "
I raised an eyebrow.
Chuck "Ninth grade, the danish exchange student who kept flirting with your Penelope's junior prom date?"
I smirked "you did not"
Chuck chuckled "i didn't do anything"
I saw Penelope throwing something at Amanda's head. Amanda stopped walking and touched the back of her head. Her hair started to fall off.
Everyone looked at her. I looked at Chuck and then at Serena who was shocked.
She ran out.
I saw Serena walking to Dan but he was pissed. Then he left her standing there.
i walked to Penelope and got there the same time my sister did.
Me "that was lame"
Serena "From now on, everything goes through me"
I smirked at her.
Next day.
I was on my way into my room when i heard my name being called. I turned around and saw Nate walking to me.
Me "Blair told me"
Yeah, Catherine and Marcus are screwing each other.
Nate "did you know?"
i shook my head "how the hell was I supposed to know about that ?"
Nate "would you've told me if you had known"
I Shrugged "i don't know. I had the feeling that you weren't sleeping with her because of the money"
He looked down.
Me "or am i wrong?"
He shook his head "no, you're not"
Me "i'm sorry, Nate"
He nodded "Yeah, i gotta go to school. You see there?"
i shrugged "I'm already dressed, so maybe"
He nodded and walked out.
Then Chuck walked downstairs.
Me "Can you drop me off at school?"
He nodded smiling "of course"
At school.
I walked to Blair and the girls.
Blair "Where the hell were you, Flavia?"
Me "I needed some time of-"
Penelope yelled "Serena!"
I looked at Serena. Since when does she wear a headband. she walked to us.
Penelope "where are we going tonight? The Dalton keep texting us. "
Serena looked at Blair "hey, i left our four messages, you okay?"
Blair nodded "yeah. i-I wasn't feeling well"
Serena took her headband off and put it around Blair's neck.
I raised an eyebrow.
Serena "your poor thing"
Blair "i actually have to get the assignments i missed yesterday. "
Serena "of course. I'll see you later."
Blair walked away.
I saw Chuck watching us and walked to him.
Chuck eyed me amused "you looked pissed"
I shook my head "I'm not"
Chuck "she's back on top. A place were you should be"
Me "I'm always on the top and not even my sister can push me off of there"
He chuckled and looked at the group "are you sure?"
I looked at him and saw him smirking at me.
