⭕NOTE⭕ In this story, the reader dislikes ginger ale. I personally have nothing against it but I figured it'd be interesting for the story. With that said, please do not attack others if they like Ginger Ale or not.

"I'm -cough- fine!" Yan coughed loudly, waving her girlfriend's hand away.
Nearly spilling the allergy medicine, Y/n sighed. "Please, Yan. Do it for yourself! You NEED medicine!"
"No! Old China medicine is the best medicine." She insisted, before going in a gaggle or coughs. "Fetch my notebook, and find the recipe for ginger ale-"
"Ginger ale?!" Y/n made a gagging noise. "Gross. Drink this! It's scientifically proven to make you better!"
Chun-Yan turned her head away from the medicine. "China medicine is better!"
Y/n tossed the box to her. "Look where it's manufactured."
"Oh no." The Chinese girl shook her head. "If that's your logic for making me do what you want, remember that Ginger comes from China. Glass comes from China. More ingredients from Ginger Ale come from China than that stupid Western medicine."
The (Nationality) closed her e/c eyes. How did she get stuck being the one to force her to eat her medicine?
Oh yeah. Because when she tried to call the other countries to help her, they all panicked and made excuses to not help. Even Daisy* sounded scared when she finished her excuse, before hanging up. As for her sister, Lucila*, she simply hung up when Y/n barely said hello.
"Please, eat." She begged. "I'll buy you any Hello Kitty merchandise you want- I'll even convince Russia to make everyone else repay you their debts!"
As much as Yan would love her money back, she wasn't going to go against her traditional country's remedies. That would be insulting to do!
"I'm sorry, but I will not stand for stupid, new, modern medicine!" Yan huffed, her long brown hair swaying with her head.
That's when it hit Y/n. The perfect plan.
"Oh yeah?" She challenged. "Give me one good reason Ginger Ale is better than this allergy pill?"
"B-because! It's old and made by me. Therefore, it is the best."
"Ok, boomer."
Yan blushed and looked away. "Respect your elders, Y/n!"
Laughing, the h/c girl shrugged. "Fine. I'll trust you only when I try it and see it work its magic."
"Ok, do it-"
"On one condition."
Yan raised an eyebrow.
Y/n tried not to look too smug. "You must take a pill. Whoever wins, gets to uhh-" She blanked. What was the prize going to be? Thinking quickly, she panicked.
"Whoever wins, uh, gets to uh," Her e/c eyes shot to the mini-fridge. "Has to cook whatever the offer wants."
"You can't cook without burning the kitchen, Y/n." She deadpanned.
"Hey! I'm better than Alice*! Now she's the one that burns the kitchen along with the neighbors, you know."
Yan giggled. "Whatever you say. Just make the Ginger Ale, and give me my pill."
Recipe for Ginger Ale (You can actually make yourself, readers!)
Ingredients:
(200g) Peeled and Minced Ginger
(450ml) Filtered Water
(3) Limes/Lemons
(1tsp) Cinnamon Powder
(1tbs) Natural Honey -OPTIONAL-
Y/n boiled the water, and in the meanwhile, peel the ginger, minced it, before grabbing her favorite f/c mug. She squeezed the limes/lemons into the mug, before going back to the boiling water.
She then proceeded to put in the ginger, and a teaspoon of cinnamon, making sure to mix thoroughly. After the water was boiling hot, she poured its content into her favorite f/c mug and then stirred it. (And added honey)
She poured Yan a regular cup of lukewarm water for the pill, before heading back to her bedroom.
She passed Yan the cup. "Here. Drink in five... four... three... two... one."
The two chugged their drinks, Yan popping the pill in her mouth, while Y/n was trying not to cry from the tangy, slightly sour taste of the Ginger Ale.
After they finished, that's when Y/n realized. She forget to tell Yan how they would determine the winner since she wasn't sick herself.
Grinning Yan asked. "How's the Ginger Ale? Sound like you forgot you were all healthy already!"
Y/n buried her face into her hands. She was tricked by her own idea- by her own girlfriend! "But, you ate the pill!"
"That's because it's all-natural- and has ginger."
"WHAT?!" Y/n grabbed the box. In the fine print, it read, Made with Real Ginger.
Yan laughed.
Y/n groaned. For a moment, the (nationality) girl felt like a mastermind genius...
The Chinese girl sumped her shoulders, seeing Y/n's disenchanted face. "It's ok. I'm sorry I tricked you. It's just so funny seeing your face all with drinking that!"
"Nah," She waved her hand. "I'm the one who should be sorry. After all, you won, so enjoy your day off. I'll order some food or something."
The Chinese girl laughed. "Well, just know that China knows best!"
"Wo Ai Ni*, Yan."
"Wo Ai Ni, Y/n."
