Matthew's POV in this one ;)
҉Chapter 16҉ O:
"Oh my god," I whispered, my eyes wide. "Ella," I looked at her for a split second, "Stay up here." I slowly lumbered down the stairs, scared. They could be holding people hostage or what-not! I finally, with no harm, made it down the stairs. Crawling in the kitchen, I saw Matthew, my mom, a random older-dude, Katelyn, and...Him.
I gave him a hard look, and he smirked.
"Nice seeing you here, Azura."
"No, pleasure's all mine," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. Matthew looked up at me, and our eyes locked. He shook his head. Wait...He doesn't know who this is! Dang. I'm screwed.
"Now, Azura," My mother said, her voice icy, "You have met Matthew's father, Mr. Brown," (I don't remember what their last name was, so now it's Brown. :P)
"No, Mother, I haven't," my voice had now taken on a monotone, making my Mother cringe.
"Well, nice to meet you," the older man said, trying to change the subject. I could see him stare in disgust at my skinny jeans, band tee, and red, tear streaked face.
"Uh..." Matthew began, but I gave him a say-something-and-I'll-kill-you glare.
"I really must be going," I snapped.
"Oooh, no," my mother snarled, "We are getting this resolved. Now." Mr. Brown looked at me with a question mark on his face, I just shook my head.
"That's what you don't get, Mother, I can give a crap less."
"AZURA CARTER!"
"Yes?"
"Do not speak to me in that tone!" I rolled my eyes,
"Ohmygosh! I'm sooooo sorry," I said in an overly-high pitched, snobby voice. I could see Matthew trying to restrain laughter.
"Azura..." she warned me with her cold eyes, I just shook my head again.
"Ok. This is resolved." I turned my on my heel, but I felt someone grab my shoulders and yank me back. I felt a hard chest, but not as hard as Matthew's, or even Char's. I turned, coming face-to-face with HIM. I yanked out of his disgusting grasp, spitting in his face. Everyone gasped. Ooohh, like a movie!
"I thought I told you NEVER even see me EVER again! NEVER even TOUCH me you DIRTY arse!"
Matthew stood up, grabbing me, shoving me backwards into his chest.
"SHH!" He whispered urgently to me. I ignored him, while bringing my arm back and slapping them both. My mother shrieked like a banshee.
Matthew's POV! ;)
What has gotten into her? Does...Does she know him? If so, she must REALLY hate him. I've never, ever seen Azura resort to violence, wait I have, but not spitting in someone's face! That's just...Low. The guy seemed familiar, but I couldn't place his face anywhere. Eh, whatever. I could see Katelyn's face in complete fake horror, because she winked at me!
Whatever. I kind of liked yanking Azura away, she fell into me. It was as if we fit. That sounds so cheesy, though. When she slapped me, it hurt like a fudger. She hits hard.
Also, she disrespects her mother...A lot. I couldn't believe how much sarcasm she can place in one word. But, not my problem. I winked back at Katelyn, who giggled like she was on crack. Ick.
Azura was so mad, I wouldn't be surprised if she had steam coming out of her ears. She made her voice, hard, cold, and so...Un-Azura-Like.
"Never. Speak. To. Me. Again." Before I could stop her, she had stormed up the stairs. Then, I heard a loud bang, and two shrill screams. Then, two, large, things tumbled down the stairs. What the? They looked like...Wait. No. It was Azura and Ella! What?! I didn't know Ella was here.
"Owww!" I heard Azura say, crawling out from under Ella. I rushed over, but the young guy my dad brought beat me there.
Azura's POV: Sorry for cutting it off here, I had an idea. O:
He had beaten me there. I shivered as he grabbed my wrist roughly. I felt something cold press to my back, and I whimpered. It was a gun. Is he THAT crazy? Before Matthew could come, he whispered in my ear,
"Either break up with him or die." I looked at Ella, who was frozen in fear. She nodded slowly at me, and mouthed,
"Do it." I sighed, my life was so messed up. I might just wanna die. I let out a fake, shrill scream,
"IT'S YOUR ENTIRE FAULT, MATTHEW! I HATE YOU! YOU'VE MADE MY LIVE MISERABLE!" He looked taken aback for a second, so I took that second to stand up and shove his hard, muscular chest,
"I hate you! You hate me! We're one big sad family! Now let me go, make me free, so I can go do as I please!" (I just made that up, at least, part of it. Big failure.)
"Wh-" I cut him off, shoving him again,
"Go with Katelyn. See if I care." Then, giving him one, hard slap, and a weird look, I turned around. I tried to give him some kind of signal, but he seemed clueless. I grabbed Ella's wrist, and I pulled her outside.
"Run, Now." I said, giving her a fleeting look. My ex was going to come soon.
"What about you?"
"You'll be a witness! You can tell them when he takes me."
"What if they don't believe me?"
"Then...I die?" I questioned, making her eyes widen.
"Don't let him...Do anything," she said finally, as the door opened. She ran. I never thought a girl like her could run so...Fast. My Ex smiled creepily. I shuddered involuntarily, as he grabbed my hand.
"Ready?"
"No, ugly," I said. Was everyone blind?! Couldn't they see a girl being kidnapped!?! It's like a TV show! A very, horrid, scary, TV show. Oh god.
"Come on, we'll go somewhere." I raised my eyebrows, but he said nothing more, shoving me into his car.
Matthew's POV:
What?! Did she mean that? I waited a bit, flabbergasted as she stormed out with Ella. Something wasn't right. I touched my cheek, which stung from her slap. She couldn't mean that...Right? I don't accept failure. She has to love me. HAS too. Then, out of the corner of the chaos, I saw the young dude my dad brought with him sneak out the door.
Wait. That was weird. Why would he be...I was cut off by Katelyn's high-pitched, irritating voice.
"You don't need her, you have me now." I shook my head, trying to get away, but her mother grabbed my shoulder.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"To go talk to Azura?" I said, more of a question.
"Did you not hear her right? She doesn't want you." She tried to make her voice sympathetic, but it was just sickening. There was something odd going on.
"But-"
"But nothing. Let's just go have dinner, and you can act like you never met Azura. Besides, you have Katelyn now."
"But-" I tried again, but she cut me off again,
"Come on," she said, frustrated. I faintly heard a car engine start, and I thought...What the heck .She hates me now. Why would I want her back?
Phew. FOUR PAGES ON WORD! 1,194 words. (Just the story, not my little add-ons) I tried to make it extra long, because, like I said, school. D: Hope you enjoyed! Check out the song in the box, I love it.
