You purse your lips together as beads of sweat start collecting over the edge of your forehead.
You see your husband snoring peacefully, his hand protectively entangling yours.
Well ever since you got preggers, you've been having hard time taking a good night's sleep and so jungkook has tried his level best to calm you down.
It had become almost religious for him to come back home from work, help you chop veggies for dinner even despite him being so tired from a long day. He did not even flinch in the span of these 8 months to feed you dinner and breakfast.
The best part of your journey happens to be how calm he is with your horrific pregnancy symptoms!
If there is anyone who can sincerely control your hormones and the baby's stark raving kicks in your stomach well then that's gotta be your husband.
You two had only noticed how timely the baby's kicks had gotten by the end of your second trimester.
Jungkook would always help you lay down on bed as you would whine due to the immense pain the kicks would provide you with and there goes his relaxing massages that he'd do with the citrus oil he had bought after the doctor's recommendation.
Even though as would many consider arranged marriages to be kinda 'un happening', you knew your parents had made the righteous decision for you by choosing Jungkook for you.
He's one in a million! You couldn't have found a precious person like him even after a thousand years of searching.
You push jungkook's hand away as a feeling of restlessness perfoliates you....
You look around in the dark room as you encounter the dizzy spells like you've been experiencing them of late since you entered your final stage.
You gulp constantly as your throat feels dry, you feel an urgency to have something that could provide you with some energy boost; Glucose, Gatorade anything would do!
Your hands weakly sway next to your side, on the nightstand that is.... you wanted to turn the dim light on but incidentally your hand jerks forward instead letting the glass of water to fall down with a huge thud
You were about to get up but a sharp pain freezes you there and then, making it almost impossible for you to even squirm.
A loud moan escapes your lips in the process and the next thing you find is, all the lights in your room turning on, it was as though you were exposed.
You dizzily look around and find jungkook walking to the side of your bed, hurriedly picking the glass of water and sitting next to you before placing the glass on the counter again.
"What happened?" He asks as he looks at your state, sweat dripping down non-stop, hands clutching the lower abdomen, eyes getting heavy.
Your lips start trembling as you feel your abdomen getting heavier. A sharp contraction strikes like current at your core, making you buckle your thighs together.
A terrible whimper escapes your lips as you look at your husband.
A hefty sigh is all he could give in return as he puts two on two together, he looks around for his phone in order to call the ambulance but seeing that you were terribly in pain made him change his mind to take you to the hospital instead since the ambulance might take time.
"Just try to relax y/n" jungkook tries his best to not let any sign of fright escape through the tone of his voice. All he could think of was to get you to the hospital in time.
"J-Jungkook..." You hold his hand tightly, squeezing it, you close your eyes shut as the pain becomes a bit too painful than before.
"I'm here jagi...." He puts his other hand over your and rubs it assuringly, "I'll just go get the keys jagi.... We should get you to the hospital before anythi-"
"Noooo" you cry out loud, "you won't leave me at any cost aah..." Tears start dripping down your face, it feels like someone just accidentally dropped a firmly held sac down with force.
"Shh.... I'm not leaving you at all...." He says calmly, kissing your hand which was squeezing the life out of him.
"Would you be able to get up?"
You press your lips together and nod.
"Okay so, I'll be holding you hmm?" He gets up, without leaving your hand and slowly slides his other hand under your sleeping posture, trying to help you get up.
He pulls you upwards gently and makes you sit on bed.
"Ah good girl!" He tries to cheer you up but being in so much pain had made you almost apathetic
Jungkook pushes your slippers via his feet, "jagi.... would you able to walk?"
You nod and shift yourself towards the edge of the bed with his support.
You slowly wear your footwear and try getting up.
The moment you get up, jungkook holds you stiffly since your legs were giving in.
Soon enough you find a foreign dampness underneath making you squeeze jungkook's hand.
You lift your night dress up and see the water pooling on the floor beneath you.
You bite your inner cheek, it was unclear whether it was because of the embarrassment engulfing you or because of the fact that the pain was numbing your lower region.
You look with a terrified expression at your husband who in turn still pulls off to remain as much calm he can.
It was really amazing to know that he was handling it all so proficiently. Him not even showing slightest bit of his nervousness was indeed appreciable!
Your lips fall to their side, an evident frown plasters your face and soon enough you start crying
Jungkook hushes you down, "shh... It's okay.... Just try to breath properly jagi.... That's what matters"
He begins walking, holding you, you copy his steps putting up all your heavy weight on him.
Jungkook pushes the passenger's seat partially backwards in order to make you relax whilst he drives you two to the clinic.
"Jung... Jungkook..." You grit your teeth and start whining, the pain was only making it more and more uncomfortable for you to remain seated in one position for long
"We are almost there....." He says whilst driving off as fast as he could. Good thing was that there wasn't much traffic as it was mid night and so he got a chance to speed up the engine, not caring about breaking the rules by crossing god knows how many traffic lights.
He immediately runs inside the hospital and asks the nurse to pick you up since now it was almost next to impossible for you to even flinch, walking was definitely a far cry......

The nurse helps you out wear the shady hospital clothes before bringing you to the respective delivery ward.
You were way too much reluctant to let jungkook go anywhere out of your sight as much so as the poor guy had to pee in a bottle!

Counting your contractions was all you were doing for the past few hours.
You just wanted to distract yourself from the pain and so it was best to focus on something rather than whining about the same.
"Jagi.... are you feeling okay?"
"Will you stop asking me that!!" You scold him as you get annoyed at him for asking the same old question for the countless time
"Aww...." Jungkook chuckles, "you have no idea how cute you look right now"
You were about to shove all your anger on him but stop as a harsh dampness strikes you making you squeeze jungkook's hand for dear life
He looks at you concerned and calls out for the doctor who immediately gets inside.
You knew it was finally the time to meet your child. Your treasure.

"Aaaaaaahhhh..... Jung...kook!!" You whine as you push, "you are so bad at encouraging.... Oh god!!!!" You cry out loud as you keep pushing, buckling your hips together as you force out
"You yourself have been through labor once!! Ughh.... Don't you know... Mhmm... the pain- ughh"
The nurse awkwardly looks at jungkook but the doctor reminds her of the labor pain simulation, making her giggle
Jungkook just pouts, not minding the way he was being roasted since he knew it was all because of the frustration you were dealing with at the moment.
"Relax yourself for a minute y/n..." The doctor calmly instructs as she looks at your pitiful condition, all worn out because of trying too hard consistently
You rapidly breath as you feel yourself being short of air.
Jungkook rubs your palms so as to help with the blood circulation while the nurse offer you some water to drink.
The doctor again asks you to start pushing and you obey her.
After all the blood, sweat and tears (lol) the long awaited moment finally comes when the doctor asks you to give one final push as she claims she sees the baby crowning.
For a moment you just stop yourself completely, labor was tougher than you had thought, it wasn't just painful but required a lot of energy which you were getting short of.....
You start pushing but the amount of force you apply wasn't too adequate as was expected.
You lay your head on the hospital pillow and close your eyes for a while
"Jagi...." Jungkook whispers, "only one more push"
You look at jungkook weakly as much as you wanted to berserk at him just like how you've been doing so far, you couldn't because even that requires hell lot of power.....
"Y/n.... Last push.... For the sake of your baby!" The doctor cheers.
Your hands hold the bedframe tightly, you close your eyes and grit your teeth, spread your legs further apart and with all the teensiest bit of verve left in you, you push constantly till the doctor finally announces that you've welcomed your baby girl in this world after all the strong vigor and hard work.
Your baby girl soon fills in the room with her loud cries.
You on the other hand lay down on the bed as you get light headed.
Jungkook kisses your forehead before whispering how well you did today.
He doesn't disturbs you any further because he knew that you needed your rest.
It wasn't just your baby who was born in the process.... It was you and your husband who were born too, as parents.
This long awaited journey had finally come it's way, your world was now complete with your lovely daughter and the world's sweetest husband one can ever ask for.
