- Lillian's POV -
I looked at the clock.
8:47pm
"how about I order pizza since its already late?" I suggested.
mom nodded in agreement as dad grabbed the phone to order.
"I'm gonna go shower." I said to mom who nodded in response.
"I want cheese." I called out as I jogged up the stairs.
I grabbed my big fluffy blue towel and my sponge before going into my bathroom and starting my shower.

as I turned the water off, the doorbell rang throughout the house, telling me that the pizza was here.
I stepped out of the shower wrapped in my towel and dried off.
I then exited the bathroom and closed my door to get dressed.
I picked out a random bra and pantie set and a spaghetti strap tank top along with my grey short shorts.
I put the bra and underwear on and stood in front of my mirror.
I actually felt quite satisfied with the way I looked for once in my life.
I had gained weight but my tummy was still flat.
I looked more alive. my skin wasn't pale. my hair wasn't dark and lifeless. and my lips almost automatically formed a smile.
I ran a brush through my hair before putting on my shorts and tank top.
I skipped down the stairs to the dining room where everyone else had already began eating.
mom gave me a weird look before looking at dad who also had a weird look.
mom looked back at me before speaking. "what are you wearing?" she asked, almost annoyed.
"what do you mean? I'm wearing clothes." I said with an attitude before taking my seat along side Mackenzie who was just picking at her food.
"go change." mom demanded.
"no. there is nothing wrong with what I'm wearing." I stated.
"your clothes, or lack of clothes rather, is disrespectful. you should not be wearing that with your father in the room. those shorts could pass as underwear." mom scolded.
I rolled my eyes as i took a bite of my pizza and swallowed it.
I acted as if nothing happened but avoided my parents gazes.
I continued to take more bites.
I heard dad clear his throat, trying to get my attention.
"Lillian, didn't your mother just ask you to go change?" he asked strictly.
"maybe." I mumbled, not looking up.
"then wouldn't it be obedient to do so?" he pushed.
"there is nothing wrong with what I'm wearing, Dad!" I practically yelled.
"go to your room and do NOT come out until you have changed your clothes and your attitude." mom calmly ordered.
I rolled my eyes and stood up before running up to my room.
I felt myself getting extremely worked up and I just wanted to scream.
but I wasn't going to do that.
I quickly went over to my drawer and opened it.
after rummaging for a few minutes, I finally pulled out the hidden pill bottle.
I read the label over and over again.
Ambien 5mg
enough to knock me out.
don't judge me okay.
I just wanted a temporary fix.
I took two out a dry swallowed them.
I stood there for about five minutes before suddenly feeling heavy.
I smiled at the affect and laid down.
I was sleep in a heart beat.

I woke up to my bed shaking AMD dipping.
I opened my eyes to see Mackenzie laying next to me.
it was a little light outside but not quite day light.
I looked at the clock.
5:13am
ugh.
"what's wrong, baby?" I asked her.
she shrugged and stuck her thumb in her mouth.
"you were talking in your sleep." she lisped through her thumb.
"really? what did I say?"
"something about your dad." she shrugged.
I nodded and closed my eyes again as Mackenzie cuddled up to me.
