Tessa's P.O.V:
Andrew tucks his phone back into his pocket after he sends our brothers a text. Chris walks in and smiles at me lightly before he turns to madre and lets out a sigh.
"Did she say anything else?" Chris asks.
"No." I shake my head. The door swings open and I watch Jacob walk in before he is followed by Alex, Leonardo, Liam and Jay.
"You look beautiful." Jay says, making me smile lightly before I nod at him and whisper a quick thank you. He then turns to Karla. "You look amazing, Karla." He says to Karla. Karla clears her throat and looks away from him as she folds her arms across her chest.
What's up with her?
"Madre." Leonardo says as he sinks down infront of her. "Look at me." He calls her as she rummages through her handbag.
"Talk to them, Leonardo." Mom says.
"To who?" He asks.
"To your big brother and birdezella over there." She says, making me roll my eyes as I shake my head.
"The ceremony should have started five minutes ago, mama." Alex says. "We need to-" He carries on but immediately stops talking when madre holds up her hand to silence him.
"This ceremony will not start until your father is here to walk her down the aisle-" She says in anger but gets cut off.
"Father is not coming!" Jacob states.
"And I don't want to here another word out of you all until he is here!" She raises her voice at us all, making us all go quiet.
"Madre." Andrew says. "Papa is not coming. We have guest waiting outside in the cold. Tessa is getting married-" He adds and gets cut off as Micheal walks in.
"Not without her father walking her down the aisle she isn't!" She snaps
"Papa is not coming. He just phoned." Micheal says as he closes the door behind himself and locks it. "We're ten minutes late. Let's go." He adds.
"Why isn't he coming?" She asks.
"He has work." Micheal shrugs.
"Work on his daughters wedding?" Madre says in disbelief.
"Yes, mama. He's busy." Micheal adds. I look up at Jacob and Jay when they lean closer to eachother.
"Yeah, busy burning in hell." Jay whispers as Jacob laugh silently whilst the others try to convince mom to get up. I shake my head at them and look away.
"He's not coming to his daughters wedding." Mom lets out a sigh.
"No." Micheal shakes his head.
"And you won't wait for him until he's free?" She asks.
"The ceremony should have started already, Madre. We can't wait for him any longer." He says sadly.
"Well then...It's only right if I don't go either." She says as she looks away from Micheal.
"What?" Liam and I say at the same time.
"Mama, Tessa is getting married. You weren't their for her first wedding at least be here for this one." He shakes his head.
"What will everyone think if I go there without your father?" She says.
"Not much since he's never there for anything else." Jacob shrugs. "He wasn't there for Andrews wedding or Leonardo's. He wasn't even there for Micheals." He adds.
"How dare you-" She says as she slowly raises up.
"He's dead, mama." Micheal snaps, making Madre look down at him quickly. "He's not coming to the wedding because he died three months ago." He adds, making the rest of us sigh.
"What the hell are you doing, Micheal?" Andrew hisses.
"You have Alzheimer's." Micheal says, completely ignoring Andrew. Chris shakes his head as he walks away and stands next to Karla. "He died and-" Micheal carries on but gets cut off by our mom when she slaps him.
"How dare you make up such lies!" She hisses. "I raised you better than this!" She adds.
"It's the truth." Alexander quickly cuts in.
"He can't be-" She starts and gets cut off.
"Well he has and he's been dead for the past three months." Jay says. "You have to let go." He adds. "Or at least let this go for one day. It's Tessa's wedding." He says as takes my hand. I follow him before he stops me infront of Andrew.
"Come on, mama. Get up. Your daughter is getting married." Liam says as Jay places my hand in Andrew big one.
***
We walk towards the huge tent that's in Marshall's back garden. Well, you can't exactly call this garden when it's the size of a village. His place is so big that even this tent doesn't take half of it up and the tent is huge.
"Mom." Iris calls me. I smile lightly as my eyes scan her peach/white dress. All three of my bridesmaid look beautiful! "They're all getting worried. The ceremony should have started half an hour ago." She tells me as we hug.
"Well i'm here now." I whisper before we pull back.
"You look beautiful." She tells me.
"Thank you." I say before she hands me my bouquet.
"Good. You're here." Paul rushes towards me. "You're late." He mumbles.
"At least she's here." Andrew clears his throat as he stands next to me.
"Yes. Now let's get started." He says before he walks off. I give each of my brothers a hug and my heartbroken mother a kiss before they walk off inside.
I watch the hairstylist as she gives my bridesmaid one last touch up before the music begins. After a quick hug, my bridesmaids get in line before they dissappear into the tent.
My hands tremble as I wrap it around Andrews arm whilst the make up artist and a few of the other girls fix my veil and dress that at least a few feet long. The veil is a few inches shorter than the back of my dress which is at least three meters long.
"You ready?" Andrew whispers as I we stand at the entrance. My eyes scan the rows of guest. There's more than a hundred that's for sure.
No.
"Yes." I nod and swallow the lump in my throat. I tighten my grip around Andrews arm before we start to walk down the aisle.
My eyes drift away from the guest and onto Nick who winks at me, making me smile sightly. My eyes land on Marshall and he holds my gaze for a few seconds before he says something, making Nick quickly look at him.
I watch as Nick whispers to Marshall before he taps Marshall on the shoulder and takes a step back. A picture of Marshall and I flashes before my eyes, making me slow down a little.
What the hell was that?
More pictures of Marshall and I laughing and talking and kissing flash before my eyes before I stop in my tracks. My eyes knit together in confusion as Marshall and I hold eachothers gaze.
"Tessa?" Andrew calls me. "Tess." He whispers again but for some reason, I can't form words. I can't speak.
~ Flashback ~
I yell for Nick as people run and push past me. My feet come to stop as I let out a helpless sigh. I start to reach for my phone when I realise that I left my jacket in the club which has my phone in it.
Men and women scream and yell when more shots ring in the air. I get pushed onto the ground as people run for their lives. I hear Marshall scream my name as I reach for the front entrance.
"Tessa!" I hear Marshall scream my name once again. I stay laying on my stomach on the ground as I watch him push through the hundreds of bodies that are running past him.
"Why aren't you inside?" I whisper even though I know he can't hear me.
Marshall stumbles back a little when he gets pushed out of the way by a lady in a blue dress. I try to get up but fail miserably when I feel somone in heels run on top of me.
"Marshall." I breath in and out painfully as I watch Marshall try to come towards me.
My eyes shift away from him and I turn to my right and freeze. My breathing gets heavier when I catch a glimpse of Nicks grey jacket as he lays on the floor.
"Nick!" I scream. I try to get up but fail to do so as people rush past me and push me back onto the ground as tears fill up my eyes.
"Tessa! Where are you!" I hear Marshall scream. I let out a scream and quickly cover my face when a man trips and falls, knocking his knee into my face. I raise my shaky hand up and touch my nose that is now bleeding. "Tessa!" Marshall shouts again.
"I'm here!" I shout but my words get drowned by the sound of bullets being shot. I turn away from Marshall and sob as I get onto my knees and hands before I crawl towards Nick who's laying on the floor with his back towards me.
"Why is this happening." I whisper to myself as I sniff. "Nick!" I scream as I get closer to him.
I let out a painful scream and start to cry harder when I get knocked onto the ground again when someone trips over me, making me fall face first onto the ground.
Nick rolls onto his back slowly before he lifts his head up and looks up at me. My eyes scan his pale face and then the blood that's all over his neck and all over his shoulder. I let out a sob when my eyes drop to his white shirt that's soaked in blood. Nick yells something to me but I can't hear him due to the crowd screaming.
"I'm c-com-ming." I stutter before four more shots get fired into the air.
"No. G-get bf-back inside!" Nicks words reach me as I get closer and closer to him. "Marshall. Get her inside!" He yells, making me shake my head as tears run down my cheek.
"Marshall! No!" I scream as I get pulled up from the floor.
I sob and scream as I trash in Marshall's arms and try to push him away from me but it's no use, he's too strong for me. I feel him tighten his grip on me as I reach our for Nick before he quickly turns me around to face him. My heart drops and my eyes widen when I come face to face with a masked face.
"Marshall!" Nick screams.
"What are-" My words get cut short and everything around me goes quiet as I look at my stomach.
The masked figure pulls out the knife out of me, letting the blood spread and stain my white dress. I let out a painful moan and cry as I grip onto his black jacket. Another gasp escapes my lips when he stabs the blood stained knife back into me as he keeps his arm wrapped around me.
Nicks screams fill my ears the same time more shots get fired, making the people run around us faster. I keep my eyes locked onto the mans dark chocolate coloured eyes as he stabs the knife back inside me, making me grunt
I tremble as tears run down my cheek like a waterfall. My breath comes out shaky as I look away from that monster and look down at the knife with my mouth hanging open. I watch the knife as it gets pulled out of me again, making me let out a small gasp with all the energy I have left in me.
"D-don't.." I whimper before the masked man stabs the blood stained knife back inside me one last time, making me clutch onto his jacket tighter. This whole time, Nick has been screaming and begging the man to stop.
"Please...Please let her go. Let her go!" I hear Nick sob.
I tremble under his gaze as I sob silently and watch him as he raises the knife up to my face. He places the knife against my face, making me let out a sob as I watch in horror. The man then spreads the blood across my neck and chest as if he's spreading butter on bread.
Nicks screams get louder as he begs for the man to let me go again. The man drops me on the ground and drops the knife next to me and steps over my body
I tilt my head to the side slowly and watch the asshole walk towards Nick. I shake my head as he lowers down infront of Nick. I scream and beg the man to get away from Nicklaus.
A loud scream escapes from my lips when the man takes his gun out. I watch in horror as the man shoots the gun, making Nick let out a painful scream as he jerks up a little. I watch the man stands up and steps over Nicks body as if he's noting before he runs away.
"No. Get away from me. Get away from me!" I scream. I stop moving when I realise it's only Marshall.
I let Marshall pull me up onto his lap as I watch Nick and sob. More tears run down my cheeks when I notice his face get paler as tears run down his face. He shot Nick in leg and I can see a knife sticking out of Nick. He stabbed him too.
"...N-no...Tessa..." Marshall's cries fill up my ears as his body trembles against mine. I look up at him as I lay in his arm.
"Help N-nick, Marshall." My voice comes out all shaky.
"Fuck...Fuck...Fuck." Marshall whispers and ignores me as he presses down on my wound. My eyes slowly start to close by its self, making me quickly open them again and my body starts to feel numb.
"How's Nick?" I ask.
"He's..." Marshall trails off and looks behind him. "He has three people around him. He'll be fine." Marshall says quickly and looks back down at me.
"T-thats good." I force a smile onto my pale lips as tears run down the corner of my eyes and dissappear into my hair. "T-thats great." I whisper again and watch the fear in Marshalls eyes grow stronger. "M-arshall. Loo-ok at me." I stutter as I place my hand on top of his. "I..I.. L-love you." I state as I suck in a sharp breath.
"Tessa. Don't." Marshall says quickly.
"Can you say it back?" I ask. "I love you." I whisper. "Say it back, I want to hear you say it." I add and reach out for his face.
"No." He shakes his head, still refusing to look at me. "Because it sounds like you're saying goodbye." He adds. "And i'm not letting you leave me." He says through gritted teeth as his eyes sparkle with tears. "I need a paramedic here!" Marshall shouts to no one in particular.
"Tell...Iris that I lover her." I half whisper, making Marshall quickly look down at me.
"Baby. Listen to me." Marshall whispers as tears run down his cheek. I watch him as he places his blood stained hand against my cheek. "You are going to get through this." He states. Just when he finishes speaking, more shots ring in the air making Marshall quickly duck as I let out a loud scream and cry. "You're okay...You're fine." He whispers quickly.
"I dont't care about myself." I tell him. There's no chance of me surviving this. "You're going to get hurt. Go inside." I tell him and watch him sit up again.
"No." Marshall shakes his head quickly.
"I-iris...S-she needs o-one of us t-there." I stutter through the pain and let out a long breath.
"We're are both going to be there for her, you hear me?" He half yells. I watch him as he removes his jacket and then places it back on the wound quickly as he squeezes his eyes shut.
"Is it bad?" I ask.
"No." Marshall shakes his head. "It's a little cut." He half whispers.
"I don't want to die." I tell him. "God, Marshall I don't want to die!" I sob. Marshall's leans down and places his head against mine as he cries. This is the first time I have ever seen him cry. "I'm scared. I don't want to die." I cry.
"Don't be scared. I'm right here." Marshall sniffs as he wipe's his tears away. "You're not going to die. You hear me baby?" He says. "You are not going to die." He whispers.
"Hey. Do you need any help. I'm a doctor." A man runs towards us.
"Yes. We need help!" Marshall says quickly.
"B-but...It's just a small cut, right M-marshall?" I turn to face him as I place my shaky hands that are stained in blood on his cheeky. "Just a small cut?" I repeat.
"I need you to carry her inside." The man says. I let Marshall place my arms around his neck before he lifts me up.
"Yeah. It's just a small cut." Marshall nods. "I love you." He adds as he carries me and follows the doctor.
"Hey." I let out a painful laugh and stop laughing when the pain shoots through me. "You s-said...Marshall you said I wasn't going to d-die and I thought we weren't saying goodbye?" I say through gritted teeth, making him smile at me sadly.
"This isn't good bye, Tessa...And you are not dying." He shakes his head. "This is more like...I'll see you soon." He adds. "I love you." He whispers again.
"I love you too baby." I whisper back as my eyes flutter close.
"Tessa. Keep your eyes open. Keep your eyes open for me baby." Marshall says quickly, making me snap my eyes open. "We're nea-" He starts but gets cut off when one last gun shot rings in the air.
It feels like time has stopped around us and everything is on mute for a couple of seconds. A painful moan escapes Marshall lips, making my heart drop. A loud scream escapes my lips when I feel him drop me. My head hits the sidewalk and everything around me goes dark.
~ End Of Flashback ~
"Tessa." Andrew whispers as he shakes me lightly. I take step back as I look up at him in shock. "What's wrong?" He whispers.
I look away from my big brother and at the hundreds of guest. I open my mouth but shut it again when my mind drifts off to the flash back. Tears fill up my eyes as I look to the front and at Marshall.
"He's okay." I whisper.
"Who's okay?" Andrew asks. More tears run down my cheek slowly when my eyes drift off to my bestfriend Nick and then to my daughter Iris.
"Both of them....They're okay." I half whisper, making Andrew look away from me and at my soon to be husband and my bestfriend.
