"...Fate."

I stared at Koenma in disbelief. I could see the discomfort beginning to show to Jorge's face as he anxiously looked at Koenma. Koenma, on the other hand, had the nerve to keep me waiting. I had arrived in the Spirit World about 10 minutes after Botan told me to stop by. When I arrived, I was expecting the information to be done. However... it looks like it wasn't the case. I shouldn't have kept my hopes up. This was Koenma after all.

"Koenma..", I mumbled with a slight smile, "It seems to me that you have forgotten that I am still here. Tell me, would you like for me to burn down this entire place? Just as I had did to Makai long ago?" "That's no good Kana", Koenma replied, not bothering to look up at me form the paperwork that he was focused on, "You do that and everything will be lost. Oyaji would kill me." "Then why don't you just hand over the information that I asked for instead of wasting my time?", I asked. "Oh! About that!", he suddenly exclaimed. He looked up at me as if he realized something. "I don't have it yet!" I watched as the color of Jorge's face turn completely white. "Oh?", I mumbled. "Nothing?" "Nope!", he nonchalantly replied. "Nothing at all!" I walked over to his desk and smiled. "Then what was the point of me coming all the way to the Spirit World if you don't have anything at all!???", I shouted as I reached over at tugged on Koenma's ear. "Owww!! Oww! Owww!! OWWWW!", he cried, "I'LL TELL YOU JUST LET GO." I let go of him and watched as he switched forms. He changed from his child form to the slightly "adult", quote-on-quote, form. "Jeez", he sighed, "I thought I was going to die." "So?", I asked. "The reason why I asked Botan to tell you to come here is because I found out a little while ago that one of the Guardians before Ciel and Oka was also associated with the Hunter Groups in Ningenkai." "Oh? Is that so?" Koenma nodded his head.

"I guess that you can say I found out about one of the stones whereabouts. However it's a bit vague and I'm not entirely sure about it yet. Apparently one of the Guardians was associated with a Hunter Group in Ningenkai. I don't know which group it was but that was the very last time the stone was ever seen or mentioned. I think it was the Green Stone.. I'm not sure. All I know is that stone never made it back to the Spirit World in order to be given to the successor of the Guardian position. I thought I'd tell this you since you are associated with the Nakanishi Clan back in Ningenkai."

I frowned at Koenma. "I thought you said you didn't have any information, you liar", I mumbled. "Well.. I don't really consider that information since I haven't confirmed that it's true but.. I guess it counts?", Koenma replied. "You're sending me to investigate aren't you", I nonchalantly asked. "Bingo", he bluntly replied. There was a cheeky smile on his face. "Information like this is rare to come across", he said, "I'm so glad it wasn't lost." "Thankfully", I sighed.

"...Because if you hadn't found it, you would have died."

"...Because if I hadn't found it, I would have died."

The both of us stared at each other before laughing. "In any case", I said, beginning to leave, "I'll see to it and hope that the information is real." "Meanwhile, I'll keep looking for the other stone", Koenma added. "See you later", he called out. "See you", I replied.

[Oka P.O.V.]

As I stared at the envelope that Senri gave me, I wondered if it had been hard for him to get. When it came to the archives, getting information was very hard. I wondered if he had to do something to get his hands on it. Usually you had to get Grandfathers permission before getting the information. However, Grandfather was out on a few errands. I didn't know when he was going to get back so I asked Senri instead. It was probably a bad idea but.. I trusted him.

When I opened the envelope, there were a few papers inside. Most of which were very old and crumpled. The first paper I took out was about a person named Anzu. According to what was written, she was a person that was sent over to help aide the hunters in defeating the evil that existed in the world. Apparently.. before she died, she left the hunters with a memento. It was a stone of some sort. A few years past and the stone eventually became an heirloom to the Maeda Clan. I set the paper down and looked at the next one. This time, it was a sketch of the stone. Apparently it was a stone "untouched by time". I stared at the picture in disbelief. The heirloom of the Maeda Clan was a ring? I looked into it a little bit further until I decided that it was enough. They called it the "Maeda Stone", something that would be passed down through marriage. I had to tell Kana about it. Moreover, I had to worry about how we were going to retrieve the stone. It was an heirloom to the Maeda Clan. I only knew two people who originated from that branch of hunters. Mitsuru and Senri. If anything, they probably knew about it. However after what happened, I didn't think I could bring myself to speak to them.

Maybe I would just have Kana do the rest? Then again, it was a bad idea to have Shiori suddenly appear in the household. She was supposed to be "dead". Maybe I would just have to do it myself after all. I guess it was time to stop running.

I sighed at the thought of it and reached for my phone. I reluctantly began to dial Senri's number. If anything, I would ask him for the information that I needed. In this case, it was to ask about the wedding. I anxiously waited for him to answer. And when he finally did, I sighed in relief. "Hello?", he asked. "Senri?" There was a pause. "Ara~ If it isn't Oka-chan", he said, "Is there something you need?" "Yes, that's right", I mumbled. "I wanted to ask about.. the wedding.." I could imagine him grinning. "You want to know?", he asked. I could hear the mischief in his voice. "Yes", I replied. "Don't tell me you plan on crashing it", he chuckled. "No, not at all", I replied with a light smile. "However I do have a small request."

"It's about the Maeda Stone. Can you.. tell me about it?"
