The guy with crimson red eyes walked to the locker room. He went to his locker,seeing an envelope. He opened it,confused.
"Sorry,I still don't know who you are. ~Maka Albarn"
He looked down,keeping the picture. He tried to send a letter twice,but he was always turned down by her. He had no choice but to go back to his homeroom class. As soon as he stepped inside,two guys greeted him.
"Hey Soul !" Blackstar said with a chuckle. Kid went to them,bro-fisting with Soul. "Hey guys."
"Have you made a move yet ?" Kid asked. Soul sighed,shaking his head. "Nope. I can't get a perfect timing." Soul said.
"Don't worry ! She'll notice you soon !" Blackstar patted his back. "Speaking of her. Here she goes."
Kid smiled,looking outside. Soul turned to see her,the girl he loves. Maka Albarn,the most popular girl in the school. Carrying her usual book,with her pigtails tight and her emerald orbs shining. She was known as the smartest student in the school.
Soul's eyes widened as he glanced at her. For him,the time stopped. Maka's black coat followed behind her,taking an accidental glance at him. She shot a smile,then continued walking again.
"Did you see that ? She smiled at you !" Blackstar chuckled. Soul followed her gaze with his eyes. He stared at her until she disappeared as she went into her homeroom class.
His heart was beating fast. It was the first time she noticed him. He was stalking her almost all the time.
"Y-yeah…" Soul grinned,looking back at Blackstar. "She did !" He added.
[Meanwhile…]
"Maka,why did you sent that sorry letter ? He's a nice guy. He's cool,good-looking,gentle,kind. He's a full package !" Liz nudged her side. Maka slightly blushed,looking at her.
"Shut up,Liz. He doesn't know how to gain confidence. I don't like cowards. Sending letters. I like guys introducing personally." Maka sighed.
"But admit it,you like him." Tsubaki giggled. "No way. He's not my type." Maka grumbled. Chorus of 'Aw's and 'Why's came from the three.
"Come on,don't turn him down ! You two look good together !" Patti added. "Yeah !" Liz laughed. "Psh… Whatever." Maka grumbled,walking away.
She was walking alone,guard down when she bumped against someone. She dropped her book,taking a step back. "Oh,sorry ! I didn't mean to bump to you !" She quickly apologized,bending down to take her book.
The person took it for her,handing it. "It's nothing." He smiled. Maka took a glance at the person,seeing the guy she just smiled at earlier. Soul Evans.
"Oh… Uhm… Thank you…" She smiled,taking her book. 'This is it ! Thank you,Lord Death ! I have a chance !' Soul thought to himself,doing his best to keep his cool.
"Your welcome…" He smiled again. Maka gazed at him,then lent her hand. "Hi. I'm Maka Albarn." She giggled.
Soul took a glance at her hand,slightly blushing. 'Not cool,Soul.' He mentally slapped himself.
"Soul Evans…" He replied,taking her hand.
Maka nodded,looking at him. "So… You're that guy before." She said. Soul was about to say something when the bell rang. "Oh,sorry Soul. I have to go." Maka sighed. Soul nodded,shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Nice meeting you,anyways !" Maka giggled before running off.
Soul grinned happily,watching. "I already know you,I'm one of your stalkers…" He slightly laughed before taking a run to his room.
[In class…]
"Really ? You shaked hands with her ?" Kid asked. "Yeah." Soul smiled. Blackstar grinned. "You're finally making moves,Soul ! Good one !" He chuckled.
"Okay class,before we start the lesson,I have an announcement." Stein announced. "The whole 4th year class will be having a play about Romeo and Juliet. Our class needs a Romeo representative,cause the other class have Ms. Maka Albarn as the Juliet representative." Stein said.
Kid and Blackstar looked at each other with huge grins. "Nomination is now open." Stein said.
Soul looked at the two,clueless. "Stein ! I have someone !" Kid yelled,raising his hand.
"Oh. Okay Kid,who do you want to nominate ?" Stein asked.
"Soul Evans !" He laughed. Soul looked startled,looking at Kid. Kid winked,then Blackstar chuckled.
"Hmmm… Anyone else ?" Stein asked. Ox Ford,one of the students was about to raise his hand when Kid glared at him. Ox Ford also love Maka,so Kid warned him.
'You'll leave this school once you nominate yourself.'
Kid texted Ox's phone. He read it,then slowly nodded,gulping. Kid is Lord Death's son so he can do that easily.
"Hmmm… No one. Okay then,Soul Evans is our representative." Stein smiled,twisting the bolt in his head.
"Uh… Okay…" Soul said,nodding. "This will be fun." Kid laughed,same as Blackstar.
[Timeskip,day of play (Sorry I'm too lazy to write practices xD)]
They practiced the play for two weeks. Maka and Soul were close to each other than before,and they both know the same thing.
They're inlove with each other.
Kid and Blackstar was helping Soul for stuff. Maka,on the other hand,always tells her friends how her days go with Soul.
"This is it,Soul ! Are you ready ?" Blackstar asked.
"Yeah,but somehow nervous…" Soul sighed. "It's fine. I'm sure,it'll be a success." Kid smiled.
"How should I tell her…?" Soul asked. "Just tell her how you feel. That's all." Kid smiled. "Yeah… I'm sure she loves you back. You two are like bestfriends !" Blackstar added.
Soul grinned,looking at the two. "Thanks guys… And don't worry,after I tell Maka how I feel,I'll help you two." Soul gave a thumbs up.
"Yeah yeah. Fix yourself. Your 'Juliet' is waiting." Blackstar grinned,fixing his collar. Soul nodded,giving a high five to them. Then he went to where the cast are,sighing.
"Hi Soul !" Maka went to him with a smile. She was wearing a pink and white dress,looking really close to Juliet. Her hair was tied into a bun,some hair left beside her head and curled.
"H-hey… You look good today…" Soul did his signature grin,looking at her. "Thanks… And… You also look handsome today. You look good in that clothes…" Maka smiled.
Soul just nodded,then sat on a bench. Maka sat beside him,silent. It was an awkward silence between the two. 'Dang… Soul,think of a topic !' Soul thought to himself.
'Psh… I'll look like an idiot if I do the first move…' Maka thought,sighing. She always admired him,but hid it because she's too afraid to tell.
[Flashback]
"Maka,tell him how you feel ! It's now or never…" Liz said. "Yeah ! So we can be friends with his friends too…" Tsubaki added.
"Why ? So you can be friends with that Blackstar guy ?" Liz snickered. Tsubaki blushed,shaking her head furiously. "Hmph ! You're saying that cause you like that Kid !" Tsubaki said.
"Shut up ! Someone might hear you…" Liz pleaded.
Maka just sighed,looking at them. Patti's the only one without a dream guy. But it's fine,she loves her girraffes.
"Psh… Anyways,back to Maka and
"Maka/Soul"
Both turned to each other,saying their names in unison. "Oh… Hehe… You go first…" Soul chuckled.
"No… You go first." Maka laughed. Soul sighed,then smiled.
"Uhm… Tell me if yow feel awkward,okay ?" Soul said. Maka nodded.
"I was the one who sent you letters twice… I was one of your stalkers before. I fell for you since I saw you in the first day of school…" He sighed again,looking down in embarrassment.
"Uhm… I don't understand what you mean…" Maka mumbled,confused.
"Maka Albarn,I love you." Soul looked at her eyes,having a nervous feeling. Maka looked startled,blushing furiously.
"S-soul,I…" Maka mumbled,but she was interrupted.
"Kid and Blackstar helped me to get the Romeo role in this. Just to get this close to you. To be the Romeo that will be partnered to a Juliet like you…" Soul mumbled,playing with his thumbs.
Maka can't help but to smile. For her,he looked cute that way. She smiled then kissed his cheek.
"Don't worry,Mr. Evans. I love you too." She giggled,standing up.
"The play will start ! Let's go to the backstage,Romeo-kun !"
Soul blushed,looking at her. He does love him back,just like what Kid and Blackstar predicted. He grinned,standing up.
"Aye aye,Juliet !" He smirked,following her as she walked.
