Chantelle
Phone Conversation
Crystal: " Hello?"
Chantelle: " Hey girl"
Crystals: " Whats up?"
Chantelle: " Nothing just laying in bed, but guess what"
Crystal: " What happened?"
Chantelle: " Well, im supposed to go out with Marcus today"
Crystal: " On a date?!?!? What, your engaged Telle"
Chantelle: " Shut up not on a date, we are just going to hang out maybe grab something to eat "
Crystal: " Soo did you tell Trey?"
Chantelle: " Yea of course"
Crystal: " And what did he say?"
Chantelle: " At first he was hella pissed, but then i explained to him how much Marcus means to me and that he's a good guy and all that shit"
Crystal: " Oh well thats good, did you hear about mom and Forrest moving down here?"
Chantelle: " Yea im super excited, we have to have them over for dinner tomorrow" I said as i started to file my nails
Crystal: " Yeah that would be nice! I'd make some dessert. But yo, what time are you supposed to meet up with Marcus" I glanced over at the clock and realised it was already 3:00
Chantelle: " Oh shit, im about to be late. I'll call you when i get back"
I said getting off the bed. I hung up the phone and went into my closet to find something to wear. I put it on then went downstairs to get my shoes. I saw Trey sitting on the couch talking to someone on the phone. I mouthed " i'll be back" and kissed him on his cheek. When i got into the car i texted Marcus and told him to meet me at this bar close by. I turned on my engine and started to drive. A few minutes passed and i arrived at the bar. I got out and went in. Marcus wasnt there yet so i decided to take a seat and order. I called over the bartender and ordered myself a strawberry margarita. He handed it to me and i started to lightly sip on it. Before i knew it Marcus was rushing through the door.
Marcus: " Shit, sorry im late" He said as i stood up. I put my drink down and gave him the longest hug
Chantelle: " Ahh, its okay, i missed you" I said smiling and sitting back down
Marcus: " I missed you too Chantelle" He said smiling and looking deep in my eyes. He realised what he was doing and then dropped his head
Marcus: " Um im going to order now" He said waving the bartender, he ordered a glass of whiskey. When the bartender returned with it he took a sip and then placed it back down on the table.
Marcus: " So how have you been?"
Chantelle: " I have been great, ever since the engagement i've been super happy"
Marcus: " Oh yeah, congrats on that. Im super happy for you guys" He said sipping his drink and lookinf uncomfortable. I set my drink down on the table and started swirling my straw in it.
Marcus: " Whats wrong?"
Chantelle: " I know your lying" I said srunching my brows
Marcus: " About what ?"
Chantelle: " About being happy for us, your lying about it because i know your not really happy for us."
Marcus: " I really am, it's just that, i dont know" He said sipping his drink and looking away
Chantelle: " Its just what Marcus, you can tell me you know. " I said resting my hand on his knee.
Marcus: " Well, i dont know if you already knew this, but i actually have strong feelings towards you Telle. Like some strong ass ones. I cant even sleep because im always thinking about you. And i know it sounds weird but thats just how it is. So basically, its just really hard to see you with Trey all the time when i know that you should be with me" He said sighing.
Chantelle: " Damn. Ok well um. Thats really nice of you Marcus. And im going to be honest, i did gain some feelings when we went out a few times, but the whole time i couldnt get my mind off of Trey. You are seriously, an amazing guy and i've never met anyone like you before but i love Trey. "
Marcus: " Yea, i figured you would say that. "
Chantelle: " But that doesnt mean that we cant be friends," I said smiling
Marcus: " I guess" He said smiling back . We ordered some more drinks and began to laugh and talk. It was so nice to talk to Marcus again. Im glad that he confessed his feelings about me because i was getting really confused on where he was coming from, but now i get it.
Marcus: " And remember that time when we were walking along the beach and you tripped" He said almost spitting out his drink
Chantelle: " Shut up! I swear you remember every embarrassing thing that i do " I said laughing
Marcus: " Nahh, its just the way that you fell had me dying!" He said laughing harder. I pouted out my bottom lip and crossed my arms.
Marcus: "Okay okay im sorry" He said laughing and putting down my arms.
Chantelle: " Yea you better be. Im nit afraid to beat your ass"
Marcus: " Beat my ass? I dare you Chantelle " He said smiling
Chantelle: " You think im joking? "
Marcus: "Nah but i know that your too weak "He said smirking
Chantelle: " You must not know me then!" I said laughing.
Marcus: " I know that your crazy, but your a good type of crazy. "
Chantelle: " Yea your just trying to be nice. Its not going to work pretty boy " i said laughing and sipping my drink
Marcus: " Was that supposed to be an insult,i mean i know im sexy but damn " He said stroking his chin and licking his lips
Chantelle: " Ewww this is exactly why i hate you "
Marcus: "Shut up thats exactly why you love me" he said staring in my eyes. I laughed and then quickly looked away as i felt butterflies build up in my stomach. I started to take the straw and stir my drink with it again. Why does he make me feel this way ? Theres just something about him thats undescribable. Hes not better than Trey but he still has this effect on me. I looked back up at him and smiled.
Marcus: " Whats so funny?"
Chantelle: " Nothing, just thinking"
Marcus: " About? " he said cheesing
Chantelle: " Um. Just stupid shit. i think i drank to much" i said pushing my glass away
Marcus: " Yeah its only 5 oclock. You wanna walk it off?"
Chantelle: " Yea that sounds nice " i said smiling. We paid for the drinks and left. We began walking around town passing by alot of things. It was a beautiful evening so everything was perfect. We finally came back around to my car.
Marcus: " So i guess this is it ?"
Chantelle: " Haha what do you mean this is it?" I said unlocking my car
Marcus: " To our date"
Chantelle: " You mean to our get together, its not a date silly"
Marcus: "Yeah same shit"
Chantelle: " Well it doesnt have to be the end. We can always meet up again you know ! and you have my number so you can always call me if you miss me "
Marcus: " Ew who said im gonna miss you "
Chantelle: " You said it yourself loser"
I said pushing his arm.We both laughed and then there was a silence between us. I looked up at him and he was scratching the back of his head. We looked deeply into eachothers eyes for a few moments. Before i knew it his lips were pressed up against mine. I stumbled a little and leaned up against my car. He quickly pulled away.
Marcus: " Telle ... im .. im so sorry i dont know what came over me . God im such an idiot i .... " I quickly pulled him back and kissed him again. When we released he looked at me and smiled. What the fuck did i just do. The fact that he kissed me first but i kissed him back makes it ten times worse.
Marcus: " I dont think we should have done that"
Chantelle: " No we shouldnt have. oh god how am i supposed to tell Trey, i promised him nothing would happen." I said rubbing my head and pacing around
Marcus: " Just dont tell him. Hes never going to find out"
Chantelle: "No i cant do that we promised not to keep shit from eachother even when we mess up"
Marcus: " Well i dont know , im really sorry ... not really cause i enjoyed that shit but im really sorry" He said smirking.
Chantelle: " Do you realise that i am fucking engaged Marcus! I could lose Trey for good "I said pushing him
Marcus: " Woah woah, ok just tell him what you did and if he gets upset and leaves i'll guarentee that he will come right back. He loves you too much to be upset and have to deal with all that bullshit. Just relax "
Chantelle: " Ugh i hope your right Marcus. Okay i'll see you later then"I said hugging him. He hugged me back and i got in my car and left. I really hope Trey doesnt take this too bad. I love him with all my heart and i cant afford to lose him. But i cant understand why one of us always ends up cheating. How are we supposed to get engaged when both of us keep fucking messing up. I thought about it the whole way home. I hope Trey is understanding.
