Ursa Wren walked towards Sabine. Tristen beside her. Both looked angry.
"You brought shame to the family Sabine" Ursa snapped.
"You're not my daughter."
Sabine was suddenly on the edge of a cliff.
Gar Saxon was in front of her with Sabine's mother and brother behind him.
"I warned you" Saxon told her.
He ignited the Darksaber and ran her through.
She fell down the cliff.
Into the darkness.
Sabine sat up with a gasp.
She put a hand over her chest as her heart pounded.
Tears were rolling down her face and cold sweat lined her forehead.
She glanced over at the table in her cabin to see the Darksaber.
She gave it a death glare before sighing and relaxing.
Tomorrow, she would be going home.
She didn't want to.
Kanan, Ezra and Chopper were going with her and she was grateful to have some support.
She tucked her knees to her chest and grabbed her blanket.
Tossing it over herself, she hugged her legs to her chest and rested her head on her knees.
Letting herself cry quietly.
The door suddenly hissed.
Sabine heard someone come in.
"Sabine?"
Sabine groaned to herself when she reconised Ezra's voice.
She didn't want him to see her like this.
The blanket was lifted from her head and she looked up at Ezra.
He was wearing his grey pyjamis, looking down at her with concern.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine" Sabine said looking away.
"Now get out."
"I'm not leaving until I know you're better. Sabine, you never cry. The only time I've seen you cry is when we were training with the Darksaber a few days ago. If you're crying, something's wrong."
'Kriff I hate it when he's right' Sabine thought.
"Fine. I had a nightmare. You happy?"
"Knowing you're suffering because of it, definitely not" Ezra replied.
Sabine looked at him.
His eyes held worry and gentleness.
"You don't understand what I'm going through Ezra. No one does" she sighed.
"Is this about your family?"
Sabine nodded.
Ezra hesitated before gently putting a hand on the Mandalorin's shoulder.
"You're right. I probably don't. But I do understand family. I'm sure they still love you" Ezra tried to cheer her up.
Sabine dried her eyes.
"Doubt it."
"Sabine."
The girl looked straight into his eyes.
She suddenly felt his arms wrap around her.
She froze.
He'd never done this before.
"I want you to know. No matter what happens, I will always stand by you. I don't care what anyone else thinks or says. I'm with you and won't let go."
His words made her tear up again.
She gripped his shirt and sobbed into Ezra's shoulder.
Ezra smiled softly and patted her back.
"Thank you Ezra" Sabine said drawing away.
"I needed to hear that."
Ezra smiled warmly at her.
"Quick question, what time is it?" Sabine asked.
"About two in the morning. Why?"
"Why are you up this early?" "I could feel your pain through the Force while I was sleeping. I came in here because I was worried about you" Ezra replied.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you" Sabine apologized.
"Well I'm glad I came. I would hate to think of you sitting alone in here in sorrow" Ezra told her.
"Well, I guess that goes for me too. Truth is, I'm glad you're here" Sabine smiled.
Ezra lay down with the Mandalorin in his arms.
"Sabine?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I...I love you too Ezra. I couldn't see that till now."
The two warriors fell asleep in each others arms.
No nightmares came to either of them.
