"Go Itachi! Get to the shelter! I'll be right behind you!" Hagami shouted amidst the smoke and rubble of the collapsed building.
"Hagami! Where are you!" The girl surprisingly shouted.
"The two of you get to the shelter! I have to clean things up here! I'll be right behind you!" She ordered in a more stern voice.
"Izumi, we have to leave now." She heard Itachi say.
"But we can't leave Hagami here!" Izumi protested but Hagami could hear Itachi pulling her along the path toward the shelters.
"She'll make it out of this. Hagami's strong." Itachi assured soothingly as he and Izumi's protests to stay with Hagami began to fade when she began walking away with Itachi.
A sigh of relief passed Hagami's lips knowing the two of them would be safe with each other. But her on the other hand, she'd have to find some way to seal the wound on her back where the rock had scraped her when the shockwave hit. They felt deep but the pain was dulled from the slow loss of conscious; the pain was dulled but enough to prevent her from moving much. Reaching it for the limited knowledge she had on Medical Ninjutsu was also useless because they reached from her left shoulder down to nearly her pelvic bone. Healing it all at once was out of the question.
"Hagami? Hagami!" The voice calling her was easily recognizable and she turned her head up to see another Uchiha standing on top of the roof. He leapt down next to her, sheathing his tantō and put a hand on her shoulder (the one left untouched by the rubble). "What happened?" He asked immediately and hesitated to try to lift her up.
Hagami winced and whimpered quietly when his arm brushed past the wound but nonetheless, let him help.
"Itachi was trying to rescue a girl...named Izumi and I made it just in time to get her out of the alleyway but I got caught in a shockwave." Hagami answered and Shisui let her stand on her own once they got to a solid wall. Going to the shelter would be excruciating but Hagami slowly stumbled along. Shisui stayed near her, just in case she fell. "Itachi and Izumi are probably worried why I'm not at the shelter yet." She chuckled weakly and her small body finally gave out on her.

The next day, Hagami was taken to the hospital with the help of Shisui and Fugaku. The night before, Shisui had stayed by her side until Fugaku found the two because Shisui was afraid of causing her more pain if he carried her. Now laying unconscious in a hospital bed, Hagami missed the funeral where all of the ninja who perished in the fight against the Nine Tails laid peacefully. Her wounds have improved the slightest bit at least and her whole midsection and left shoulder were covered in bandages to speed up her recovery. From what bits and pieces she heard in the background of nurses running back and forth, she concluded that both Minato and Kushina perished as well in the fight. Their legacy, however, was still alive. They had named their child Uzumaki Naruto.
Construction was quickly on its way though. Two days after the incident and the villagers were already hard at work trying to reconstruct Konohagakure. Mikoto, Itachi, Sasuke, and Fugaku all went to visit Hagami in the hospital too once they got news that she was conscious again. Mikoto was overjoyed to know that she wasn't in a coma or dead when she entered the room. She saw Hagami sitting up in the bed, waiting for them to arrive.
"We were worried about you!" Mikoto snapped in a motherly way when she walked over to Hagami. There was a scary look on her face but it eventually melted into a compassionate one as she gently hugged Hagami, who eventually returned it genuinely.
"Hagami, I'd like to know why you didn't head straight to the shelters like all children did. You're seven years old and it was too dangerous for you to make a move like that." Fugaku scolded but there was a soft hint in the back of his voice.
"I did it because I wanted to help." Hagami responded. "I didn't want to sit back. Of course I would've gotten in the way if I were to directly help against the Nine Tails but I wanted to help the villagers escape with the fewest casualties possible."
"I see." Fugaku murmured, mostly under his breath.
"I didn't see you at the shelter at all, Onēsan." Itachi announced. "I thought you said you're going to be there soon after we left." He added on.
"I said that I'd be there so you'd get there as fast as possible. I wanted you, Sasuke, and Izumi to be safe." Hagami looked Itachi in the eye cautiously. But there wasn't a shred of disappointment or disgrace in his eyes. Hagami relaxed slightly. "And look at me. I'm still alive too though I wouldn't mind getting out of here as soon as possible." She grumbled a bit at the end.
"Gomenasai (Sorry)! I'm late!" A voice shrieked from behind the closed door to Hagami's hospital room. The door was almost swung off its hinges as two Uchiha darted into the room. One was Izumi, who had shouted frantically, and the other was Shisui. "Hagami-san!" Izumi shoved her way between Itachi and Mikoto and Hagami flinched when she slapped her hands down on the bed. "Arigato (Thank you) for saving my life back there!" She dipped her head down in a respective - and very rushed - manner.
"E-Er...you're welcome." Hagami responded awkwardly and began to relax. "It was no big deal. I'm glad you're alive." She shot Itachi a smug look that went unnoticed by everyone but him.
"It was a big deal, you're injured." Izumi puffed out her cheeks and Hagami let out a chuckle. She would have forgotten the presence of Shisui too if it wasn't for him to clear his throat.
"Arigato." Hagami said immediately, and awkwardly. She dipped her head toward Shisui knowing he was the one who had helped her and stayed with her until she made it to the hospital.
"I'm glad you're alive." Shisui said, giving her a small smile. It was similar to the first one he gave her when they first met. Hagami couldn't help but return the favor.

A few days later and Hagami was released from the hospital though the bandages didn't come off quite yet. She'd still have to deal with the stiff fabrics holding her rigid. But at least she didn't have to deal with the hospital gowns or food, which were her biggest complaint, or at least evident when she ate Mikoto's food again. But right now, she wasn't at the house. She standing next to Itachi and looking over his shoulder to see the scroll that he was looking through. Of course she's seen the scroll before, but that didn't stop her from looking over it again.
"How do you feel?" Fugaku asked a general question to the two. Hagami jerked her head up to see her father walk out of the building where he had held a meeting. She regretted it instantly though when she felt the bandages shift under her clothing.
"Let's go and see it, Otousan." Itachi suggested and rolled the scroll back up. Even Hagami was confused for a moment. "The new training grounds." Itachi clarified seeing Fugaku and Hagami's confused faces. Itachi didn't waste any time running toward the training grounds either when he turned heel and ran down the stairs.
The training grounds weren't far away at all. There was a lake at the edge, or entrance, to the training grounds too as well as a dock. Itachi, Fugaku, and Hagami looked out and scanned the area. It was large to say the least. And it was directly attached to the Uchiha Clan grounds which meant that there was easy access to it.
"I like it here." Itachi stated quietly.
"Is that so?" Fugaku asked and Itachi began to run down the slope to the dock.
"Otousan, teach me a jutsu...Generational Uchiha Jutsu...through the generations." Itachi requested and Fugaku and Hagami followed close behind him.
"Alright." Fugaku agreed eagerly, having not been able to teach anyone in the family, partially because Hagami already knew the jutsu from Fuyu. When they got down to the water, Fugaku performed the Uchiha Clan's signature jutsu, the Fireball Jutsu after weaving the hand signs. When the fireball died down, he turned to Itachi first.
"This is a Fundamental Uchiha Ninjutsu: Katon, Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Style, Fireball Jutsu)." Fugaku explained as he weaved the hand signs. "Hagami already knows this jutsu as she had displayed for me once before. Alright, the hand seals are-" Fugaku stopped himself from showing the hand signs as Itachi weaved them flawlessly. In an instant, he caught onto how to use the jutsu with ease and created an fireball equal in size, though it could use work on endurance. Hagami watched from behind the two, amazed that Itachi caught on after just one demonstration. Fuyu had taught her the jutsu when she was four, and she finally mastered it a year later after many attempts.
"I did it!" Itachi said excitedly - or at least his form of excited. Fugaku laughed to himself and turned to Itachi with a prideful smile on his face.
"What a surprise." Fugaku said between laughs. "That's my boy."
