"Nobody" I paid attention to Kaiya as I tried to get her together.
She was spending this weekend with me and now I knew what exactly I had to do with her as far as feeding her.
"Whose nobody?" Mia spoke up again.
"Nobody" I said nonchalantly.
"Don't play stupid Dave, who is Jay ? A nigga? You flexing that way now?"
I swung my head so fast in her direction, she took a step back away from me.
"Don't ever play yourself" I grilled her.
"Whose Jay? Cause you sitting here telling my daughter that some random was right"
"First off, she not a random she my girl" I said looking down at Mia.
"Your girl?" She scoffed.
"Yes, my girl"
"I see" she nodded her head.
"She wants to meet you since Kaiya be around her sometimes"
"Wants to meet me now? After you done had my kid around her already"
"OUR kid" I corrected her.
"OUR kid around her, and now she wants to meet me"
"She been wanted to meet you, I just been holding it off"
"And whys that ? Afraid to tell her the truth?"
"And what's that?" I looked at her as I picked up Kaiya from the seat with her diaper bag.
"That you was two timing both of us"
"I came clean with that already" I shook my head.
"And I wasn't two timing any one"
"Right, you moved this hoe in after you kicked us out"
"I didn't kick you out, I put you in your own spot and I pay for that shit"
"The least you could do, it is where your daughter stays" she rolled her eyes.
"Look I don't want to argue or fight with you. I have a girlfriend and I would like for you two to meet. No drama, no bullshit, she felt it was necessary since Kaiya be around her sometimes. She wants to do this out of respect for you. So cut the shit" I stopped walking and faced her.
"Okay ..." she looked at me.
"Now, can you say bye to your daughter so we can get going?"
She nodded her head and I handed Kaiya to her. She hugged and kissed her a couple times. They had they're own little language, I loved watching Mia and Kaiya together. That was a bond I would never break apart.
"I love you baby" she tickled Kaiya and handed her back to me.
"I should ask you"
"What?"
"Should we go shopping together for her new formula? I wouldn't really know how to make that decision" I was being honest.
"If you're free" I asked.
"Yeah I took off to take care of this situation. So we could go do that" she nodded her head.
"Cool" I adjusted Kaiya in my arms.
"I'll follow you" Mia said as we entered the parking lot.
Jay
"Glad to see your neck is clearing up"
Shanice poked fun at me, we sat in a meeting for clinical. They had all of us come in on a Friday which I really didn't have to do much, I'd be out of here before I know it.
"You were looking crazy the other day" she laughed.
"Stop, I know. He think he a vampire" I shook my head.
"Y'all too much, but boy do he got a temper. Poor Rick didn't know what to do with himself"
"Girl" I palmed my face.
"If he only knew that Rick was after you and not me"
"I know that's what makes it funnier"
"I saw Bully? That's his name? Anyway he pushed all the way up on Lisa"
"Yeah so I was told" I shook my head.
"Lisa was messing with his fine ass in High School ? GIRL!? She got the juice" Shanice joked.
"She was hella crazy, I had to hold that secret to the grave"
"Well now it don't matter"
"Yeah it don't. I wonder if she reconsidering messing with him again"
"I'm sure she is, she left a little tipsy but not crazy drunk so I know she knew what was up"
"I still can't believe she did that though?!"
"You'll understand one day when you in love and the dick is good"
"Ya really be scaring me" I laughed.
"Girl, when you gonna give thunder cat some kitty ?"
I shook my head laughing, I cannot believe King had everyone referring to him as Thunder Cat.
"I don't know" I shrugged my shoulders.
"You should plan it, something nice" Shanice got all excited.
"Plan it? Me? I can barely plan for tomorrow"
"I can help you don't worry, just say when and we get it popping" Shanice rubbed her hands together.

"Hey" I kissed Dave as I got into his car, he came to pick me up with Kaiya.
"Hey babygirl" I tickled her, she laughed at me.
"How was your day?"I looked over at Dave.
"It was good, a little stressful"
"Why? How was her doctor's visit?"
"She's okay I guess, she's anemic"
"Oh no, poor baby" I looked back at Kaiya, she played with her doll.
"Yeah man, me and Mia just got her new formula and I was hoping you could help me with what to feed her at home" he smiled at me.
"Of course" I smiled.
"So I kind of slipped up and said your name around Mia, and now she sort of kind of knows I have girlfriend" Dave said as he looked straight ahead.
"Well gee thanks, I was also non-existent" I rolled my eyes.
"Look we don't talk like that unless it's about Kai"
"Well I should let you know that me and Lisa saw her the other day. Lisa thought it was cute to introduce me. I mean she don't know who I am, she just knows I'm Lisa's little cousin"
"Oh so you was holding info from me?" he eyed me and than turned to the road.
"I just remembered cause you brought her up" I shook my head.
"Heard ju"
"So when you plan on bringing us together ?"
"I don't know, now I have to really think this through"
"Oh lord, no you don't just tell me where and when I'm there"
"I'm more concerned with how she's going to take it now that she know's you Lisa's little cousin" he ran a hand down his face.
"Who cares?"
"No one .."
"Have you spoken to Bully?" I asked, wanting to see if he knew the tea.
"Yes, Lisa is a savage" he laughed.
I playfully hit his arm.
"Leave Lisa alone" I shook my head.
"She got pipe and dipped in the night on my nigga" he laughed.
"What did he tell you?" I inquired.
"He said that they were talking for a bit at the bar, he mentioned she could get it whenever and she said she'll think about it or whatever ... He said after we left, he shot his shot and it was go" Dave shrugged his shoulders.
"Mhmm ..."
"What?"
"What did he say after the morning of?"
"What did Lisa say?" he inquired.
"I asked first" I laughed.
"Bully a weird nigga, but I don't know the way he was talking about her got me wondering if I'm going to feel the same way when I hit the skins" he placed his right hand on my left thigh and gave it a squeeze.
"Stop it" I smacked his hand, shaking my hand.
"I'm saying love, they both weird as fuck so I'm sure their sexual levels are retarded" he laughed.
"And ours isn't?" I asked, curious.
"Bruhhhhh, I sank my teeth into you, I think that says a lot. Matter fact let me see your neck" he laughed.
"It's clearing up" I showed him where he pierced through my skin.
"I'm really sorry about that" he pouted a little.
"I know Dave, you just going to have to control yourself"
"Well then just start being ugly" he laughed.
Lisa
"Let's make a couple things clear" I stood in Bully's living room, he asked me to come over and I knew it was either to talk or to get to the nitty gritty of things.
"Talk to me"
Bully sat on his couch looking at me, eyeing my entire being at the moment. I couldn't even focus because of the damn painting.
"Why?!" I shook my head.
"Why what?" he looked confused.
"Why do you have that shit hanging in your living room?" I asked annoyed.
"This bomb ass artsy chick I once knew drew it for me and she made it with love so I kept it and put it on display. Because if she ever made it big I knew I had one of her first pieces in the hood in Harlem" he smiled.
I rolled my eyes, he was always doing the damn most.
"Why are you so damn extra?!" I yelled at him.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, why you yelling girl? What ? I can't keep a painting that was gifted to me !?" he spat back.
"Why would you? You sitting here acting like I meant so much but I didn't mean shit, this painting didn't mean shit" I went over to grab it but Bully stood up in front of me in time.
"You trashed my shit once before and you had a valid reason but I'm not about to have you do that shit again. Have a seat" he looked at me.
"I'm not gonna say it again Lisa"
I stood back and took my original spot by where the TV stand was.
"You don't own me Bully"
"Lisa what is on your fucking biscuit !?"
"Why Bully !? Why you did me like that !?" I yelled again, I was frustrated.
I knew fucking with him would surface old feelings and ones I couldn't even explain. I hated the fact that no matter the time between us, we were in sync. I hated that even though I hated him we had chemistry.
"I don't know Lisa I was dumb! I was a young
nigga doing dumb shit"
"Why!? You had a whole kid on me, spent a whole year and I didn't know shit !? Who does that !!"
"You had me walking around Harlem like a fucking idiot! WHY!?" I picked up the tv remote and threw it at him but he blocked it.
"Yo! Chill out !"
"Lord knows I gave it my all" I shook my head.
"And I tried to believe that we could make it but I was young and naive"
I felt my eyes begin to water. I quickly wiped them away and shook my head. I zipped up my jacket and headed straight for the door and left once again. Ignoring his calls for me to stay and talk to him.
