Sometime in the far future

Jennifer walked with her aunt, still holding her hand. "Where are we?" she asked as they are in cold crater, with high walls.

Clearly there was something here, but what?

"This Jennifer, is Boom Town." Her aunt stated.

"This is Boom Town?" she asked disbelieving. "The place uncle Axel used to go to?"

"Yep." Her aunt said, popping the 'p'.

"But why is it so empty?" she asked as the silent cold wind continued to blow.

"Because I was here, I came here a long time ago." Her aunt said. "I still own this place."

"Why are you showing me this?" she asked her aunt, looking up at her.

"I honestly don't know." She admitted. "But I sure of one thing, it isn't guilt."

----------

On [Battlefield] there is only about 20 people left, hiding away with Magnus and Axel inside a crater as the rest of them are trap inside the respawn towers.

But when the monster found then, readied its weapons, prepared to fight, half of them ran away as Magnus suddenly shot more arrows into its chest. A blue mist started to ooze out as if it was pressurized, and the hybrid... stopped? Eyes wide.

It collapsed onto its knees and started to scream, arcing its back as it roared towards the sky as it become louder and louder within heartbeats.

It started to claw its own face off with one hand as the other one started to melt off.

Its pale eyes were suddenly full of life, full of pain, all of them bloodshot. They all started to bleed a crimson waterfall, oozing onto the ground.

Its mouth became wider and wider as it arced its back even more, screaming even louder as its own ribs turned inside out.

The air started to vibrate because of its screams, shattering the ground as large jagged cracks originated from the hybrid, spreading as everyone nearby was forcibly launched back from the dense air pressure from the screaming; some of them even died.

The ones who survived gripped their bleeding ears as they tried to avoid the chunks of the ground getting uprooted wherever the cracks spread while avoiding getting struck from the lighting emanating from the hybrid.

Why is this happening? I could feel a raw power emanating from the monster, even though I'm high in the air in an obsidian box, as its screaming became louder and louder.

From what I studied about Mana, it's simply willed into a shape or form. But the more complicated the form, the more difficult it will be to do, like creating a storm cloud, or an earthquake.

So I'll just do something simple. I then channeled Mana to my eyes, feeling my sight enhance until...

Ping!

Do to special action, [Mana Vision] has been created!

Mana Vision (Passive) level 1

This skill allows you to see the flow of Mana in all that have it. Range of this skill is determined by skill level. More accurate visuals of Mana will increase with skill level.

I then saw the world around me alternate, just a bit. I saw a bluish hue around everything that contained Mana: from the people, to their magical weapons, to Magnus's runes.

The portal rune, even the control orb. I saw my minions practically sweat Mana as they are looking down on the chaos below.

Then there was the hybrid. Inside its damaged body I saw the 6 Mana Cores colliding with each other, and every time they do they're producing, as closely as I can describe it, a flood of Mana.

It is too much Mana as it was almost blinding to look at. It is like directly looking at the sun, except there are six of them.

I then realized what's happening. Despite the hybrid's powerful body, it has more Mana than it needs. Way more. Simply too much.

He cannot burn off the excess amounts of Mana he's producing. His damaged body is trying to use that to repair itself by using the large amounts of internal Mana as it is trying to contain it.

But it won't happen, its body it too damaged, and can't control it. I don't think anyone can when they're through that much pain. Plus, it doesn't help that the massive amounts of Mana is practically doubling by the minute.

So that's why the hybrid was compressing its body, it was trying to prevent the Mana from rushing out of its severe wounds, preventing from tearing itself apart.

It was like a time I managed to capture a bandit that tried to capture me. I cut him open while he was alive, he was under anesthetics because I was in a good mood that night.

I then made a small, tiny even, cut on one of arteries of his heart. Blood practically sprayed out, since so much was rushing out it widen the cut, causing even more blood to rush out.

With more blood coming out, it widened the cut, and since it widen the cut, even more blood was rushing out. Rinse and repeat.

The bandit died, bleeding out peacefully in seconds, but instead of disposing his corpse, I did something that inspired me for the project I'm doing.

But that's a story for another time.

It's like what's happening right now, but instead of blood rushing out it is Mana.

The hybrid is still trying to contain it, but in reality it is compressing all of its Mana into a small space within itself, forcing the Mana Cores to collide with each other even more, and generating more Mana while the hybrid tries to contain it.

So again, rinse and repeat.

In smaller, easier to understand, words: it's unknowingly turning itself into a massive bomb... something that I will not stop.

Oh well. The hybrid was useful while it lasted. Clearly I lacked the knowledge to foresee this outcome. But now I know better, and now I can plan ahead, prepare, and learn as I experiment.

But now that I know how to generate more Mana, things will be easier in the future to complete the project.

I mentally commanded Steam, along with Blink and his many eyes, to join me inside my obsidian box. I even unstrapped Box from the harness on my back to set him down besides me, sitting on him as my minions watched through the portal.

But it was then I saw the most peculiar thing; Magnus was killing his own citizens, shooting them with his custom crossbow.

That's a smart move. He knows they'll respawn, but they will be inside the obsidian towers as they are protected and safe from the explosion.

He then pulled out arrows that are covered in runes, he shot three of them at each obsidian tower; they all hit the towers in a triangle formation.

It was then the runes on the arrows started to glow green as green shield covered every individual tower. So he even added a force field for extra protection, I guess he does have the mental capacity for concern after all.

Even Axel joined in, helping the 'hero' kill the citizens of Boom Town. I couldn't hear them over the hybrid's screams, but it looked like Magnus and Axel are talking after they killed the last person. Magnus ran out of arrows for his crossbow.

They both seemed sad, but then Magnus killed Axel with a crude weapon, the weapon itself breaking, sending Axel to one of the respawn towers.

So Magnus is left behind, sacrificing himself to save the citizens of his kingdom, as he will get caught in the explosion. How ironic that the false hero will do a heroic deed.

I love irony.

I could have ripped out those Mana Cores inside the hybrid, saving it, and keeping that monster as an addition to my arsenal.

But if I want to get what I came here for then the hybrid needs to die. Everything demands sacrifice, and that sacrifice is the hybrid.

It is replaceable after all. They all are. But I'm not going to replace the chaos blades, those were hard to make.

So I opened that [Armed] screen again and took back the weapons, and put them back inside my Inventory.

It was then bright beams of light emitted from all of the eyes and the mouth of the hybrid, letting out one last scream as blinding blue-white light engulfed its body.

And continued to expand.

KA-BOOM!

The walls barely contain the explosion as the blast is also expanding upwards, but I had to move my obsidian box so I won't get caught in the blast.

Besides that, all I could see through the portal is the blinding white-bluish pillar of energy that seemed to reach the heavens, the clouds seemed to circle around it.

The surrounding area of Boom Town was engulfed in blinding white light. The sign at the entrance of Boom Town is destroyed from the force of the explosion.

But if I listen closely to the explosion, I hear the screaming of the hybrid. If I look even closer, I can see the faint, warped body of the hybrid as it writhes in pain.

After a few minutes, the explosion died down. What was left of Boom Town is... well, something.

The first thing you would see is the massive crater where the kingdom was deep, smooth, and smoking. There are pockets of lava flowing down the wall into the crater because the stone was heated up to an unimaginable temperature.

The obsidian towers survived, along with everyone in it, the green force field blinked out of existence as the arrows crumbled away.

"Finally." I said and had the obsidian box unfold as I turned it into a flat platform. I lowered us down so we are just above the crater.

I saw the remains of the hybrid; nothing more than a hollow empty shell as the gentle breeze caused its body to disintegrate away, blown away with the wind.

I didn't care, it served its purpose. "Find him." I ordered Blink as he released his tiny, micro-sized eyes, even using the ones on his 8 hands.

He then pointed in a direction and I saw him, Magnus. I knew the explosion wouldn't kill him since he had a bunch of runes on his advanced armor to protect him, but they didn't last long.

He's injured, on his back, on a large area of stone that wasn't affected by the explosion, gasping for air as the hot smoke filled his lungs.

With only 5 HP left...

I had Steam drop me off on the cool stone. "I'm impressed once again Magnus, your runes even managed to prevent the explosion from heating up the large area you're on."

He then struggled to face me, trying to get up, but only to collapse on his back; breathing heavily. Yet he still has the strength to glare at me. "Y-You...!" he growled dryly.

"Yes Magnus, me." I said bluntly. "Who else would it be?" I asked sarcastically.

But then he did something I didn't expect, he cried. "Why...?" he sobbed, still on his back in pain. "Why did you do this? To me? To Boom Town? To its people? Why?!" he cried as tears are flowing down his face.

"That's the problem with me Magnus." I said cryptically. "I have too many reasons for what I did; half of them you wouldn't even understand, and the other half you wished you didn't hear."

I then ripped out his Mana Core as he started hyperventilating from the sheer pain. I held it up in my hand, the Mana Core that belonged to Magnus the rouge.

I wonder what powers I'll get from this? But I'll find out later, I still have to get what I came here for. I put it away in my Inventory and pulled out a familiar diamond longsword.

He gasped. "G-Gabriel's sword?!" he croaked. "You really do have it!"

"With your blood to soon be on it." I said coldly as I raised the blade and stabbed it through his eye, killing him as his body tensed one last time before he disappeared, his inventory spilling out.

I flicked the blood off the blade as I picked up his advanced rune armor, his custom crossbow, and a teleporting rune on a stone slab that leads to a hidden area in Boom Town.

How sneaky of him. I'll have to investigate it later. So I stashed all of the items in my Inventory.

Ping!

For defeating a high level opponent, you are now level 450!

Ping!

For defeating the former leader of Boom Town, and due to kingdom law, you are now the official ruler of Boom Town!

Ping!

For conquering your first kingdom, empire related skills have been unlocked to purchase!

Ping!

For conquering your first kingdom, Notch has rewarded you with 50,000 Divine Points, the skill [Summon Valkyrie Merchant], and the tattoo: Holy Favoritism!

Ping!

For destroying a kingdom by coldly sacrificing your minion, Herobrine has given you 50,000 Divine Points, the skill [Summon Demon Merchant] and the tattoo: Demonic Favoritism!

As soon as I dismissed the screen, my body began to glow. My black cloak shimmered as a new symbol appeared on it: a block TNT, engulfed in crimson flames.

On my left arm are two, small circular tattoos: one of them is black that has a jagged design, while the other tattoo is white with smooth curves and swirls, and both of them representing Herobrine and Notch respectively.

I finally got what I came here for. It wasn't Magnus itself. It was ownership of his kingdom. Now I'm in charge, and I can make all the rules.

I then moved the platform back to the entrance of Boom Town, wedging it in place. I then had Blink rapidly teleport around Boom Town, tearing down the obsidian towers as he used it to build me a large throne in the entrance of Boom Town.

I used [Geo-Kinesis] to shape the obsidian in the throne in the way I want it to be: jagged and disturbing.

And it only took me a few minutes. I didn't see anyone on [Battlefield], even though blink torn apart the respawn towers; they must be too scared to come out.

But then I had Blink, with help from my [Geo-Kinesis], use the obsidian of the respawn towers to build a large, center platform in the middle of the crater, above the now flooding lava.

And so I sat on my large throne with Steam above me, Blink on my side as his eyes are floating around, and then there's Box who I'm using as a foot rest.

I used [Geo-Kinesis] to uproot the ground, making paths that lead toward the center platform where all the citizens gathered started to gather.

Every single one of them has three emotions right now: shock, fear, and dread. After all, if I'm capable of this, what's stopping me from destroying the respawn runes and permanently killing them?

Honestly, if I didn't want to reverse engineer the runes, they would already be dead. But if I since I'm working on my project, I would keep them alive.

Even if they didn't want me to. But don't worry, I'll let them when their time comes.

"Jess..." gasped Axel as he's observing the destruction. "What did you do?!" Axel shouted, pushing towards the front of the crowd, angry and shock all over his face.

I didn't say anything, everyone else is looking at me, waiting nervously for an answer, but too scared to say anything.

I am level 450 after all, the strongest person in Boom Town. Magnus is level 700, but I ripped out his Mana Core, and took his weapons and armor. So he's just as threatening as a zombie that spent too much time burning in the sunlight: easy and vulnerable.

I got up from my throne and calmly walked towards the crowd of terrified grifers, only Magnus and Axel stood their ground.

Speaking of Magnus, I didn't expect him to wear such... civilized clothing underneath his armor. Weird.

"Isn't it obvious Axel?" I asked out loud for everyone to hear. "Or did Magnus not tell you, all of you," I gestured to all the griefers. "of what happened?"

They are talking among themselves, whispering, curious, and anxious. "So he didn't." I stated as a fact, rather than a question.

"I defeated Magnus, I'm the one who killed him, and to his own, stupid, kingdom's law, I am now the ruler of Boom Town!" I shouted, much to the horror of everyone else, if their gasping mouths are anything to go by.

Why wouldn't they? Who would want me in charge of a kingdom, and most importantly, the lives of its citizens? "Since I'm in charge, I get to make all the rules." I addressed, making sure everyone heard me as I went back to sit on my throne.

"As my first order of the ruler of Boomtown," I say out loud, for everyone to hear. "I hereby banish Magnus from Boom Town!" I declare as they let out gasps, and talking feverishly among themselves.

A/N: To be continued! Man it's really getting exciting now isn't it?!
