Toby's POV
- Hello we have an appointment for Spencer Hastings- Cavanaugh. A check up
- Sure, follow me.
We follow her to what look like a normal doctor room. You know, simple. Not that hospitaly.
- Mrs Grey will come in a few minutes with your file.
- Thank you. I respond
Spencer and I sit quietly and yet for the Dr to arrive. She's shaking.
" Everything is going to be okay Spencer. It's a normal procedure"
"I know but, this place freaks me out. Every noise i hear, every step you make i fell in danger. I keep thinking about the last time we were here"
"Not gonna lie, I'm terrified too. But we're together, and the place is very safe now. People are checking our bags and everything now. I promise you it's gonna be okay, trust me"
She puts her head on my shoulder
"I do, i really do"
She turns it and kisses me until the doctor interrupts us
- Good afternoon I'm doctor Gr-

- No, it's fine. *We smile*. I'm To-
- Toby Cavanaugh and Spencer Hastings
I remember you guys! Glad you made it you're cute
I look at Spencer kind of confused and she introduce me
- Toby this is Lexie Grey, she was the intern on your case when you were hum here.
- That's why ! Well, glad to meet you and thank you
- That's my job! Anyway, what brings you here again?
We don't answer. It's hard to say it out loud, hard to really accept what happened.
She looks at us and understand that there is a problem, she opens our file and realizes
- Oh my... You guys i am so... Wow.
Spencer i'm gonna need you to undress and i'm gonna run a few exam. Toby you can hum, stay.
Spencer gets up and slowly takes her pants and shirt off.
Her body is covered in red marks and a few bruises.
She feels ashamed so i just tell her
" You're beautiful. And you're even more beautiful now. We can see that you're brave just by looking at you baby girl"
A tear runs down her cheek
- Thank you.
Dr Grey inspects her and write down stuff in the file.
Spencer tries not to shake but it's hard for her. She tries really hard not to freak out
At the end of the exam, Lexie stated that Spence should stay here a few days, just so she can feel safer than at home. But it wasn't obligatory
- What do you think? I ask her
- I, I can't stay in here any longer. Neither Gracie nor you.
- Then we'll come back home, just the three of us
- You can go home but we're gonna have to send doctors once a week to check on you, the Police said you were pretty bummed and chocked, this could lead to PTSD and we need to see how it goes. Are you okay with this Spencer?
- I could live with one doc a week i guess, as long as i'm not alone.
We sign up a few things and we meet with the others.
- So ? Hanna asks
- They're going to see how it goes. But i think you should go too, to check on the baby and stuff.
- I guess so... But i don't know
- Hanna... Please. I say
- Toby's right, let's go please. Caleb continues
The meeting is kind of awkward. They don't know what to say. Grace doesn't know what happened exactly but she sees that everyone is sad and chocked.
- Mommy ? Are you okay ?
Did she call her mommy ? That's so- Wow. I don't have the words.
Everyone noticed this and just wait for Spence to react
Spencer has tears in her eyes, she's filled up with all kind of emotions.
She hugs Grace tight and tell her
" More than fine honey. I'm great"
" I don't like when you cry. Please don't cry "
" I'm not crying, i just have something in my eyes"
" Can we go home now ? "
" Sure. Toby, we'll wait for you in the car okay ? "Coming" i say as i watch them go hand in hand
- So, did you find anything about that bastard?
I asks angrily
- Well, the police let us see him. He's not A.D Toby...
- What?! But. Why would he do all this ?
What about Marco?
- Apparently, Marco wasn't really in the thing. Wren threatened him to call you and stuff.
Wren is not A.D but he works for him/her.
A- told him that he and Spencer will finally be together if he did everything he/she asked. That's why you got trapped in the house, Spence was his "reward".
Emily tells me sadly
- Wow... But, did he tell you who it was ?
- No, told us he doesn't know.
- He lied Emily.
- I don't think so. Aria continues
Emily was very... persuasive with her questions. He wouldn't lie at this point
- If you say so... Well, we're back to where we started. I don't know what we can do...
- Actually, i may have an idea.
Ezra says
Girls, before you found out about Charlotte, you got lots of hints in the doll house haven't you?
- About Charle Dilaurentis Yes. Where are you going with this ? Aria asks
- Toby, what did Marco exactly told you when he called you this morning ?
- Hum. He told me he had found some stuff about A- and that it was not pretty. I had to meet him at the building.
He looks at me with a "don't you see it ?" Look
- Wait. Ali interrupts my thinking
Do you think that we may find A's identity in the building ?
- We'll never know if we don't take a look.
- Guys, I can't go back there, neither Spencer nor Hanna. It's too soon.
- No, you should rest. But, tell Caleb and Hanna we'll be back ok? We have some searching to do
The four of them say in sync.
- You call me the moment something is up okay? I call the cops if you want.
- We'll tell you, do you happen to have some flashlights? The night will fall any minute now.
- Caleb has some, ask him when they come back ok? Gotta go.

Aria, Emily, Ezra and Alison's PoV
- Ok, let's go in. And we're not going to act like those stupid gals in horror movies. We don't separate okay? We search through every rooms and apartment together.
Ali says in a directive tone
- Sounds like a plan. Let's go then.
We should start by the room where it happened.
Aria proposes
I mean, i noticed a desk when the police got in, maybe there are some documents in it.
They go up to the first floor and go through this big room.
- Reviews, reviews and reviews. Em said while closing one of his drawer
- I didn't know A or Wren was interested in the news. Did you look inside ? Maybe there's a note or something
- Not those kind of reviews Aria ....
- Geez, it's like Wilden's apartment all over again
- How many places did you go through? Ezra asked laughing

Oh wait. This drawer is stuck.
- Let me see. Ali says.
Ok Em' move please i don't want to hit you

*she kicks the drawer with one of her heel. It breaks but the drawer opens*
- That was...

- A owes me a pair of shoes now. Ali laughs while taking the other one off
- What's in there anyway ? I don't see anything. Emily adds
Oh wait, there's a key
- What does it open ? Aria asks
- I don't know Ar', guess we're gonna have to try every door we can until it works
- We're in a building! It's gonna take hours
- I was joking Aria. We should call a locksmith or something
- Don't bother. Ezra interrupts
I know those kind of keys. I had one when i was still a professor. It's an universal key
- We can open everything ? You're sure?
- 90% sure. Let's go and find out.

They went through the whole building, room by room. But nothing. Not a note, a notebook, a driver. Nothing.
They found the room where Toby was, with the video. They understood that Spencer wasn't the only one who suffered -even though she has gone through the most obviously-.
At the end of the last room, Aria was sick of this
"That's it, it has been four hours and all we saw are a few geeks posters. Marco's call was just to get them here!"
" No! No! Out friends didn't suffer for nothing!" Emily yells through the empty room.
" You! I know you're watching!" She keeps going
" Posters ? Really? We wasted our nights just for posters ? Here's what i'm gonna do to your precious!" She start to rip them off until
" Wait" she calms down
" Guys, look at this"
Here, behind this image was standing a big grey box, with a lock
" Ezra, gimme the key please ? "
She opens the box and find a computer, looks like an old computer
" Omg it looks like the-" Emily starts to say but stops
"Nothing"
- Guys, do you realize that we may have found every single thing that A- has on us ? Aria yells in excitement
- Actually honey, we have nothing. It's locked.
- Let's go to Caleb and Hanna's. He'll know what to do. Em' says in a weird voice.
- Maybe we should, wait a bit. They have had a rough day. Let them rest for a week or two. We'll keep the computer and go back to out lives for a few days. If we receive another A- text before this, we'll tell them deal ?
For now let's just say we haven't gone through the place yet okay ? Ali says
- She's right. After the dollhouse, i just wanted to live normally for a while
They all agree to this and go back to their cars
- Wait, did we just broke into a crime scene ?
- Like you've never done it before. Ezra adds

Aria and Ezra kept the PC to their place, under their bed and checked every night if he was still here.

Toby's POV
It has been 10 days since the... you know.
Apparently, the police didn't let the guys check the building, they will be able to in like a few days. That's what Emily told me but i feel she's hiding something for some reason. But i have other things to take care of, Spencer isn't getting any better. The day she's okay. Her relationship with Grace is really cute. They really look alike that's so weird and amazing at the same time.
But at night, she's having nightmares. She talks
"Let go. Let go of me please! " and screams. Every time i wake her up and she starts to cry. I wish it would have been me instead of her.. that came out wrong but you know what I mean.
Everything i do, i'm afraid i'm going to hurt her. Every-night when i fall asleep, i have to habit to spoon her, but now, she feels threatened by this and pushes me back while panicking.
Last night, she cried for hours in my arms. I try to stay strong but i don't think i'll be able to for long. She's my wife but Wren took a part of her. Every time I touch her, i know i hurt her in some way.
I know it's awful for me to say this and it sounds selfish, but it's normal for me to want to hug my wife without her having a break down.
I can't keep going like this, if i cry, i'm going to hurt her even more and i can't... i can't do this.
Look at her, happy with her daughter. I wish i could make her that happy too.
Now, i just feel like someone she's afraid off. I get it, it's normal. But she needs to understand that Wren is gone and is never coming back. I'm her safe place to land, she needs to remember this.
