Sometime in the far future

"How did you get so strong auntie?" Jennifer asked her aunt.

Her aunt shrugged. "I had a goal, that turned into a dream, and fueled it with ambition." She said as a cold breeze blew pass them.

"But what if I don't have enough ambition?" Jennifer asked.

"Then it is simply a matter of trial and error." Her aunt replied. "And believe me, you learn a lot from error."

----------

I looked down and used [Observe] on my newest puppet.

[Hybrid]

Level 689

Combining the strength, fire immunity, and fire affinity of an undead colossus, with the supernatural physiology, necromancy, and high Mana affinity of a lich tyrant, this is an unholy abomination that's in a physical form.

With 6 additional Mana Cores infused with its body, it has enhanced magic and fighting prowess as it gained the ability to do conjuration magic.

It is huge. It is a monster that has the pale, silent, screaming souls as skin. Its clawed hands are serrated and pale like its multiple eyes across its body, but the bigger ones are on its head.

Three on the right side of the head, three on the left, one big diagonal eye on the front, and a giant vertical mouth on its chest.

I activated the sub-skills [Armored] and [Armed]. Two blue screens appeared in front of me, both of them showing an image of the hybrid, its stats, and equipment.

Except the [Armored] screen is used for armor as the [Armed] screen is used for weapons.

So I took off my diamond armor and put it into the [Armored] screen, instantly a diamond chestplate, leggings, and boots appeared over its body, fitting its massive size.

I then pulled out a special item, a reward for my efforts when I killed the lich a few months ago.

[Omni-Staff]

The weapon of the lich. This staff greatly enhances all necromancer abilities as it can shoot projectiles that pierce armor at the cost of 100 Mana.

The Omni-Staff is two blocks long, somewhat thick, made out of bones with mystic shapes carved into it, and tipped with an enderpearl.

I used it once before and it is so worth the effort. Seeing multiple zombies and skeletons spawn all at once at a reduced cost, equipped with full armor and enchanted weapons... it was so exhilarating as I watched them wipe out a small village overnight.

It also makes a good bludgeoning weapon. I used it to beat a woman to death when she tried to stab me. Sure I wiped out her village, but she's the one who organized the hunting party to try to capture me.

I put this in the [Armed] screen, equipping it to my hybrid. The Omni-Staff appeared in its right hand, big enough to smash a house into splinters.

"Go, hybrid." I ordered and a second later it roared at the citizens, and ruler, of Boom Town. Charging at them as its steps shake the ground.

I used [Leap] to jump on top of the obsidian I ripped out of Magnus's tower, but I also pulled out the portal rune and the control orb out as well.

I changed the shape of all of the obsidian into a box as I made it carry me away from Boom Town, high above the air as I watched the carnage below through the portal.

The hybrid used the Omni-Staff, channeling its power to summon a swarm of baby zombies, all of them riding undead chickens, all of them armed, and all of them killing everyone in sight.

"Everyone, run, get to higher ground, these things can't climb!" Magnus ordered as the panicked griefers ran, jump, and flew on top of higher buildings. But some were just too slow to outrun the baby zombies.

It was then the baby zombies piled on top of each other onto the buildings where some people are, aggressively running across the roofs as the citizens tried to fend them off.

Some succeeded while others died, screaming as they did.

But the ones who survived were sent flying as the buildings were stomped, kicked, and smashed by the hybrid, going so far to use the Omni-Staff to smash any building taller than 4 blocks as everyone one else ran away.

Some still tried to escape, running towards the exit of Boom Town, but the hybrid teleported at the exit, blocking it.

It is facing the crowd of frightened grifers as it ripped off its diamond chestplate, opened its mouth on its chest, and unleashed a wave of white fire, incinerating everyone in its path.

I used the control orb to look around a bit, and saw about a dozen conjurers hiding far away from the hybrid, standing in a circle as they used their magic. What are they doing?

I turned back to the hybrid as I zoomed out to see a black, foggy orb; they're summoning something, something big. A giant block made out of gravel and sand to be exact.

My hybrid's eyes widen before it rolled forward, dodging the impact as the large pile of sand and gravel blocked the exit.

"We missed!" a conjurer said.

"Damn it, we blocked the exit!" another shouted, panicked.

"Now we're trapped and so screwed!" a female conjurer screamed as they all split off, just in time for the hybrid's giant diamond chestplate to land on top of the conjurers who are too scared to move, creating another crater as everything nearby was blasted away.

The hybrid raised its left hand, glowing with conjuration magic as it created a large portal in front of it and a few dozen smaller ones as well, high above the kingdom.

It then opened its mouth, rapidly blasting a steady stream of white fireballs into the large portal in front of it, and exiting the smaller ones above the kingdom; unleashing a rain of fire down on the kingdom of Boom Town.

I saw people running around, dodging the fire, the explosions, and the baby zombies as a few dozen of them were killed. I had my ghast and mutant enderman move on top of the wall of Boom Town, letting them safely relax as they watched the carnage.

I then saw hundreds of blue squares appear on the hybrid's body before they were replaced with TNT, detonating as it blasted its left arm, and some of its body, to bits.

What the hell was that?! Conjurers? No, I didn't see any the signature black foggy orb. Red Mage? Maybe, those blue squares could be a targeting thing to launch the TNT.

But I didn't see the TNT land on top of the hybrid, it just appeared! Could it be a wizard? Most likely, they always have a large variety of spells.

My hybrid was on the ground, on its stomach; missing its lower half of its body, part of its upper body, clutching the Omni-Staff in its right hand as it was missing chunks of decayed flesh.

The left arm was gone and you could even see its exposed spine and ribs because some of its flesh was gone on its back.

More blue blocks appeared all across its back before they were replaced with TNT. I then saw the many eyes of the hybrid glare in a direction, at something I cannot see.

Before the TNT detonated, the hybrid activated its necromancer abilities, enhanced by the Omi-Staff, as it used small parts of its regenerating decaying flesh to wrap around the explosives.

The decayed flesh that is wrapped around every individual ignited TNT started to form legs under it before running off at a speed greater than an ocelot. I used the control orb to follow the sight of them running... to Magnus?

I saw his hands glow a faint blue as more blue blocks appeared in front of him before being replaced with TNT. So he's the one who did that, no wonder my hybrid is so pissed.

It was then he detonated the explosives, launching himself away from the TNT with decayed legs, killing most of them, but the remaining dozen still ran after him as some splintered off to detonate themselves to kill even more grifers.

I even saw one chasing after Axel, desperately running away as he used his massive strength, thanks to his Berserker Class, to literally punch through anything that got in his way.

It would be a stray building my hybrid forgot to destroy, or the piles of debris that still lingered, or the people that were too slow to move out of the way.

When it comes to saving your own life, the lives of others become insignificant.

I turned my attention back to my hybrid, the rain of fire stopped, as my hybrid could no longer maintain the spell as the souls on its skin looked like they are in even more pain.

I saw the 'skin' of the hybrid expand, covering itself as the hybrid temporarily became shapeless, melting into a puddle-like form before all of the eyes leaked Mana; spreading all across itself before reforming.

It was only about 10 blocks tall now, the armor and weapons adjusted to its size. So it conserved and reused its remaining body mass... smart.

It started to move again, faster now. I had it teleport inside the respawn towers, disabling the teleporting runes inside. Since Magnus is the only one who can create another one, they're not leaving anytime soon.

But surprising a bunch of armed griefers and getting away unscathed is not a real thing. So after taking so much damage, and killing a few more people, now it is only 3 blocks tall.

I knew it was a matter of time before they brought this creature to its defeat, after all the citizens of this kingdom can respawn after they die. But since it had a horrifying impact on the citizens of Boom Town, the people are too scared to come out.

They can't come out to fight, even if they wanted to since I had the hybrid disable the teleporting runes in the respawn tower, trapping them. Now it is only a matter of cleaning up.

I ordered the hybrid to dispel the wraiths, undoing the necromancer magic as they went back to who-knows-where. They aren't needed anymore.

I notified the hybrid of the huge swarm of zombies, spawned by a four necromancers, heading in its direction.

But I also let it know of the two alchemists that are throwing Splash Potions of Speed on the zombies to make them move faster. Then there are the three paladins that are trying to flank it from behind.

So I pulled open the [Armed] screen, and took back the Omni-Staff, it won't help here. Instead, I gave the hybrid two custom weapons I created in my spare time, one in each hand.

It is an enchanted diamond sword with {Sharpness V} and {Fire Aspect II} on the blade. Connected to the bottom of the hilt is a chain that is connected to a cuff to secure around the wrists as each chain link is enchanted with {Unbreaking II}.

I call them the Chaos Blades. It was somewhat easy creating it all, especially with my skill [Enchantment].

[Enchantment] (Active) Level 20

Skill allows you to enchant any item with Mana. You can unlock more enchantments can be unlocked by spending Experience, or finding them. Potency of enchantments depends on Mana spent when enchanting and skill level.

Current Enchantments: {Sharpness}, {Unbreaking}, {Efficiency}, {Thorns}, {Smite}, {Looting}, {Bound}.

I've had this skill for over 6 months and I only managed to level it up to level 20, mostly because I would run out of Mana.

Also because I was busy doing things that are more important than discovering more enchantments: like planning for the project, or getting more Divine Points to gain the Harvester Class.

I tried just spamming low-level enchantments but only got minimal Experience for it. So to level this up fast as possible, I had to do some high-level enchanting.

So in order for the hybrid to win, for me to achieve my goal, I simply have to be the commander and give it an edge in the battlefield. Pun intended.

[Commander] (Passive) Level 90

You now can send mental orders to your soldiers/minions/allies without any verbal communication.

Fighting is 900% more efficient.

[Battlefield] (Active) Level 90

When in conflict, you now have access to a 3D map of your surroundings that only you can see. This map will show enemies, allies/soldiers/minions, all color-coded to tell apart.

Range of map is determined by skill level.

'Behind you.' I mentally ordered my hybrid as it became intangible just in time for the spears to pass right through him, the look of shock was on the three paladins face.

My hybrid turned around, swinging the Chaos Blades, and decapitating two of the paladins before wrapping the chains around a third, around his neck; lifting him up overhead to slam into the first zombie, snapping the paladin's neck, and killing him.

It continued to jump, lunge, spin, and run through the zombie horde, spinning, swinging, twisting and turning the chaos blades as the chains give it extra range, and using them to kill everyone with ease.

Everyone was dead, except for one necromancer who tried to escape. As she is running away, my hybrid chased after her.

When it was close, it threw the chaos blades at her, intended to pierce through her back, only for her to roll to the left, out of the way; escaping.

The chaos blades pierced an iron block, the hybrid pulled the chains, ripping the iron block out before teleporting above the fleeing necromancer and slammed the iron block on top of her head.

He turned around, swung, and threw the iron block. As it went flying it crashed into an red mage who was trying to build a flying machine, killing him by making his brain splat all over his redstone contraption.

On [Battlefield] there is only about 20 people left, hiding away with Magnus and Axel inside a crater as the rest of them are trap inside the respawn towers.

But when the monster found then, readied its weapons, prepared to fight, half of them ran away as Magnus suddenly shot more arrows into its chest. A blue mist started to ooze out as if it was pressurized, and the hybrid... stopped? Eyes wide.
