THE WARLOCK
WE ARE ALL SITTING AT A TABLE BACK AT THE INSTITUTE. Hodge was going to give us a lesson about some Magnus Bane guy. "Magnus Bane," Hodge started, as he looked at the screen.
"He's over 300 years old. And as you can see he's not exactly shield away from the pleasures of every century. His tastes are both exquisite... and quite excessive." "He looks like Downworld's David Guetta." My twin commented. I couldn't help but to laugh out loud. I noticed Alec looking up at me.
"Geutta's already a Downworlder." Isabelle grinned.
"Vampire?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "Ever see him in the daylight?" Isabelle asked, smirking. "Can you and Bella focus? This is not a joke." Alec said. I rolled my eyes. "Someone needs to get slayed." Isabelle sighed. I'll slay him, I thought. "Alec's right. Now, Magnus is the most powerful Warlock I've ever known. He has a deep mistrust of Shadowhunters."
"Well then why would he help my Mom remove Bella and mine's memories?" Clary asked Hodge. "Yeah, isn't she a Shadowhunter?" I asked him. "Yes, one of the best. But 'help' might not be the most accurate word. Now, did Magnus provide service for Jocelyn?"
"Perhaps."
"But more than likely, your Mother paid Magnus handsomely for his magic."
"Warlocks usually require payment before they help any one with anything. Word from the Clave, is that most of the Warlock's have gone into hiding since Valentine started hunting them. Valentine must be searching for the warlock...where did Jocelyn," Hodge's rune started burning and I gasped. "Hodge! Hodge, are you alright?" I asked. "I'm fine," he said.
"So how do we find Magnus?" Clary asked.
"We don't. Magnus finds us. We'll set up a meeting somewhere protected. Lure him out from hiding."
"And I know exactly where to do it." Isabelle said. "A Downworld rave? Nice, Izzy." Jace commented.
"And where'd you get that idea?" Alec asked her.
"During my surveillance of the Downworlder. From what I hear, Magnus likes to party."
