CHAPTER 12
I climbed up a tree that was next to Embry’s window. His room was on the second floor. I watched as Embry paced around his small room. It sounded like he was mumbling to himself but it was low enough that I couldn’t hear him. I quietly knocked on the window making him jump.
“Hey” he said smiling as he opened his window.
“Hey” I said stepping inside.
I noticed he was still on edge about something.
“Are you ok?” I asked
He nodded.
“yeah” he said a little strained.
I raised an eyebrow. Was he nervous? Worried? I had no clue, and it was bugging the heck out of me.
“I’m ok” he said but it still sounded a little off.
“if you say so” I mumbled still not sure.
“was your walk ok?” he asked.
I nodded.
“yeah it was great” I said.
I couldn’t take this awkward silence. I pushed Embry down on his bed and laid down next to him.
“please tell me what’s going on?” I begged laying my head on his chest.
He sighed out of frustration.
“I can’t” he said.
‘why not?” I asked.
“Sam ordered me not to” he said.
A few more minutes of silence passed.
“you could always…write it down” I said.
He sat up.
“I wonder if that would work” he questioned.
He left my arms, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen. He started writing. He finished and handed me the paper.
The Cullen’s are coming back.
It said. I looked up confused.
“the animal drinking vamps?” I asked.
He nodded.
The picture in my back pocket seemed to weigh a thousand pounds.
“I found something about my dad” I said.
He sat back on the bed and wrapped his arms around me.
“what about?” he asked.
I reached in to my pocket and handed him the picture. He studded it. I watched as he begin to panic. He jumped up and throw on some shoes.
“what’s wrong?” I asked
“we need to go see Jake and Billy” he said picking me up bridal style before jumping out of the window.
“why?” I asked as he began to run.
He didn’t answer.
“Embry Call!” I said sternly.
“I can’t tell you yet” he mumbled.
He set me down when we reached Jake’s red house. We waited until Jake opened the door. Jake was all smiles until he noticed the look on our face’s .
“what’s going on?” he asked opening the door to let us in.
Embry handed Jake the picture.
“why do you have a picture of a blood sucker?” he asked.
“it’s my dad” I said confused.
Jake met Embry’s gaze.
“do you really think-” Embry started.
“yeah I do” Jake said.
“ok someone tell me what the hell is going on” I demanded crossing my arms.
“he’s part of the Cullen coven” Embry said.
I froze. My dad is going to be living only a few miles from me. I could possible meet him. I would meet my farther. So why was Embry and Jake so worried.
“on the night that Neal…” Embry paused “passed” he finished “Bella jumped off a cliff and nearly drowned herself” he said.
“what does that have to do with anything?” I asked
“her blood sucker thought she died so he went to kill himself. Bella saved him and now there back together” Jake said.
I could hear the distaste and bitterness in his tone.
“and now there back” he finished.
“they are?” Embry asked.
Jake nodded.
“Moved in yesterday” he frowned.
“I want to see them” I demanded.
They both looked at me funny.
“that’s not going to happen” Embry stated.
“yes it will,” I said walking out of the house.
“Aella!” Embry called.
I ignored him and began to run to forks. Embry chased after me but I was too fast. He skidded to a stop when he reached the border. I continued to run following the sent of vampires hoping it was them. I began to slow when I saw a huge white house with a ton of windows. I walked to the front door. A bronze harried vampire opened the door.
“Hello” he greeted politely.
“Hi” I said taking in the sight of the house behind him.
“do you need something?” the vampire questioned.
“uh yeah, sorry” I said reaching in to my pocket and handing him the picture. “I’m looking for him” I said.
“Where did you get this?” he asked.
“it was my mothers” I said.
He looked me up and down.
“Come in” he said moving out of the way so I could enter.
I walked in and I was taken aback. The stood in the middle of the room. They were beautiful. Each and every one of them had the same strange colored eyes.
“She’s looking for Jasper” he said.
That’s when I noticed him. He looked the same as in the picture.
“Hello,” he greeted with a smile.
I couldn’t think of anything to say, how was I going to tell me that he was my farther. I heard the red harried vamp gasp.
“Hi” I said.
My feet were firmly panted on the ground. He looked at me questionable.
“I’ve been wondering who you are all my life” I blurted out.
“why is that?” he asked.
I took a deep breath to prepare my self for what I was about to say.
“I’m you daughter” I said.
His eyes widened.
“I don’t have a daughter” he said.
“my mother was Ava” I said.
He studded me.
“was?” he asked.
I nodded.
“she died giving birth to me” I said.
“Damn dogs” I heard the vampire who let me in say.
I groaned.
“there here for me” I said frowning.
He looked at me confused.
“I live on the rez and I’m dating Embry” I said.
Everyone was still frozen.
“I just wanted to meet you” I said. Crossing my arms as I walked towards the door.
“wait” jasper said.
I turned on my heels.
“your welcome here anytime, I would really like to get to know you more” he said.
I smiled.
“that might be tough, I think I’m going to be under house arrest for a while” I said
“why?” he asked.
“ I wasn’t supposed to come” I answered.
“please do come back” he said.
“I’ll try” I said
“what’s you name?” he asked me.
“Aella” I said.
“that’s a beautiful name” he said.
“thanks” I said.
Before I could get to the door it opened to reveal Jake and Embry.
“Ella! I’m so glad your ok!” Embry said picking me up and holding me close.
“she was never in any danger” the leader guys said.
I heard Embry growl. I slapped his shoulder and glared at him.
“sorry” Embry mumbled, Soften up a little bit and putting me down.
“I was just worried” he said.
“I know” I said taking his hand.
“wait before you go I think we should introduce you to every one” the leader said.
“we should get going” Embry mumbled pulling me towards the door.
“ok” I said smiling
“I’m Carlisle and this is my wife Esme” he said.
“it’s nice to meet you” Esme said.
She came off as very motherly and caring.
I smiled.
“I’m Emmett” I huge bear like man said.
“hi” I said.
“I’m Rosalie” a pretty blonde woman said.
“I’m Edward” the vamp who let me in said.
“Jasper” my dad said. “my wife Alice isn’t here right now” he said.
I nodded.
“it was great to meet all of you, I’ll try and be back tomorrow” I said.
They all nodded. Embry pulled on my hand impatient. I left feeling a little better. I finally knew who my dad was.
“I’m sorry” I mumbled to Embry.
“please, please, please don’t every do that again” he said.
He grabbed my legs, picking me up and making me taller then him. He gently paced his lips on mine. I pulled away after a minute or two.
“I’ll try not to” I said smiling.
He smiled back. I ruined the moment by yawning.
“let’s get you in my bed so you can sleep” he said
I nodded.
“I love you” I mumbled.
A smile lit up his whole face.
“I love you too” he said
“oh and will you be my girlfriend?” he asked.
I laughed.
“of course” I said.
He kissed me again.
