Prologue
-Harry-
If your teacher from kinder garden asks you what you want to become when you’re a ‘big boy’ you answer things like…a cowboy, an astronaut, an officer, a firefighter… I always wanted to become a singer. But my friend aka Louis Tomlinson never answered the question though. He just simply said he didn’t know yet. I never questioned it though. I understood it, he wasn’t the only one who answered like that.
When your teacher in high school asks you the same you answer things like, a teacher, a footballer, a musician, a singer, an actor, a businessman. My answer was still the same, a singer. Louis answered again, he didn’t knew what he wanted. He couldn’t see his future. And still I never questioned it. I never asked why he didn’t knew, I never tried to help him decide.
When I could ask him the question again, I knew his answer still would be the same. ‘I don’t know yet, we’ll see if the future comes…’ If…always if…If the future comes. And yet I didn’t notice. I never questioned why in the world he added IF in his sentence.
Do I regret it? Yes, with all my heart. If I only knew, if I only noticed. Maybe I could’ve helped him. I could’ve saved him…if only I knew. I could be his light in the darkness he lived in. I would’ve light up his day, I would’ve made him happy. I would’ve helped him through the dark…
