You slowly steered your bike through the fallen leaves of the woods. The woods provided you a shortcut to your house.
You gasped as you heard a loud crunch.
"Hello? Anyone there?" You should have been running, but curiousity took over.
A girl with short, buzz-cut hair emerged from behind a tree.
"A-are you alone? Do you need help?" It was like you were talking to a brick wall.
"Mike." The girl spoke the only word she would say.
"Mike?" You thought for a second, "Do you need Mike Wheeler?"
She nodded slightly.
You smiled and lightly grabbed her hand.
You lead her out of the maze of trees, and hopped back onto your bike.
"Come on, I'll take you to Mike."
Her scared, confused expression folded into a smile.
You patted the back of your seat, and she climbed on.
You peddled all the way to the Wheeler home, and walked up to the front door.
Just as you lifted your hand to knock you heard...
"No! Come in the basement door, around the back!"
The girl instantly ran to follow instruction, causing you to smile.
You rode off, happy to reunite the girl and Mike.
