I had arived in the zeda-tubes that's In an Ally between a thrift store and a pawn shop when I herd a scream. I armored up and took flight towards the direction of the scream.
'it was hi picked and from the sounds it seems to be a female about 7-13 years of age'. Khaji Ra informed me.
I got there a few seconds after to see a grown man who wore a gray T-shirt and cargo shorts grabbing a little girl. I formed out a sonic canon and fired it at the car he was attempting to put her in.
"That's not how you treat a lady" I said as the car blasted to the other side of the street. I flew down as he dropped the girl he tryed to run off buy I formed a staple gun and shot him to the wall. The girl looked at me with a sudden gain of confidence
"Who are you subpost to be" she asked
"I'm Red beetle" I said "and you are?"
"Milagro" she said with a little hint of sass she had Pajama pants on with a yellow and white striped T-shirt, with her hair in two pig tails
"You look like some I know" I said she had brown hair and dark brown eyes kinda like jaime.
"Yeah I get that a lot some say I look like my brother, but I'm better looking obviously" she said I began to 'remove' the part of the armor that coverd my face.
"Your pretty," she said
"But nothing compared to you, so what do you think we should do with him" I asked with a smirk and she returned it.
"How about 3 hours of torture" I knew she was joking so I played along he looked at her wide eyed I formed two swords and lifted them
"NO PLEASE I PROMISE I WONT DO IT AGAIN PLEASE JUST GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE!!" the guy began crying and looked like he peed. I looked back at milagro who was dying of laughter on the floor. "Relax dude I don't kill and your not under instigation" I said trying hard to hold back my laughter. I opened my wings and began to fly picking her up.
"Wooo hoo" she cheered
"So tell me Milagro what exactly are you doing at 11:00 on a Thursday night walking around El Paso without a parent" I said nonchalantly
"Ancwer for Ancwer" she said
"Ok what do you want to know?" I asked
"What's your name?"
"My real name is Zoey" I said "now ancwer my question"
"I was at a sleep over with one of my friends and remembered I didn't tell my parents about it" she said
I looked at her confused
"how do you forget to tell them that" I asked
"I don't know I was cot up in the moment" she replied
"Well we some how ended up at a mountain, so where do you live" I asked she gave me her address and scarab took us there. 'Ok I have to ask' I though to my self
"Who is your brother"
"His name is Jamie" she answered my eyes went wide
"Is your last name Reyes" I asked
"Yeah why"
"You'll see" I said with a smirk. We landed in front of her house I still had my armor on, just not the head peace, she had fallen asleep during the flight and I cared her bridal style (DONT YOU DARE THINK WRONG) I rang the door bell and a man answered the door. He saw my face and his daughter asleep in my arms
"O thank, you thank you please come in" he said and I enters the nice and clean 2 story home .
"Who's there is it Milagro" asked a woman coming down stars
She saw her in my arms and began to tear up.
"Don't worry she's OK she just fell asleep on the flight here" I said, giving the sleeping girl to her father
The mom gave me a bone crushing hug, I couldn't breath event through the armor witch kinda shocked me.
"Thank-you thank-you thank-you" she said excitedly
"why are you so cold" she asked taking a step back and finally looking at the armor. I couldn't help but smirk.
"Is Jamie here" I asked she looked at me eye wide and looked almost speechless. Then the father looked as well and gave a smile.
"Mom did you find her" said Jamie coming down the stairs waring warm-up's with no shirt .I tryed to hold back a blush and... Success.
"Nice warm-up's prince charming but where's the shirt" I said
He realised he wasent waring one and ran up stars coming back a few seconds later putting one on.
"Sorry, where was she what happend" he asked not taking his eyes off me.
"Nightwing said you needed to talk to me so I zetaed here, heard a scream and saw a man trying to put her in his car" I said in a serious tone. I looked at my armor and back at his shocked parents.
"O yeah forgot" I said removing the rest on my armor
' the Jamie Reyes hasent taken his eyes off you' said khaji Ra
I snaped my fingers taking him out of his thoughts
"O sorry, ummm...yeah a case on a runway" he said blushing a little.
Jamie's P.O.V
I ran down stares to see Milagro in my father's hands and my mom shocked I looked over at what she was staring at and saw Zoey still in her armor but the head portion is removed and let me just say, I couldn't stop staring at her face, she's so beautiful,
"Nice warm-up's prince charming but where's your shirt" she said making me snap out of it I blushed whale running up stairs grabbing a black shirt off my bead and putting it on whale going back down stairs.
"Sorry, where was she, what happened" I asked staring again
"Nightwing said you needed to talk to me so I zetaed here, heard a scream and saw a man trying to put her in his car" she said in a serious tone.
She looked behind me and said "o yeah, sorry" and armored down
'your staring at her like an idiot' scarab said she looked to the side like I do when scarab talks and snaped her fingers making me stop staring at her blushing a little.
"O sorry umm...case on a runaway" I said remembering Tye.
Milagro woke up and my mom stopped staring at her but stood in front of me happy.
"So how long have you known Jamie" she asked her "um about 2 months"
"Has he treated you good" she bombarded her with questions and Zoey aquardly ancwerd
Zoeys P.O.V
She was in the middle of a question when Jamie grabbed my wrist and led me up stairs
"sorry mom but we have work to do" he said I could tell he was pretty embarrassed.
"So where was the last ace you saw him" I asked
"Well he called me from the bus depot, told me he was running to Houston" he said I smiled at my city's Name
"Well did anyone have any thing agent him"
"His mom's boyfriend maris" he said
"I'll look I'm to it a little" I said armoring up and expanded the wings on my suit I flew up and out to the depot.

I opened the door and walked up to the clerk
"Hello what may I do for you today" she asked tiredly trying to stay awake.
"I would like to know who brought a bus's ticket to Houston Texas." I said. She opens a book and looked
"No one bought a ticket to night so so one boarded, sorry" she said
"It's ok" I said and left going back to jamie's
I went through the window and landed in front of him.
"So the clerk told me no one boarded the bus" I said softly he put his hands in his hair and sat on his bed. I sat next to him and Put my arm over his shoulders armoring down so I was in my pants and black under armor shirt.
"Hay well find him" I said giving him a reassuring smile.
"I know but I'm worried"
"And tired" I added seeing the bags under his eyes.
I looked around his room and saw a few things on the floor and his bed I cleard it off and told him to lay down and get some rest.
"And what about you?" he asked
"Relax Jamie I don't need to sleep yet" I said but in all truth I was tired
'yes you do your Hart rate has lowed and your voice is low indicating signes of tiredness'
"Shut up" I whispered to Khaji Ra
"Does your scarab talk to you too?" he asked as I hesitated to Ancwer.
"Yeah she can say some pretty weard thinks some times" I said running my hand through my hair yawning.
"You need rest, and the zeda-tubes are 40 minutes away" he said in a serious tone
"I'll be ok I can manage" I said
"No you need rest"
" And you have school" I argued
"Then I guess I'm falling asleep in class, so..." he said I let out a sigh
'the Jamie Reyes is correct you need rest'
"I sometimes really hate you khaji Ra" I said
"...But I don't have any cloths here and I'm not to comfortable sleeping In pants" I said making up an excuse I honestly don't care what I sleep in. He then walked over to his dresser and took out a black shirt and basketball shorts that seemed to small for him.
"Here" he said handing them to me with a smirk. I sighed in defeat and walked towards them and took them from his hand. I began to take my shirt off and put on the black one I turned to see him facing the other direction, I couldn't help but roll my eyes as I changed in to the shorts as well.
"Are you done yet" he asked impatiently
"yeah you can stop acting like a child and turn a round" I said
Back to lil Jamie's P.O.V
I turned around and saw how she looked in my cloths event in my cloths she still looked beautiful the shirt was long on her though.
'you staring like an idiot again' my scarab said
"Yeah, l-let's just go t-to sleep" I said stuttering.
"Yeah you have school and I have some investigating" she said laying down, and I got next to her she turned to her side and dazed off. I put my arms around her waste and passed out

I woke up from the sound of my alarm and saw her still next to me her face was in my chest and my arm was wrapped around her too she looked so peaceful and cute.
"Uahhhh" she said quietly "turn off that damn alarm" she said looking up at me as I turned it off placing my arm back around her.
"Buenos días" I said
"A ti tambien" she replied in a more calming and awakened voice. We just stared at each other for a moment.
"You need to get ready" she said disappointed
"Can't we just stay like this por uno poco?" I asked she stayed silent for a little listening to her scarab, I gess it's translating. she smiled a little and put her head back in my chest
"Yeah it's warm" I shivered at her warm touch. Wishing this would never end, like I could stay this way for ever
'you have approximately 20minutes to get ready and 10 minutes to get to school ' my scarab said. I had time we stays like this for a little while longer. Then The realization hit me like a flash flood.
'im in love'
"Alright we need to get up" she said sadly
"Ok"
We got dressed with me apparently acting like a 'child' again. And we went down stairs
Zoeys P.O.V
'the Jamie Reyes shows more affection toward you and you seem to return it' my scarab said to me as I walked down stairs with jamie.
"Did you spend the night" asked Milagro
"No I came through the window a little while ago" I said covering a faint blush.
"Ok, hay jamie can zoey take me to school today" she asked, jamie turned to me for an answer, I gave him a slight nod.
"Yeah tell her when your ready to go" he said as she replied with an ok
"Alrighty I have to go to school now but during my free period I'll come back and we can go find out more". He said walking up to me.
I looked up seeing how close we are as he cupped my face in his hands our lips where onily centimeters apart when-we herd foot steps going down stairs and we pulled away.
"You ready" I asked
"Yeah" we walked out the door and headed towards her school
"So has he asked you out yet" she asked
"What?" I said
"It's obvious he likes you I mean like have you seen the way he looks at you, its like he's lost or something" she said
"Yeah my scarab tells me that he and Nightwing apparently have "affection" towards me" I said she suddenly stopped in her tracks we where in front of the school.
"Wate Nightwing, like the hero of Blüdaheven" she said
"Yeah why"
"Well who do you chose" she asked then the bell rang "we will finish this conversation later" she said and ran in side.
I began walking back when I got a call on my link from Nightwing
'red where are you' he asked
"Im in El Paso what's wrong"
'I need assistance here at the cave'
"On my way 30 minutes out" I responded.

NIGHTWING'S P.O.V
'recognized Red beetle B-0-9 (she took rockets number) the computer called out.
"Red come here" i said I knoticed a different scent on her it smelt kindove like...cologne 'who was she with'.
"Where where you last night you didn't return to the cave" I said suspiciously
"I was at Jamie's helping him with the case when it got late so I slept over" she said with a hint of a blush.
"Oh" I said sadly. I hope she dosent like him, I mean I would be surprised if he liked her shes beautiful, well fit, kind, caring and bas ass.
"So what did you need help with" she asked braking the silence.
"I need help hacking some of penguins bank accounts he stole money from banks in Blüdaheven" I said hiding the sadnesses in my voice witch she noticed.
"What's wrong" she asked
"Nothing! Can we just start this" I said a bit to harshly
"Um..yeah give me a moment" she said with a froun walking to the computer.
"Sorry I'm just, stressed" I said
"Aren't we all... it comes with the job" she said putting a smile on placing an armored hand on it
" Alright scarab do your thing" she said. Who was she talking to. And who is scarab. I questioned
A few seconds later she finished
"Alright all the money is back in the banks" she said happy she looked at her left shoulder as if she wants in a deep conversation
"I know I see that" she said randomly
"Umm...who are you talking to" I asked she armored down and pointed to her back with her thumb.
"The scarab it gives me advice and talks to me mainly by intruding my thoughts like an a-hole" she said
"Oh well that explains...somthing"
She then went to her room.
Zoeys P.O.V
I walked to my room and changed to a pair of leggings and a white body, red sleeved shirt and went to the Zeda-tubes "what's the occasion" asked Nightwing with a smirk.
'he's eying us activating plasma canon to maximum for obliteration'
"Oh, just meeting up with Jamie" I said and his smirk dropped with a frown
" I'll see you tonight" I said as he turned around facing me "for patrol" I said and went to the zeda-tubes
"Yeah see you then" he said gaining his happy voice back.

(Out side the zeda-tubes)
"Wow scarab you need to chill" I said
'i can't do that the temperature is currently 84°'
"You sarcastic smart-ass" I said with a little laugh
'i am smart but lack the 'ass''
"O my god" I said rolling my eyes
