Luke's POV
One Year later
I lay against the hard ground floor with Molly sleeping against me my arm around her to try comfort her. My new found bruises on my arms and face had concerned her but yet that's nothing new.
"Luke," says Lenny.
"What's wrong?" I ask him.
"Nothing is wrong...how are you feeling?"
"I'm alright, Lenny. No need for concern. I know its happened a couple times but I don't think its too much to worry about. I'm so close to finding out," I say to Lenny.
"I agree. I mean its not exactly something I would of wanted to know," Lenny says.
"Me either. I mean...Kevin should of had the right to tell me in his own time. Its just a shame there was no time for that. I can't believe they loved each other. Majesty and Kevin...together and now hate each other. How can love fail so bad like that," I whisper.
"I don't know Luke. I've never quite got love its always been a strong but also scary human feeling," Lenny admits.
"Yeah I guess it is," I smile softly to myself.
"You want him to reveal his name," says Lenny.
"I do. I need to know his real name. It be the start of stopping him. We have to use everything he has told me against him. Bring up the past and push him to his limits and...I don't want to hurt Kevin or Majesty but I don't have much of a choice. I rather use words then weapons. Its what mum would of done," I say slowly.
"She always does sound like a brilliant women," says Lenny.
"She was and still is. I know shes gone but never from my heart or who she touched when she was alive. I miss her Lenny...I miss Sanjay and Sky. I miss Jay and Daniel. I miss them all. Its been so hard," I whisper.
"I know...I'm sorry," Lenny says softly.
"Hey its alright. I mean just one more year to go," I laugh at the thought.
I close my eyes drifting off to sleep.
As days slipped into weeks upon weeks time seemed to slip away from me more and more. Each time I woke I hardly said a word but really I was having full conversations with Lenny inside my head. Thinking and planning for hours on end and no one had a clue.
No one had a clue. Not even the Majesty.
I find myself sitting in his office. He looks me up and down and sighs, "You hardly spoke in weeks. I tell you stuff and I get no reaction. Its no fun," Majesty says to me.
"I thought that is what you would want Majesty," I finally say something.
"Oh give it up with that...you know my name Luke," he whispers.
"Jamey," I whisper.
He looks at me and smiles, "I had no idea I'll come to actually enjoy our chats. But it still changes nothing," he says to me.
"I didn't expect it too," I say in a whisper.
"He still hides away. Doesn't show his face," he says.
"What do you expect? I mean you destroyed him," I tell him.
"I did. I did destroy him when I took you. That much is clear," he laughs looking at me.
I lower my head looking down at the floor. He comes over to me and places his hand on my cheek pulling my head up to look directly into his eyes.
"Luke," he whispers.
"Yeah?"
He smiles, "Nothing." He lets go and walks over to his window to look outside.
"When are you going to kill everyone?" I ask him.
He turns to me, "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean," I say to him.
"I don't have a time limit Luke. I mean you know me more then anyone else has ever known me. I like playing it cool, playing these long games. One day I will rid this land of every human because of him," he whispers.
"Will I be the first?" I question.
His smile fades, "I don't know."
"What?" I ask confused.
"Don't think for a moment I've grown soft!" he barks at me.
"I didn't say you had," I whisper.
He sighs, "I've grown tired Luke. Tired of waiting..."
"So have I."
"What?" he asks me now.
"I know my fate, Jamey. I know one day soon you will kill me in front of Kevin. Its just waiting for that day," I whisper.
"Luke...I guess we are both fed up of waiting then. Do you want anything to eat?" he asks.
I don't answer him because I knew it to be time. Its time to stop talking to him. Time to stop responding to him. I know enough and now all it is now is a waiting game. Waiting for the day I see myself with Jamey.
Present Time
I watch as the Tardis comes back the Doctor, Amy and Rory stepping out. I smile as I get to my feet.
"Hey Luke," smiles the Doctor.
"Your lucky you get to do that the short way around," I say as I smile at all three of them.
"So you said you have a plan," the Doctor says.
"I do. I learned a lot from him. From the Majesty including his real name. He told me everything. I know everything and I'm about to use that against him."
"How?" asks Rory.
"The power of words is a strong thing. Even more then a weapon," I smile winking at the Doctor as I rush towards the door.
"Luke what is going on?" Molly suddenly asks stopping me in my tracks. She is awake.
I turn to her, "Its almost over Molly. Its almost time for you to be with your parents again. Stay here and trust me please," I tell her.
She looks at me and nods, "I trust you with my life Luke Hill," she grins.
The Doctor, Amy and Rory give me a strange look which makes me laugh. "Its Luke Smith but I'll explain that hopefully at some point. Doctor you got the sonic screw driver?" I ask him.
"Well of course Luke," he says as he opens the door with it.
"But what is the plan where are we going?" Amy asks.
"I had a lot of time to think and plot and plan. I sometimes think I've really over thought it but...we have to go speak to Kevin first."
"Kevin. I thought this was about stopping Majesty," says Rory.
"It is but Kevin is a bigger part then you could of ever imagined," I tell them as we leave the basement closing the door behind us. "What about the rest of them?" Amy asks.
"They are safer in there for now," I tell her.
"I agree with Luke," says the Doctor.
We make sure to be careful not getting spot by any of Jamey's men. I knew every guard, every exit of this place. I had come to learn it by being constantly brought to Jamey's office and among other places of his so called house that is huge.
"You said you know his real name," says Amy as we are finally walking through the trees heading towards the gap in the tree where I hope Kevin will be at underground.
"Jamey. His name is Jamey and he was in love for so long. His heart was broken and all that is left is anger, revenge and sorrow. It is what brought him to do all this," I tell them.
"He was in love," says Rory looking shocked.
"Yeah and three guesses who with," I say as we finally reach the gap in the tree.
"Kevin," says the Doctor.
"Exactly. Jamey did all this because of Kevin. He told me everything because he needed to tell someone and who better then Kevin's adopted son. He is angry and fed up of waiting and when I stopped talking to him I think it sent him over the edge until my other self turned up. Now he is confused about the two Luke's. Any way that doesn't matter. What does matter is stopping him once and for all and I will do that with words alone but I need to talk to Kevin first."
I head through the hole in the burnt out trees. "How did you manage to find this again?" Rory asks.
"Super alien brain I remember everything," I tell him.
"Of course," says Rory.
We head down and as I reach the bottom we find most of them asleep apart from Kevin huddled in the corner.
"Wait here," I say to them as I head over to Kevin and sit down beside him.
His eye go wide, "How are you here? I mean...are you my son or are you the other one?" he questions.
Oh this is going to be fun trying to explain. "I'm both, Kevin. The Doctor and his two companions travel in time. I came with them and for some reason I traveled back in time to where you first adopted me. I had too. I needed to know everything and I do now. He opened up to me. He told me everything. He is called Jamey but you already know that. I am the same Luke you came to care for. I know it doesn't make any sense but I need you to trust me and listen to me. Jamey only does this because of you. I know its a harsh thing to say but this is revenge at its highest. He told me everything because he knew you adopted me. He knew you hate that he confined in me and that he hurt me too. One day he hoped you come out of hiding find you and then kill me in front of you," I finish.
Kevin looks at me his mouth wide open in shock but soon its disappears as he pulls me into a tight embrace. "It is you...I don't care how or why but it is. I thought I never see you again," he whispers.
"I knew I would see you. Its why I was going on about fate...its not something I believe in but in that moment I thought it be the best thing to say. I never wanted to hurt you Kevin. I never wanted any of that but it was needed. Its not been easy for me either. Two years stuck in that place with him...I had no choice. Kevin...I know how I can stop him. Just with words. I know him inside and out just like you use too. I know you and Jamey use to love each other," I say to him.
Kevin pulls away from me sighing, "I'm so sorry that I never told you," be begins.
"Kevin why would of you? I mean you had no idea what would really happen did you and...I only knew you for six weeks. Its happened now but we got to stop him. Will you help me?" I ask him.
He looks at me, "After all you told me and all you have done...I will help anyway I can. Anything for you Luke. Six weeks was all I needed to know your the son I've always wanted whether I really know you or not," he smiles at me.
"Come with me then because we don't have much time."
"What is going on!" Joe suddenly demands appearing in front of us as we got up.
"Joe he is my son. He is alive and he has a plan to stop him," says Kevin looking happy as he takes my hand and I let him because within those six weeks I had come to care for him in a way I thought wouldn't be possible again not after mum.
"How can it be him?" he questions.
"Because he is the bravest and smartest kid I have ever met," says Kevin looking at me. He looks so proud of me and as much as I know its all going to end and its not all that its made out to be I'll try enjoy it in this moment if nothing else.
"Kevin and I have to go. We have to stop him. I know how," I tell Joe.
"What?" he says still confused.
"Let the kid do his thing. Believe me he is brilliant," says the Doctor coming over smiling at me.
"Alright go and do what you got to do but be safe," says Joe.
"I will bring Molly home," I tell him.
"Molly...she is alive?"
"She always has been. I kept her safe from him. She is unharmed," I tell him.
"Thank you," he whispers.
"I would of done it every time. I'll bring her back to you. Stay here and be careful," I say before we leave Joe behind heading up to the surface.
"So how do you plan to stop him with words alone?" asks Kevin.
"I had a lot of time to think about it. Go over it all in my head with Lenny," I say.
"Lenny?"
"Another complicated thing about me I might tell you if we stop him," I smile.
"Do you need us to do anything?" asks the Doctor.
"I can hurt him and I can stop him but what after that. Its the one thing I'm still not sure on. How do I stop him from coming back. How do we stop him from wanting revenge still. I really thought about it for a very long time and that part always has got me," I tell the Doctor the truth.
"I understand that Luke. He needs a new start. To get through his hate, anger and sadness and heartache," The Doctor tells me.
"Exactly but where? What would be best for someone like Jamey?"
"Is there a place like that for aliens?" Amy asks the Doctor.
The Doctor nods, "There is. We could drop him off there but we would have to distract him long enough to knock him out. In a none violent way. I can give him an injection," the Doctor suggests.
"Alright. Go get it from the Tardis. Kevin and I will go ahead. We are relying on you. I have thought this out a lot but it may not go as I planned it in my head. Jamey has always been unpredictable," I say slowly.
"Don't worry Luke. We are almost there. We can do this. All your hard work will have been for a good reason," he smiles.
"See you soon," I say to the Doctor as I set off Kevin close behind me.
