Lana's POV
I walked into the principals office following behind her, before taking a seat. The room was plain yet had a comfortable feel to it making me melt into my seat with ease, my eyes wandered around the room, the scent of strong perfume and a new spray of air fresheners lingered in the air.
My head turned to face the principal after I heard her clear her throat.
"So tell me what had happened" she asked as she sat down in her large comfy chair.
"Well, when I arrived at school I went straight to my locker only to see that it was vandalised, very degrading words were written all over my locker in bright red lipstick," I said.
"I immediately knew it was Eva after I heard her friends talking about the incident, but it only got worse after I entered into the cafeteria. My lunch table was also covered in words the same as my locker, in bright red lipstick"
"If you don't mind me asking but what were those words" Mrs.Weston asked.
"Ugly, useless, pathetic, w-whore, black bitch" I choked out feeling tears well up in my eyes as I bit down hard on my bottom lip, trying not to cry.
"Did anything else happen?" The principal spoke softly as she passed me a tissue.
"She started calling Elease, Tasha and Heath names and of course she called me names" I whispered as I wiped my eyes with the tissue.
"She began to throw my skittles all over the place whenever I ignored her , heck she even hit Mike in the face with the packet. After that it was a blur, I just lost it when she pulled my hair making me fall to the ground and my actions were no longer my actions when I beat her ass" I said.
It was silent after a while as the principal stared at me trying to see if I was lying.
"Miss.Smith, from what I've heard from you and the other students, I can clearly see what the problem is" she finally said as she stood up from her seat, walking towards the window near the book stand.
"You are the victim in this situation and in this school I do not tolerate bullying" she spoke authority lacing in her voice.
"But that does not mean that I'm going to let you off the hook for what happened in that cafeteria, you will be getting detention which will start next week, since it will be the start of April, a new month" she said.
"Eva will be suspended for two days next week and then she will join you in detention for the rest of the week" she said making me nod my head.
"Am I understood?" She said.
"Yes Mrs.Weston" I answered.
"Good, you may leave" she said as I stood up picking up my bag and leaving her office.
"Oh and Lana," the principal said making me turn around.
"You really did beat Eva's ass" the principal smiled before giving me a cheeky wink.
"Bye Mrs.Weston" I laughed as she said a goodbye back.

The walk to Xander's house was quiet and tranquil as I was deep in my thoughts. My mind would wander to the thought of my aunt and uncle murdering my parents, making chills cascade down my back.
Pushing away those thoughts from my mind, I began to think about the party that Jamie invited me to, a feeling of uncomfortable butterflies welled up in my stomach as I turned round a corner. Xander's house came into view as my stride lengthened and my speed increased.
Walking towards the gate I typed in the password and waited for the large black gates to open. My eyes wandered around the area as the gates slowly opened, I stopped mid step when I felt something bump into me making me gasp as I looked to my left.
"Hey watch where you're going" I shouted as the person continued to walk but stopped.
When the person turned around I let out a gasp.
"H-Heath what happened to you" I whispered as I walked towards him.
His cheek was bruised and had small scratches on it and his top lip had a small cut, he walked slowly towards me a small smile on his face. There was a small bump above his right eyebrow on his head, and as he made his way towards me I noticed how his left hand was clutching the right side of his stomach.
"It's nothing, I-I'm fine" he winced.
"No, no you're not, come on let me help you" I said as I wrapped my arm around his waist as he put his arm on my shoulder.
"Jesus Christ your heavy" I muttered.
"Are you calling me fat" he said as he let out a fake gasp before letting out a wince.
"That really hurts you know, I have a low self esteem" he said as he clutched his hand over his chest dramatically.
"Oh stop it, let me get you cleaned up" I said as we walked down the long driveway.

"You got a really nice house" Heath said as I helped him to the door.
"I-it's not mine it's Xander's" I whispered.
"Of course it is" he muttered as he leaned against the wall.
"So are you going to tell me what happened" I asked him but he only shook his head, his jaw clenched tightly as he looked elsewhere.
Knocking on the door I waited for it to open as I helped Heath up again, the door opened revealing Lissa who had a smile on her face before it turned into a frown.
"Oh my what happened to you?" She asked as she let us in, worry seeping into her voice.
"He won't tell me," I sighed as I guided him up the steps towards one of the bathrooms in the hall on the second floor.
Walking into the bathroom I ordered Heath to sit down near the sink on a tall stool. Turning to my left I walked towards one of the cupboards that was on the wall. Opening it I reached up to grab the first aid kit but it was too high up, on the fourth shelf.
"Oh come on" I muttered as I stood on my tippy toes.
I felt a hard body against my back as a hand reached out to grab the first aid kit. Turning around I looked up to Heath seeing that he was staring down at me.
"T-thanks" I said as I took the first aid kit from his hands.
He nodded his head as he moved away from me returning to his seat. Walking towards him I placed the first aid kit on top of the sink,before turning on the tap to wash my hands with soap and water. Drying my hands with a wash cloth, I opened the first aid kit taking some gauze out. Soaking it in water I gently dabbed the wound that was on his cheek, cleaning it.
I expected for him to wince or at least flinch but nothing, he continued to stare into my eyes, making me feel uncomfortable.
"Stop staring at me" I said as I continued to clean his wound.
After cleaning up his cheek I neatly placed a small plaster on his cut. I did the same to the top of his lip cleaning it, but I decided to not put a plaster on it.
"Take off your shirt" I said making Heath raise an eyebrow at me.
"Woah, someone's a bit eager" he said as I rolled my eyes.
"Okay fine I'll take off my shirt" he said when he noticed the glare I was giving him.
I everted my gaze from him as he slowly took off his shirt, his muscles flexed as he took it off leaving him shirtless. Both large and small scars decorated his torso and from what I could see in the mirror behind him, there was an even amount of scars on his back too.
But something else had caught my eye, a small three digit number was branded just under his collar bone, the small mark now made permanent.

Absentmindedly my hand wandered towards his chest, my fingers softly caressing the burnt flesh making Heath flinch. Before my fingers could trace the last digit, I felt his hand wrap tightly around my wrist making me gasp as I looked up to meet his eyes.
"I'm sorry Heath-" I apologised as he stood up trying to walk past me but I blocked his way.
"Lana move" he said annoyed as he tried to move past me again.
"Heath please just sit down" I pleaded as I grabbed onto his arm.
"J-just stay here, let me get you some ice for that bruise on your side" I suggested blocking his way once again.
"Fine but as soon as you do I'm leaving" he uttered.
Nodding my head I decided to quickly tidy up the sink area, wrapping up the extra gauze and bandages that surrounded the sink. Stuffing them back into the first aid kit, I turned around placing it in the cupboard on the second shelf.
"Ill be back, just don't move" I said before speed walking out of the bathroom and down the stairs.
As I reached the first floor I turned to look behind me to see if Heath was following me, but he wasn't. As I turned back to face forward my face collided with a chest.
"Shit sorry Xander," I apologised before rushing past him and Theo who was beside him.
"Woah what's the rush Lana" Xander said as he caught my elbow making me stop.
"A friend of mine is injured and I'm just helping him out" I said shrugging off his hold.
"Him!?" Xander and Theo said in unison.
"Yes him, now if you will excuse me I need to get some ice" I said as I walked past them towards the kitchen.
