I look at myself in the mirror tracing over my server burns, on my neck, arms legs, stomach, everywhere, there ugly, I'm ugly, I'm not beautiful, I never will be, these scars bring horrific memories, my sister, the hunger games, the war, Gale... I hate having these scars, I hate them.
I feel arms around my waist and see its Peeta, we both just stare into the mirror and I shake my head and turn in his grasp
"Why do you love me? Don't say because I'm beautiful, honestly" I ask
"Cause of these" he says, kisses one burn my neck, my collar bone, my shoulder, my arms, I give a small smile at my fiancé
"They make me ugly" I mumble looking down and he grabs my wrists but not enough to hurt me
"They show the world what you've done, you got rid of the hunger games, you got rid of an evil president, these are your battle scars, they represent the hard work that you've done for the world, that is why I love you, your burns are the reason I love you" he replies and by the end tears are falling, this is why I agreed on marrying him even though I know I'm not big for the good things I've done but Peeta does, he makes me feel like I can do anything if I put my mind too it and I love him for it.
