Finnick and I sit in his quarters, him tying different knots with some rope and me, twirling the silvery white pearl in between my thumb and my index finder soon the doors slide open and Haymich is panting
"Their back" he pants with those words Finnick and I are up and sprinting towards the medical centre, searching around just trying to get a glimpse of the boy with bread, my boy with bread
"Finnick! Finnick!" A female voice calls and a redhead girl jumps in his arms as he says her name Annie, a wave of jealousy washes over me so I keep walking around and find Johanna ripping cords out and yelling at the doctors that she's fine, I ignore her smirk that she gives me and keep walking and see Gale, a nurse tending to his wound
"He's in there" he says without a care in the world, I ignore it and walk to the door which says on a sign Peeta Mellark, I open the door and see doctors finishing up
"Peeta..." I say in almost a whisper and he freezes and his head turns and I gasp, his beautiful face is covered in cuts and bruises
"Peeta..." It's the only thing I can get out before I'm in his embrace, I let tears flow down my cheeks and he pulls away rubbing my tears and I smile at his touch
"What's the matter?" He asks
"Nothing, I'm just so glad your back" I laugh through tears
"Then, will you be okay if I kiss you?" He asks, I don't answer we both just lean in and our lips collide, his hand on my cheek and the other on my waist and both of my hands are on each side of his face which deepens the kiss, I wish I could freeze and live in this moment but soon we have to break away
"I love you" I whisper and he smiles
"I love you" he whispers back.
