Kakashi’s pov.
I was going to go talk with Sasuke and had a mission but then there was Yuki I needed to go see. I was a little worried about her because she hadn’t stayed in her room last night. I had a feeling that she might have gone to another room like Sasuke’s because the hospital scared her. I sigh as I walk into her room to see her asleep but she was tossing and turning in her bed. She looked like she was having some kind of nightmare and I was really worried about her so I walk over and gently smooth out her hair. She relaxes a little but her face was still scrunched up like something bad was happening. I move Yuki over in the bed a little before laying next to her holding her to myself. She relaxes completely and her face like her dream was getting better. I had things to go deal with but I couldn’t leave her alone like this if her nightmares were back.
‘I guess I need to make a clone or something to stay here so I can go deal with Sasuke.’ I think before standing up. I was just about to make a clone and leave when the door opens. I look up at Ibiki who had a small frown on his face. “What are you doing here?” I ask as I relax a little. H gives a little sigh before looking at Yuki then myself. “She was asking when you would be back and I came to tell her you were. Guess I don’t need to do that anymore.” He says before shaking his head and turning to leave. He was halfway out the door when there was a blood curling scream from Yuki’s bed and I rush over to her Ibiki doing the same. Yuki relaxes into my hold and looks really scared. “Yuki it’s ok.” I say as I gently rub her arm but she was looking around the room quickly before trying to pull out of my hold. I let her and she makes a wobbly run to the bathroom before we can hear slashing. Ibiki looked a little shocked but didn’t say anything as he watched me.
“Yuki you ok?” I ask as I walk over to where she was. She opens the door a little before holding her arms up to me. “Help me back into bed?” she asks in a small soft voice. I nod before picking her up and carrying her over to her bed. She looks a little confused as she looked at Ibiki then myself. “You ok kid?” Ibiki asks as he leans over her a little. “Fine I guess.” She mumbles as she looks at her feet. Ibiki sighs before leaving us alone. I look down at Yuki before gently smoothing out her hair. “Tell me the truth are you ok?” I ask before sitting by her. She shakes her head no before laying her head down on the pillow. “My nightmare was about me drowning during my last mission. I guess I need to practice swimming more.” She says before closing her eyes as if she was in pain. “I can’t stay for much longer because I have a mission but I will ask if I can keep Pakkun here for you. He can keep an eye on you for me. Does that sound alright with you sweetheart?” I say. She gives a little nod. It hurt to leave her but I had things to deal with and I hoped my mission wouldn’t take long to do. I was proud of her because she had become a chunin and didn’t even know it yet. Lady Tsunade had told me when I got my mission and she was going to tell Yuki once she was able to leave the hospital. Yuki would have been told sooner if she hadn’t been on different missions with my team or busy with other things.
Yuki’s pov.
I lied about my nightmare because I didn’t want Kakashi to know how bad it really was. It was true I had drowned in my nightmare but the worst part of it was that I was being held down by someone but I couldn’t see who it was. I shake my head trying to rid myself of the dream I had just had. I lay back down now really tired and as I was about to fall back asleep I had this pull in the back of my head telling me someone or something was doing it but I was just too tired to fight this feeling. ‘Yuki don’t go to sleep.’ Yuriko screams.
Sasuke’s pov.
Kakashi-sensei was lecturing me and when he told me to give up revenge all I could think about was that he didn’t know how it felt to lose the person close to him. The moment I said I would kill the person he cared about the most to let him see how it felt a flash of pain and worry goes throw me. I had just threatened to kill the girl I loved without giving it a second thought. Once Kakashi-sensei left me alone I had to think about what he had said before leaving me. “if you think about killing Yuki I will make sure something bad happens to you.” He says. ‘I would never hurt Yuki. How could I have said that without really thinking about her? I need to go see her and ask her to go out for that date because I wanted that one thing before I left. I would even settle for having it when I came back but I can’t lose to that mutt.’ I think but don’t make a move from where I was sitting.
Yuki’s pov.
When I get up it was dark and I didn’t want to be in this hospital any longer. I notice Pakkun sitting on the foot of my bed and he walks over to me when he notices that I was awake. “Hey kid how are you feeling? The doctors had to give you something to help you sleep. Kakashi said not to but they wanted to make sure you were getting the sleep to help your body heal.” Pakkun says as he lays his head in my lap. I give a small sigh before patting his head. “Pakkun I want to go home.” I whisper because I was sure he could hear me. “I know you do kid but Kakashi and the doctors want to make sure your well before that can happen.” Pakkun says. I shake my head before getting out of bed making him fall off on the other side. “I hate it here. I’m going home and you can come with me if you want.” I say and head to the door. I open it and was about half way down the hall when my doctor sees me. He runs over and I step back not wanting to have anything to do with him. I feel a prick in my arm and arms around me as I fall.
I was soon back in my bed and they were tying me down but I couldn’t fight them. What was going on? I watch them put another meddle in my arm before my world starts to go dark. I was pulled into Yuriko’s world and she was walking in front of her tree looking mad. “How dare they keep you there!” she screams and the wind picks up her hair as it changed from gold to a bright red. I walk over to her carefully and the wind dies down as I get closer to her. “Please calm down Yuriko. I love your golden hair and I need you calm so nothing bad happens to the others.” I say. She takes a few deep breaths before her hair goes back to normal. We sit and Yuriko pulls me into a hug and I feel safe with her there around me. “I want you to feel better sooner so you can go home. I have been giving you some of my power but those drugs they have used to make you sleep make it harder for me.” She says. I sigh a little as she plays with my hair because I was getting sleepy.
“When you get up ask to go home. You have a cold not some life treating thing.” Yuriko says before her world starts to fade around me and I open my eyes to see the dark room again. Pakkun was still there and he was asleep on the bed and I give a small sigh. I had this feeling that something bad was about to happen because there was a thickness in the air that was coming from something dangerous. I was a little worried about Sasuke because I hadn’t seen him all day and it’s not like I could walk away to go down to his room right now. I shake my head and close my eyes for a few minutes before opening them again slowly because I felt like I was being watched by someone.
Sasuke’s pov.
I was leaving and I never got my date with Yuki. She was the one person I wanted to know that I was going because I felt so deeply for. She was the only person in this village that could get me to stay if she said she would be mine. I was going to leave because I had to kill my brother and once that was done with I could come back and win over Yuki from that mutt or I could take her with me but I think it would hurt her to much to be away from Kakashi-sensei. I quickly make my way to the hospital and when I get into Yuki’s room her eyes were closed and she looked like she was asleep. I say in the shadows watching her on the off chance that she might wake up as I watch her. ‘How dare they do that to her?’ I think as I notice the restarts on her. “Who’s there?” Yuki asks as she looks around the room. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I missed her waking up. I walk out of the shadows and the worried look on her face melts into a smile. “Sasuke I’m so glad that you’re alright. I went to go see you but when I did they said you were missing and I went to see you again not that long ago but they thought I was trying to leave. I’m just happy you’re looking better.” She says before giving me a smile.
I walk over to her and brush some hair out of her face and get this warm feeling as my skin touches hers. “Yuki I’m sorry we can’t go on that date I wanted. I might be gone for a while and I don’t know when I will be back. Promise me that when I come back we can go out on that date?” I ask as I run my fingers throw her hair. She looks at me with big eyes before they soften and she gives a small sigh. “Sasuke I don’t want to make a promise I might not be able to keep.” She says as tears start to for in her eyes. ‘Why would you say that Yuki you know I love you.’ I think but didn’t let the hurt or anger out. “I love you Yuki. Please just tell me how you feel about me. I need to know before I leave.” I say before leaning closer to her. She blushes and more tears fall as she looks up at me. “I think I love you too. But I can’t tell if it’s puppy love or the real thing. Sasuke we haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together so my feelings for you aren’t as clear as they were when we first met.” She says. My heat skips a beat when she says she loves me too. I couldn’t help it I lean in closer so my lips were hovering over hers. “When I come back I will win you over because of how much I love you.” I say before kissing her.
I didn’t expect her lips to be so soft, warm and smooth or her face under my hands to be so warm and soft. I pull away from her needing to hear her say she loved me. “Sasuke I….” she says but a bag from down the hall stops her and I leave knowing if I stay any longer I might get caught which would ruin my plane. I would have her as my woman soon and nothing not even Kiba or Orochimaru would stop me from getting her. As I was walking I began to regret not untying her and asking her to come with me. If she had then I would let her know every day that I loved her as well as help her become stronger as I did. The only thing that stopped me from taking her was this odd feeling that Orochimaru might hurt or kill her if she was with me and I couldn’t let him take the one thing I loved the most away from me. The only picture I took with me was the only one that I had of just Yuki and myself. She hadn’t been looking when Kakashi-sensei took them and I asked for it because I had mixed feelings for her at the time. This was the one thing that would get me throw all the bad days that were about to happen.
