Dear Diary,

I'm writing in you now because I forgot to write in you this morning before I went to The Cove. But it's all good, I'm here now. I'm such an emotional wreck; I feel like throwing things, breaking glass, punching people, etc. Angry is an understatement for the way I feel right now. This is the type of anger that literally gives you a migraine and gives you this unimaginable power that you thought you never had. My whole body is shaking with the amount of anger I have inside of me. I need to let it out before all hell breaks loose.

I punched the living hell out of the punching bag, my purple gloves roughly making a thumping sound with each hit. When I got back home, I changed into my gym clothes and went to the gym room to release my emotions. All I could think about was the way that bitch hugged Jeremy. Just the thought of her skin touching his drives me insane. The fact that Jeremy didn't push her away upsets me even more and I know she knows that we're together.

We're the power couple of Crystal Beach, who doesn't know about us? Heavy guitar solos filled in my ears as a song from Korn blared into my ears, my punches becoming stronger by the second.

Since the walls were made of mirrors, I can see Melanie walking into the room with two vanilla beans from Starbucks in her hands. I ripped one of the earbuds out of my ear, breathing deeply and stepping back from the punching bag. I swiped my hands out of my boxing gloves, throwing them on the floor.

"What are you doing here?" I breathed, wiping the excess sweat that was dripping from my forehead.

She smiled at me, handing me a vanilla bean. The gesture made my mood a little better so I couldn't help but thank her. "You haven't been answering your phone. You should have seen how fast I rushed over here, I thought you died or something!" She exclaimed dramatically, putting her hand on my shoulder.

I snickered, feeling sweat trail down my chest and face. I only didn't answer my phone because I put it on "Do Not Disturb" mode so all my calls were automatically silenced. We moved to the bench, sitting on the seat to drink our beverages. I grabbed the white towelette that was on the bar, wiping away my sweat.

"But are you okay? I saw the way you were violently abusing your punching bag." She jutted her chin towards the punching bag.

I let out a sigh, stirring the whip cream that was coated on top of the frappuccino. "I saw a girl leaving Jeremy's house."

"What?!" She screamed, nearly choking. She removed the straw from her lips, placing the cup on the floor. Her face slowly turned into a light red color, her eyebrows scrunched together. "We're talking about your Jeremy, right?"

I nodded with my lips formed in a straight line. "She was all up on him! She was hugging and swaying him around, exactly like how I hug him. Like bitch, go find someone that's actually single! The only thing that sorta made me happy was that he barely hugged her back or anything."

"Well if he didn't show any sign of interest, you have nothing to worry about." She shrugged, her face regaining her regular, pale color. "What if she's some puta that threw herself at him?"

Melanie had a point. She could just be another basic slut but it still doesn't explain why he would have her inside his house. I shook my head, holding my cup tightly. "No. If that was the case, Jeremy wouldn't even speak to her in the first place or invite her over."

"Then you need to find out the real case!" She protested, standing up from the hard seat. She stood in front of me, her hands on her hips. "How do you even know about this?"

"I was on the way to his house but stopped a couple of houses down when I saw them both getting out of his house. He didn't see or hear my car either." I confessed, finally taking off my other earbud and wrapping the earphones around my phone after turning off "Do Not Disturb". "But I'm just gonna let it go, I'll figure it out eventually. Besides, if I felt like it was anything serious, I would have jumped out the car and tazed that bitch."

Melanie smirked knowingly, "you would do that. By the way, did you actually go to Chad's house?"

"Well, duh." I scoffed, pulling my damp hair into a high ponytail.

"What happened?" She inquired, bouncing on her feet with her eyes full of curiosity. I let out a huff before pressing my lips together, flickering my gaze to my lap. She stopped bouncing on her feet, her expression dropping to a panicked one. "What did you do?"

"I made him leave town."

"What?!"

"I handed him ten thousand dollars and gave him a week to pack his stuff and leave."

"Handed?!" She repeated in a higher but harsh tone. She let out a dry laugh, waving one of her hands in front of her and shaking her head. "W-Wait a minute," she dryly laughed again, pinching the bridge of her nose. "So you did the rich bitch move and offered him money so he can leave?!"

I bit the inside of the cheek- Melanie's face was tomato red and she started pacing back and fourth, laughing in a stressed manner. I had to do what I did for her own protection and sake.

"Yes, I did the rich bitch move and bribed him. Melanie, I had to! You don't know the next time he'll attempt to force himself on you or anyone else!" I defended, standing up.

"He won't!"

"How do you know that?!" I grabbed her shoulders, shaking her as if that was gonna knock some sense into her. "He can show up anytime, anywhere and try something again! If it wasn't for Jeremy showing up that night, you could've got raped! How can you not think of it that way?"

Melanie shoved my hands away from her shoulders, my arms dropping back to my sides. I was totally taken aback from her actions, my mouth slightly parted open. "No," she shook her head. "He wouldn't do that, he's a sweet guy."

Oh my gosh, I want to flip a table right now. She was being extremely naive, she just doesn't want to acknowledge the truth.  "Stop being so dumb, Melanie! You're way smarter than this! He's nowhere near sweet, he's just a piece of shit that lives in the ghetto and finds it necessary to sexually assault women. You don't know if you're his first victim or not!"

"Go to hell, Violet." She snapped. "Next time, don't do anything and just mind your own damn business!" She grabbed her cup from the ground and stomped out of the room, making sure to slam the door behind her.

I just stood there appalled, rubbing my hands down my face. Out of all these years Melanie and I been friends for, we never got into a fight. She specifically told me that she would never get into a fight with me, especially over a guy and that's exactly what she's doing right now. She may be upset at the moment but she'll thank me in the long run. I took my unfinished vanilla bean and threw it inside the nearby trashcan.

I lost my appetite again.

My cell phone vibrated in my sweatpants, my whole leg buzzing along with it. I fished it out of my pocket to see Jeremy's name flashing on the screen and a picture of him sticking out the middle finger with his tongue out and his eyes shut. I bit the inside of my cheek for the millionth time today, unprepared to pretend like nothing happened.

"Hey," I greeted him when I pressed the phone against my ear. My tone's pitch was higher, you can tell I was faking it. But him being oblivious to almost everything, he didn't even notice.

"Hey you, what are you doing?" He asked cutely. I can hear the smile in his voice through the phone, which never failed to make my heart skip beats.

"I was beating up my punching bag, what about you? How's your morning going so far? What did you do today?" I questioned eagerly, ready for him to come up with a bullshit lie.

He sighed, his breath ripping through the phone. "It was an annoying morning for me."

Gee, I wonder why. I walked around the room, dragging my feet across the marble floors. I stopped in front of the mirrors, staring into my reflection as I spoke to him. "And why's that?"

"Well remember that girl Sadey from sophomore year?"

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. Sadey was some chubby chick that was best friends with him at the time. They're only friends because of their families but I never approved of her, she's damn near in love with him. I remember last year, she texted me from his phone, calling me all these horrible things and even "broke up" with me. I already knew that it wasn't him so when I saw her at school the next day, I didn't even warn her. I punched her straight in her mouth and dragged her all over the floors of South Crystal Beach.

Good times.

"What about her?" I finally responded, a funny smirk tugging on the corner of my lips as the flashbacks went through my head.

"She came over earlier since she switched to SCB or whatever. She wouldn't leave me alone, it was so annoying. Then when she left, she hugged me in this way that completely drove me off the face of the earth. And I don't mean that in a good way." He babbled, his voice drenching with disgust.

So that was Sadey at his house earlier? I see she chopped her hair and finally lost weight. Her hair used to be really long like mine and she was deep in the chubby side. Her neck had like three rolls when I met her and her stomach was out of this world. It was all saggy and consisted of like six love handles. It even poked out of her shirts and bounced around whenever she walked. I shuddered at the thought, horrified.

"So she's back in South Crystal?" I rolled my eyes, but I felt relieved that nothing happened between them. "Is she still in love with you cause if she is, I may have to whoop her ass again if she tries something."

Jeremy laughed, "she might still like me but don't worry, she won't bother us. She told me herself that she's afraid of you."

I combed my fingers through my silky black hair, my lips pursued. My dark red lipstick perfectly outlined my lips, making them appear two times bigger. "A lot of people are afraid of me."

"I'm afraid of you too."

I removed the phone from my ear, staring at the screen with a wrinkled face as if I was looking at him. He already knew I was reacting to it, which is why he started laughing on the line. "Whatever. I'm gonna go shower now so I'll talk to you later, okay?"

"Okay. Don't slip and fall in the shower like last time." He warned before we both laughed loudly as he referred to last week's incident. I woke up late for school and when I got out the shower, I slipped over my own foot and fell out the tub. I brought my shower curtains down to the floor with me and everything when I fell. It was the most hilarious but painful moment ever.

After hanging up, I proceeded to my room and stripped out of my gym clothes on my way to my bathroom, leaving a trail of clothing on the floor. I turned on the shower, allowing the hot water to kick in. I looked into the mirror again, admiring the way my body was progressing.

I was naturally figured like an hourglass, which I inherited from both sides of my family. Slight abs were shown on my stomach, my waist pretty small and my hips wide and curvy along with my lifted booty. My thighs weren't too big or weren't too small, it was right in the middle. Looking at myself after a workout made me feel awesome.

The bathroom steamed up, the mirror so foggy that I couldn't see my reflection. I jumped in the shower, the hot water touching my skin. It was so relaxing to just stand there and let the water roll down your body and through your hair. I would say that it's the highlight of my day, everyday.

After scrubbing my entire body and face with lemon soap and rinsing, I stepped out the shower. I wrapped myself in a white towel, water dripping from the ends of my hair and onto the bathroom's rug. I went to my dresser and put on a pair of red lace undergarments from Victoria's Secret. Abruptly, my door swung open and I squealed, trying to snatch my towel from the bed but it was too late. He already saw me.

Ryder was standing at the doorway with a box of Krispy Kreme donuts in his hand, his jaw dropped to the ground. I gawked back at him, frozen in place. We stood there, staring at each other for a long time until one of us grew the courage to speak.

"Oh shit Violet, I should've--"

"It's okay." I interrupted quickly. I cleared my throat, continuing to wrap the towel around my figure. I turned away from him to grab lotion from the top of my dresser, my wet hair whipping behind me. I could feel his eyes focused on me, holes burning through the back of my head. "So uh, what are you doing here?"

"I brought dessert with a blunt or two."

"Just put it on the table." I mumbled, slightly cranking my head around to face him. While I spoke to him,  my gaze was focused on the box of donuts instead of him since I was embarrassed. He awkwardly rubbed his lips together and walked over to the center of the room to put the donuts on the coffee table. When I attempted to go to my closet, we nearly bumped into each other since he was heading back to the bedroom door to give me privacy.

"Sorry."

"My bad."

We both apologized in unison and when we realized it, we finally looked at each other. I caught his lustful eyes flicker to my lips before they focused on my eyes again. I refrained myself from biting my lip in front of him by letting out a small chuckle.

Awkward.

I want to fuck him now.

Oh god, did I really just--?"

"I"m gonna go change now." I interrupted my thoughts, pointing my thumb at my walk-in closet.

"You do that." He smiled, his dimples showing as his cheeks turned into a slight pink color. When I walked inside the closet, I shut the double doors and pressed my back against the door, letting out a deep breath. Something like that would happen, especially with him.

From one of the racks in my closet, I grabbed a royal blue tank top and denim joggers, quickly throwing it on. I tucked the tank top inside my joggers, since it was high-waisted. I slipped into my spiky blue Jimmy Choo flats that was on a bottom shelf before going back to my room.

Ryder was sitting on the couch, treating himself to a donut. I bolted towards the couch, my footsteps thumping on the carpet floor. He slowly turned his head at me, the donut in his hand suspended midway to his mouth. I jumped on the empty space next to him, landing perfectly on my butt and propping my legs on the coffee table.

"Damn girl! You wet me with your long ass hair, making me feel like I just got rained on!" He exclaimed in a horrible country accent.

I threw my head back with laughter, nudging him on the side of his stomach. "Shut up."

He took a blunt out his pocket, lighting it up in within a couple of seconds. "Don't worry, I already covered the bottom of your door and opened the balcony doors." He informed before putting it in his mouth, taking a hit.

I grabbed the box of the glaze donuts from the table and placed it on my lap. The heat radiating from the bottom of the box felt so good on my lap. I was gonna eat one but then I realized it's better to just wait for the munchies to kick in.

"You wanna know something insane?"

I turned to Ryder with raised eyebrows, signaling for him to continue.

He choked on the smoke in the middle of inhaling it, coughing it all out. After the coughing stopped, he hit the blunt a couple of more times before passing it to me. "I found out that my dead cousin isn't dead."

Wait...dead cousin?

That means...

Danielle and Ryder are related? Can this world get any smaller? I hurried and pressed the blunt to my lips, inhaling a thick blob of smoke.

"Insane right?! But I'm not lying, she's alive."

"Danielle," I confirmed, the smoke huffing out of my mouth as I spoke. He snapped his head to my direction in bewilderment, his eyes bulged out.  "I knew her since I was practically in diapers. That's who I saw at the bonfire."

He threw himself back on the couch dramatically, his back hitting against it and his arms sprawled out. I laughed as he pretended to have fainted before he returned to his normal posture. He pushed his hood off his head, rubbing the snow off his hair. "So that's why you ran off like that."

I nodded as I took a couple of more hits. He let out a disbelieved chuckle, "no way, this is too weird. I need some sort of proof that we're talking about the same Danielle."

"Black-brown hair, almost my height, a little pale, freakishly petite, green eyes?"

"Holy shit, we are talking about the same person." He grabbed the blunt from me, lighting it up some more with his lighter. "Small world. I don't even know the real story yet though."

I put the box of donuts back on the table before bringing my legs up to my chest. I snaked my arms around my knees, flipping my bangs out the way when it kept falling over my eye. Even though I had a clue about Danielle's reason for faking her death, I couldn't tell him.

"Me neither."

"I just don't get it," he coughed, thick smoke coming out of his mouth. "I went to her funeral and everything. If she's alive, then who's dead body was in that coffin?"

I thought back to Danielle's funeral, which was about five years ago. I remember the day perfectly- it was an all white funeral and we all had white flowers so we could drop it on her coffin before they buried her six feet under. I remember all of our childhood friends and family being there, supporting each other through the memorial service. But then...

"Wait a minute," I held up my index finger. "Were you at the funeral?"

"Yeah! It was an all-white funeral."

"I don't remember seeing you there. Are you sure you were there?"

"We were like thirteen at the time and I looked like a completely different person when I was younger. Look, I'll show you." He digged into his pockets and took out his phone. After he scrolled through his gallery, he tapped on a picture and showed it to me.

It was a picture of a younger version of him and his mom, standing in the middle of a living room. Ryder had his arm snaked around his mom's shoulder, his eyes cold and dark. He was wearing a white button up with dress pants and his hair was shaggy and shoulder-length. That's when I recognized him- he was the kid sitting on the opposite row from me in the church.

"I remember now..."

"Yeah," he nodded with a nonchalant smile before setting his phone on the table. "Remember I gave you a red rose before we left the funeral?"

A red rose? I blinked, trying to think back to the funeral. No matter how hard I tried thinking about it, I couldn't remember. "You did?"

He chuckled. "You'll remember eventually."

I stared at him for a couple of seconds before a small laugh escaped my lips. I reached for the box to grab myself a donut since my high was kicking in. While I was chewing on my donut, I couldn't help but to think back to the day of the funeral. Apparently, we did meet before, I find that so ironic. Only if I could remember that day clearly, it all happened too fast.
