You never really were one of those girls who flaunted their bodies in public. Most of it was due to teenage insecurities, which explained why you hadn't worn a bikini until you were sixteen years old. Gareth, your husband, had fixed a lot of your insecurities. He was like your safety blanket and you started to be more open about your body.
You weren't any model. You weren't the standard six foot tall with the sexy stare that seemed to be plastered onto every magazine cover. You found make up annoying to put on and take off, especially if you accidently hopped in the shower with it still on. You weren't a crazy fitness freak but you ate relatively healthy and exercised decently.
So when you got called to model for a photo shoot, you were stunned. Next year would be Euro 2016 and your husband Gareth would be representing Wales in the tournament. To follow in the footsteps of Europe powerhouses like Germany, the Wales publicity team wanted to use the WAGs of the Wales players to help sell the Welsh jerseys.
You had been called up and asked if you wanted to do so. You had told them that you would get back to them later with your decision before putting the phone down. Gareth looked over at you curiously as you put the phone back in the receiver. "Who was that?"
"The Welsh NT publicity people. They asked me if I wanted to model the jerseys at a photoshoot," you explained, sitting next to your husband.
"And what did you tell them?"
"I told them that I'd think about it. I don't know if I will do it, though," you replied.
"Why not? You're the most beautiful woman on this planet, why not flaunt it?" Gareth whispered in your ear. You laughed and smacked his chest lightly. "I'm being serious."
"So you think I should do it?"
"I think you should do whatever you feel comfortable doing. I'm not saying do it or not, it's your life and your body, not mine." You rested your head on his chest for a moment, considering your options.
"I think I'll do it." You called back the publicity people the next day and two weeks later you were walking into some large building in London. You had asked your fellow Welsh WAG, Colleen Ramsey, if she would come with you for moral support. She was currently pregnant and so she was taking a break from modelling, her actual occupation. You hoped her expertise would help you relax.
"Name?" the lady at the front desk asked.
"(Y/N) Bale, I'm here for the photoshoot. And I brought Colleen Ramsey with me, if that's okay."
"It's perfectly okay. They've been expecting you. Sixth floor, room thirteen." You thanked the woman as you and Colleen walked to the elevators. Clicking on the sixth floor button, you waited patiently for the doors to reopen. As they did, you and Colleen made your way to room thirteen. Walking into the room, your eyes widened. A few other girls you slightly recognized were talking in a corner. The door shutting alerted the producer to your presence, who made his way over to you and Colleen.
"Mrs. Bale?" You nodded. "I'm Patrick, I'm in charge of this photoshoot."
"Nice to meet you."
"Now we're going to get you straight to hair and makeup. But first, would you like to model in body paint or jersey?"
"Uh . . . jersey please," you squeaked out. No way in hell were you going to model anything in a bunch on body paint. Patrick nodded and led you over to hair and makeup. You chatted with Colleen as they applied makeup and did your hair. "So how do these things usually go?"
"You're in hair and makeup for however long, depending on the type of shoot, though it's never over an hour. Then they put you in the piece you're modelling and take you over to the photo shoot area. You model in the positions they tell you and you're done within six hours," she shrugged.
"Six hours?" you groaned.
"It shouldn't take that long, it's a simple photoshoot," Colleen replied. They put on some eyeshadow before straightening and moistening your hair. You were finally rushed to the photoshoot area.
"Alright, so you're going to model the home jersey for us. Obviously, you'll be wearing your husband's jersey. After you change, just come back out here and we'll get started." You nodded and walked into the dressing room. You pulled off your clothes and slipped on the Bale jersey and spandex shorts before walking out. "Great. Now just place your feet on those red X's and we'll start."
You walked in front of the white screen and placed your feet where Patrick had instructed you. Following Patrick's later instructions, you arranged yourself in several poses. They even brought a fan in and had you model a few with it blowing at you. "And that's a wrap, thank you very much, (Y/N)," Patrick smiled, shaking your hand. You thanked him before changing and leaving with Colleen.
A few months later, after the photos had become public, you and Gareth were flipping through channels on a rainy day when you stopped at a talk show. "And now for our long awaited segment: Hottest WAGs of Euro 2016." You and Gareth just decided to watch it, both bored out of your minds, expecting familiar faces to pop up along the way. You just didn't think that your face would appear on it.
"And a surprising number two. Up until her photoshoot with the Welsh 2016 jersey, no one had ever known that (Y/N) Bale had quite the body on her." Your mouth fell open as the photos of the photoshoot you had done a few months ago popped up.
"Holy crap," you gasped.
"I told you that you were beautiful," Gareth laughed, pulling you into his arms. The phone rang as the two of you joked around. You picked it up and answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey (Y/N), it's Colleen."
"Hey, what's up?"
"You are. I got a few phone calls from a bunch of modelling companies that wanted to talk to you but didn't know how to contact you. Did you see the photoshoot? Everyone in the modelling world is talking about you!"
"Really? It was just one photoshoot," you laughed.
"I'm being completely serious. Gareth better watch out, the more your pictures are printed, the more people are writing about it on social media, which is mostly along the lines of 'I really want to bang (Y/N) Bale', just so you know."
"Thanks for the warning," you chuckled. You and Colleen said good bye before hanging up. "More people want me to model apparently. And there's a swarm of people on social media who want to 'bang me' according to Colleen."
"Well, I'm the only one who can 'bang you' so they're just going to have to get over it," Gareth called from the other room, causing you to burst out laughing.
A.N. Two more requests to go. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone that wants to request anything. I have made the decision to close requests on August 20th until sometime in March. I know that this is disappointing but school, work, and sports is already taking up all of my time during that time period and I'd like some time to breath.
