"Joe you're so untidy!" Demi exclaimed as she tries to get from the living room into the kitchen but was hard when he had clothes and belongings all over the floor. "You're like a teenage boy!" Joe couldn't help but laugh as he steadied her as she was about to tumble over. They were in Joe's apartment sorting out his belongings so they could take what he wanted back to Dallas to drop off at their new house.
"Well I was near enough a teenager living here at one point." He grinned.
"You haven't lived in here for over a year, I don't want to know what is crawling about." Demi complained letting him lay his hands on her hips.
"Nothing because I cleaned out what would go off, it's just clothes and belongings about I promise." Joe stated Demi nodding her head gently.
"Well what of this do you actually want?" Demi questioned.
"I don't know, we'll have to go through it but we'll sell the furniture and buy some new stuff, most of this is just overused now. They were second hand when I first brought them." Joe stated Demi nodding her head gently.
"Let's start in here, it's probably the cleanest room." Demi sighed knowing this would take a while, Joe did feel bad but it was something that had to be done. She should have noticed with living with him on the bus, she only now realised how messy it was, Joe just throwing his clothes anywhere but she knew he couldn't be perfect.
"I thought you didn't have many girlfriends as you grew up." Demi stated the two of them now in his bedroom. Joe watched as she lifted a bra up off the floor. He couldn't help but laugh taking it from her putting it in the black bin which was about the fourth one they had filled.
"I didn't have girlfriends but a guy has needs." Joe joked Demi shaking her head gently.
"I saw you as the kind of guy who would wait until you knew you loved her not to sleep with some girl for her to leave the next morning." Demi admitted, Joe shrugged his shoulders.
"I've changed since I was younger, I used to drink quite a lot which is probably why there was sex involved. Too many parties after winning championships." Joe explained.
"I guess you football players party hard." Demi grinned Joe laughing.
"I should go find the girl and give her the bra back," Joe joked Demi laughing this time shaking her head gently. "To be fair your better than she was."
"Do you even remember how she was?"
"Not at all." Demi laughed again as they continued to clean the room. Joe wasn't taking a lot of stuff with him, mainly just close possessions that meant a lot to him but the rest he didn't need or used. He would have come back for a lot of it if he thought he would use it. It took about the whole day until the whole apartment was cleaned well enough for Joe to hand the keys back over to the owner and not have to pay anything on top of that.
"You have a messy son." Demi stated as she slumped down on the couch after they arrived back at the Jonas house.
"Trust me, I know my Joseph," Denise spoke Joe rolling his eyes taking a seat next to Demi allowing her to lean her head on his shoulder. "All done though?"
"Yeah just tiring, go lay down Dems, mom will save you some dinner." Joe instructed.
"Of course I will sweetie, you get your energy up." Demi sighed nodding her head before making her way up the stairs.
"I tried to convince her to sit down throughout the day but she was having none of it." Joe stated.
"She's not far along, she still thinks she can do all the things she could do before but obviously not, the poor girl is shattered." Denise cooed at the young girl who was carrying her grandchild. Denise got up kissing his forehead before making her way into the kitchen to make s start on dinner.
