"What is it?" Demi questioned smiling up at him beginning to play with his fingers, Joe couldn't help but smiling watching her. He didn't know why she wouldn't mind him not continuing with the tour, she had been so supportive of everything else so far, she just wanted him to be happy. He honestly didn't know what he wanted to do anymore, he couldn't see himself becoming famous like his girlfriend and brother were but he didn't have any other plans but they had plenty of time to sort that out for him. He wanted to be a father more than anything at the moment, to be there for everything rather than being at work missing it all.
"I don't want to open for you and Nick anymore." Joe revealed Demi looking up at him.
"Why not?" Demi questioned again.
"I don't see myself doing what you do and I think it would be wrong for me to carry on when there is somebody out there who does want to do what you do." Joe explained.
"That's fine Joe but what are you going to do as a living?" Demi asked.
"For now be a father, we'll sort the rest out in the future. I mean your Demi Lovato so I don't think we will need to worry about money on top of my football earnings. I'll start looking for someone to replace me, I'll open for you until then." Joe stated Demi nodding her head.
"We could hold a competition or something for fans to send videos in over the next week then we pick our favourites." Demi suggested.
"That sounds like a plan." Joe grinned making Demi laugh slightly.
"Does Nick know?" Joe nodded his head gently.
"I went to him first about it," Joe answered pecking her lips gently before bringing them down onto the bed and into his arms. Demi smiled closing her eyes enjoying the embrace he has around her. "I love you." He whispered in her ear.
"I love you too Joe." Demi replied kissing his chest as it was all she could get to. Joe knew she would understand him, he just couldn't see himself living that life with a baby on the way tool, he would rather his child have him around then him have a career like he thought he wanted not long ago. Joe pulled away from Demi slightly so they could see each other.
"Can I play you a song later?" Joe questioned Demi smiling nodding her head.
Joe sat down on the piano stool beginning to play the song he had wrote when he had Demi in his mind, it wasn't a song completely about their relationship but he did have his love for Demi in his mind when he wrote the song. He thought of it as a quite emotional song and he knew Demi would have a sob at it, she was that kind of person.
"What's it called?" Demi inquired.
"The Gambler, don't ask why." Joe grinned making Demi laugh. They were at the concert arena for tonight Joe needing a piano to be able to play the song to his girlfriend, he had gotten quite good at piano but still needed some practicing. He had even started taking to the drums wanting to learn how to play them too learning from his brother and videos on YouTube. Demi smiled when Joe opened his mouth beginning to sing.
By the end of the song Demi had tears rolling down her soft cheeks. Joe finished off before looking up at her smiling gently. He got up holding her in his arms, she couldn't help but laugh as she realised that she was crying over a song but it wasn't just any song, it was a song that her boyfriend had wrote and it was deep and meaningful.
"It was a really good song Joe, sweet and meaningful." Demi stated as she pulled away from him allowing him to wipe her tears away.
"I had you in mind while I was writing it, I love you so much Demi and our little squish." Demi smiled leaning up kissing his lips gently before pulling away.
"I love you too Joe and of course our son or daughter." She wrapped her arms back around him.
