OWEN POV:
I thought today would be normal until I saw a baby raptor appear out of no where. I tried to stop the motorcycle and swerve so I don't hit it but I couldn't stop in time and tumbled over the raptor. I quickly got up and ran up to it.
"I am so sorry" I said.
I took off my vest and called the infirmary as I picked up the little baby.
"Hi, I accidently hit a baby raptor with my bike so can you get the first aid kit ready" I said.
I picked up the raptor and walked over to my bike.
"Baby raptor? None of them laid eggs" said a vet.
"I know, but I'm holding a injured baby dino so just be ready when I get there please" I said.
I ended the call and put my phone away before picking up the bike. I made it to the infirmary and gave them the baby raptor.
"Where did she come from" asked a vet.
"I don't know. She was suddenly there and I couldn't get out of the way in time" I said.
"Owen it's not your fault. It was a accident. For now you should just go to work" said a vet.
Which was pretty hard today. I was worried for the little baby. Finally my lunch break rolled around and I was able to go see the little raptor.
"Hey, so, the baby will survive" said a vet.
"Oh thank god" I said.
That's a relief.
"We will keep her here for a while since she is healing from the surgery" said the vet.
"Are you going to leave out how you wanted to kill the baby" asked another vet.
"What" I asked trying to hide my anger.
"The rib cage was broken and one of the ribs punctured the heart but we fixed the problem. She will be okay" said the vet.
"Somehow. He tried to put her down like how you do a dog. After flatlining she lifted her tail and diarrhea all over the table before waking up in pain so we are keeping her on a liquid diet till she is better" said the second vet.
I looked at the first one.
"Stay the hell away from Angel" I said.
I like that name for the raptor.
"Ya well I'm not the one who hit her with a bike" said the vet.
The room grew silent. I punched the vet in the face and a few workers separated us.
"You take that back" I said.
It was a accident. I feel bad enough as it is. I don't need this bitch reminding me.
"Why don't we just check on Angel" said a vet.
I said nothing and followed her to the room that Angel was in. She was in a cage with a IV in her leg.
"It's to help keep her hydrated. It's also been a few hours sense the surgery so you can feed her pig blood if you want" said the vet.
"Okay, where is the bottle" I asked.
The vet helped me prepare a bottle and I put it in threw the cage for Angel to drink. Angel tiredly opened her eyes and sniffed the bottle before drinking from it. This reminds me of when Blue and the others were little. It's a shame that now that they are bigger I can't hold them like I use to but it's for safety reasons. Angel will one day grow up like them and move into the same cage but for now she will stay in the nursey away from guest till she is older.
