I almost had an heartattack when I opened my wattpad to write- this thing showed me only 3 stories!

(Posted 9 chapters)

Liam had rummaged through most of the new books, and he wanted to take most of them home with him but decided to pick only one book full of short stories. At least he would have a reason to return to the town, and the library to see his beloved old friends more often.

Liam hoped Zayn would let him visit more. He understood why Zayn was so scared to venture the woods beyond the fence, but a visit every few months wouldn't hurt.

"Oh look, Liam with a book. What a familiar sight," Baela grinned. "Zayn phoned five minutes ago. He's walking home now with um.." Baela glanced around the large room. Bethan crouched by a low bookshelf full of study books, and Lynx sat at one of the computers playing solitaire. "Zayn got the journal and the papers."

"He did? That's so great!" Liam beamed. Relief flooded him. He had thought constantly about where the journal had got to, and what was in it, and whether the content would be used against them if the journal was in the wrong hands.

"We can read it when we get back. Is Zayn meeting us here?"

"I'm not sure. He'll most likely text to say when he's back."

Liam sat on the couch he lived on when the Town was his home. He used to have a college bag full of homework, or a lap full of other people's homework. Liam didn't miss studying but giving up his A-Levels and missing his exams felt very wrong.

Still, he had no use for grades in a werewolf world.

"Remember when I pretended that I studied Geology, and you let me look through your PowerPoint full of different types of rocks?" Baela mused, plopping herself down next to him.

"Yes. I was so gullible."

"l crafted a believable lie," Baela chuckled. "You were innocent enough to believe I was telling the truth."

"I thought you had no reason to lie" Liam smiled. "I just really wanted friends."

"Bless you. Now you have a full Pack of them, and a boyfriend.

Liam sighed contently. "A boyfriend."

Baela then checked her watch. "Mira said she'd meet us one minute ago. Lynx, can you check if Mira is here."

Lynx had to tear his eyes from the screen. "Yep!" he rushed through the library, smiling awkwardly at the librarians who all watched him leave.

They had asked Liam if these were his university friends. Liam just said they were friends of his boyfriend, which of course, sparked many more questions.

"You used to spend a lot of time in here, didn't you?" Baela trailed the room. She could see why.

The library was warm, bright, homely, and had thousands of books for Liam to indulge himself in every evening. Though Liam spent a lot of time in the library because he didn't want to go home

He used to live with monsters. Now he lived with monsters with a heart.

"This felt like my actual home. Well, until I moved into the Packhouse."

"And you feel like that is truly your home now?"

"Yes, after Zayn's apology, the atmosphere just feels, I don't know, lighter?"

"Yeah, I feel that too. It's like Zayn finally cleared the air. I'm proud of him."

"Me too," Liam agreed. He couldn't wait to see him, and they had only been apart for less than an hour.

They waited a few minutes and Lynx didn't return.

"I hope he's not hitting on Mira," Baela joked.

"I don't think he knows how to talk about anything other than running," Bethan said, sniggering with Baela. "I do smell a new human, though. Should I check?"

"We'll come too."

Liam followed the werewolves from the room. He was nervous to see his old manager, Mira. She had been in such a state when he last saw her; he was scared she would get upset again and yell at him, or cry on him. Liam was awkward in most situations. He didn't do well with being cried on, unless it was Zayn, or a close friend.

Liam hadn't seen Mira since his last unsuccessful visit to the town. Before that, he hadn't seen her for a year and eight months. At least they would have a lot to talk about. They strolled past the entrance desk and through the small study room.

The door was closed which Baela seemed to dislike as she frowned and carefully turned the handle. As soon as daylight peeked in, she slammed it shut immediately.

"What is it?" Liam asked.

"I smell blood. Werewolf blood." Baela gripped Liam's shoulders hard enough for him to wince, but she didn't let him go and dragged him through the library with Bethan on their heels.

"We have to go," she announced bluntly, not stopping to let Liam wave bye to his friends.

"What about Lynx?" Liam asked as the entrance doors slid open.

"I smelt a lot of blood," Bethan whispered, and bumped into the back of Baela when she paused abruptly on the marble steps.

Three people stood on the path below. Liam didn't need to know the people to understand that they meant trouble. Their smiles were odd.

While their lips curled up, their eyes fuelled flames.

"What is happening?" Liam whispered. Baela pushed him behind her and Bethan.

"What do you want?" Baela asked confidently.

"They're werewolves," Bethan murmured to Liam, glancing nervously at the doors behind them.

"We want the boy," one guy said, putting his foot on the first step. "We'll kill your Omega if you don't give him to us."

Baela clenched her fists. "Why do you want Liam?"

"Alpha's orders."

Baela scowled. "Southern Alpha?"

"The Bedlam Alpha." The man took another step.

"Leave now. Give us back our Omega, and you won't get hurt" Baela stood tall. She stared hard, proud to protect Liam and proud to flaunt her status as the Ethdellin Pack Beta.

The man motioned his head and the other two people edged closer. "We won't leave without the boy."

"Then unfortunately, you're not leaving." Baela was one of the best fighters in her human form, and these werewolves were skinny, wore dirty rags, and had clearly barely trained in years. "You're obviously Rogues. You won't win."

"We're not Rogues!" he snapped. He had several missing teeth and dirt across his chin. "We are members of the Bedlam Pack!"

"You were right, Liam," Baela mumbled. "They recruited Rogues to spy."

Liam only had eyes for the empty road. If he had to run, he knew where he was going. But then he saw Mira walking down the street, clutching a bag with her head down to avoid the wind.

"Oh no," he breathed. "She can't come here now! She'll get hurt!"

Baela saw her too and tensed. "Leave now. Authorities will hear about this."

"And what? Tell us to move on?" the Rogue spat on the step. "Give us the boy."

"No!" Baela roared, and Mira stopped. She stared at the men on the road, then to Liam, Baela, and Bethan at the top of the steps.

"Bethan," Baela mumbled. "Do what you have to do, even if humans see."

Bethan's claws protruded from her fingernails. Her eyes swirled bright and unnatural as her wolf surfaced. When she neared the edge of the steps, the Rogues backed away. There were three of them, and one of Bethan, but Bethan was healthy and strong and trained six days a week. She crouched and shifted into a large grey wolf with snarling teeth.

Liam eyed Mira, who froze on the spot, watching the wolf edge down the steps. Bethan growled deeply and the Rogues sprinted onto the road.

Two humans had paused further down the street and pointed. Baela only had eyes for the open road too, and a safe path for Liam. She grabbed his wrist and hurried down the stairs towards Mira.

The Rogues didn't dare to cross Bethan's path, so Baela and Liam made a smooth exit.

"Don't look!" Liam said to Mira and pulled on her bag. Baela wasn't stopping for anyone, but Mira followed silently, staring down at Liam as though he was a ghost.

Baela soon broke into a jog and Mira struggled to keep up. Just like the last time Liam had seen her, she was sickly, worryingly skinny, and very gaunt looking like she never slept.

"There... there was a wolf back there!" Mira breathed as they slowed down at the edge of the forest.

"Yeah." Liam awkwardly tugged on his sleeves. "Um, Mira... uh-" She looked at him so intensely, Liam felt a little weird.

"What was going on back there?" she questioned, her eyes widening as she pointed towards the town.

Liam expected a hug or a nice greeting, though she had just watched Bethan turn into a werewolf. Liam had freaked out when he first saw Zayn shift.

"It's okay," he reassured her. "We just have to leave the Town for a few hours."

"What will that wolf do to those men?" she asked, not moving, even though Liam pulled on her arm.

"Nothing, if they run away."

"They won't."

Liam looked to Baela who was staring oddly at Mira.

"She saw Bethan shift. She's in shock." Baela nodded and shielded Mira's view of the town by standing in front of her. "We need to move. I know what you saw was disturbing, but for our safety, we have to keep going."

Mira's tired eyes stared past Baela, but she nodded, and moved this time when Liam tugged on her sleeve.

They walked through the woods, stopping every minute to check behind them for Rogues. Baela kept hurrying them when Mira slowed down. She didn't know if Lynx was okay, or if Bethan was winning against the Rogues or running from crazed locals of the Town. All Baela cared about was Liam's safety, and they were leaving the danger behind them.

Her phone rang when they were almost a mile from town and a mile closer to the Packhouse. She saw that it was Zayn and fell behind Liam and Mira to answer.

"Baela!" Zayn yelled the moment she picked up. "Where are you?"

"Did the sensors pick up the Rogues?" She asked quietly as Liam tried to talk to Mira who still clutched her bag.

"Rogues? No? I read the last page of Dad's journal. You'll never fucking believe what I said. Who are you with? You have to come back right now."

"We're in the woods. Zayn, Rogues tried to attack us in the town, they wanted Liam. We got away with Mira. Bethan is chasing them off, and I don't know if Lynx' okay." Baela kept her tone quiet, and calm.

She didn't want to freak Liam out, not when he needed a clear head in case they had to run again.

"You're with Mira?" Zayn's tone sent shivers up the back of her arms. His tone was low and urgent.

"Yes?"

"Baela, get Liam, and get away from he. I read Dad's journal and it said that Jaiden was the real Southern Alpha, and Mira was his mate."

The phone separated from Baela's ear when all she heard was high pitched ringing.

"There's no way," she whispered, staring at the back of Mira's head.

"It was the last thing Dad wrote in his journal before he died... Baela, are you still there?"

"Yes," she whispered. Mira was Liam's friend. She had been his friend before Liam met Zayn. The shock was enough to dry her throat and water the corner of her eyes.

"I'm sending Omegas to you," Zayn growled.

Baela could hear him barking orders at werewolves. He breathed hard down the phone as though he was rushing too. "Get Liam," Zayn yelled to Baela, "and run!"

Ok a little story time-

Right so this afternoon we -my brother, my neighbour and I- were at this store and it was raining cats and dogs here and since we went by car so none of us bought umbrella so we were just waiting for the rain to stop so that we can go to the car as it was in the parking area while we sat by the entrance of the store! And this girl out of nowhere started flirting with my brother and Lmao- my brother looked dead at her and said "I am gay" and the look on the girl had- I can't stop laughing even when I think about it. And when my brother said this my neighbour held his "I am fucking proud of you"  face for a few seconds and all this while I was controlling myself from laughing like a maniac my neighbour was laughing so hard that he looked like he was having a seizure.
