"Brian, who am I going to stay with?" Asked Milly "while your working?"
Brian ran a hand through his hair, he hadn't though about that.
"What about Mia?" Milly suggested, Brian sighed, he hadn't spoken to her since Jesse was killed, he'd let Dom go, and the truth about him being a cop had come out. and they didn't end on the best of terms. But Mia did say she'd watch her anytime.
"I'll ring her, once I've put you to bed." Brian said but he didn't like his chances, she was in LA, they were in Miami.

Brian had put Milly to bed and took a deep breath as he dialled Mia's number, waiting for her to answer.
"Brian?" Mia's voice answered, she sounded surprised and unimpressed.
"How are you." Brian asked
"Fine." Mia muttered "how can I help you?"
Brian sighed "I know this is out of the blue, but I'm going to need a sitter for Milly, for a few days at the most." He told her "she asked for you."
This time it was Mia's turn to sigh. "I can watch her." Mia agreed "I'm assuming your still in Miami, I've seen the news."
"Yeah, I'm still in Miami." Brian tells her
"Look, I'll fly to you guys." Mia tells him "it'll be better for Mils to be in her own house, I'll try and be there tomorrow afternoon."
"Thank you Mia." Brian says "I better let you go."
"I'll see you soon." Mia said, although I'm she didn't sound very impressed about it
"Mia, it was nice talking to you." Brian says
"Yeah." Mia agrees, before hanging up.
Brian sighed as he stood up, walking into Milly's bed room.
"He Milly moo, are you still awake?" He asked gently
"Yeah." She said sitting up "you only just put me to bed like 5 minutes ago." She smiled "did you ring Mia?"
Brian nodded "yeah, she's going to come here."
"When's she coming." Asked Milly
"Tomorrow." Brian says kissing her forehead. "Try get some sleep."
"Night Brian." Milly said "love you."
"Love you to baby."

Brian and Milly were eating pizza for there dinner, Mia had landed and was on her way to there house. Brian started working tomorrow, but had to leave early to meet up with Roman and Monica.
"Who left you in charged of a kid?" Mia couldn't help but chuckle, as she walked into the house. Brian and Milly were sitting on the couch in the living room, Brian's old Nintendo NES set up, as they played super Mario Bros, Left over Pizza discarded on the coffee table in front of them, Milly's doll and all her clothes strewn across the floor.
"Mia!" Milly exclaimed running over to her
"Do people not knock these day?" Brian couldn't help but comment.
"Nice to see you too." Mia said "and for the record I knocked and no one answered, you were to busy playing video games."
"Do you want some Pizza?" Milly asked, "Me and Brian made it." She added proudly, Mia couldn't help but smile, the amount of love she had for Brian was so sweet.
"No thank baby, I ate before my flight." Mia smiled
"Can I get you anything?" Brian asked
"No thanks." Mia said
"Why don't you take a shower Mils?" Brian suggested
"I want a bath." She said
"I'll help her." Mia said, she didn't really want to talk to Brian, she followed Milly out the room, leaving Brian in the living room.

Once Milly had had her bath, Brian put her to bed, Mia joining them, standing at the door.
"Are you going to be here in the morning?" Milly asked
"No, you'll still be asleep when I leave." Brian said "but Mia will take good care of you."
"Yeah." Mia agreed "will have loads of fun."
"Ok." Milly seemed satisfied with this answer, "night."
"Night Mils." Brian kissed her head
"Night Milly." Mia says
"Aren't you gonna give my a kiss?" The 5 year questioned
"Sorry." Mia said walking over, kissing her head.
"You better get use to it." Milly adds "Brian puts me to bed each night."

"Morning." Mia smiled, as Milly walked into the kitchen.
"Morning Mia." Milly said "did you and Brian talk last night?"
"About what?" Mia asked, this 5 year old was far to smart.
"About him being a cop, letting Dom go, you and him..." Milly rattled off, like it was obvious.
"No." Mia said "I was pretty tired after my flight, I went to bed pretty much after you."
"Oh." Milly said "You know Mia, Brian actually did like you, even is your sandwiches weren't great. he always talked about you on the road.'
"So did I." Mia said sadly "but he lied."
"It's part of the job." Milly said "everything he said about you was true though."
"Do you want some breakfast?" Asked Mia changing the subject.
"Sure." Milly said knowing exactly what Mia was doing.
"Where do you keep the cereal?" Mia asked
"I'll get it." Milly said opening up the cupboard grabbing out a packet of corn flakes, and putting them into a bowl.
"Do you need a hand?" Asked Mia, as Milly stood up on her tip ties trying to unscrew the milk lid, Mia could just tell know she was going to spill it.
"Yes please." Milly said stepping back to let Mia pour it.
"What do you want to do today?" Asked Mia
"I don't know." Milly thought "we could play some board games, or go to the playground." She suggested
"Sure." Mia agreed.
"Or..." Milly paused as she took a mouthful of cereal "we could play super Mario bros, me and Brian are really good at it, but you might be better." Milly asked
"I don't really play video games, so I don't think I'll be better than Brian."
"You never know." She shrugged
"What board games do you have?" Asked Mia
"Uh, we have a few." Milly said "like mouse trap, trouble and connect four, or hungry hippos, that's my favourite."
"Well how about you finish your breakfast and get dressed so we can start?" Mia suggested
"Ok." Milly agreed turning her attention back to her bowl.

They walked to the playground first, which was only a 15 minute walk down the road, and then walked into town into a little shop to eat lunch.
"Thanks for lunch Mia." Milly said as the waitress placed there food in front of them.
"Your welcome Milly." Mia smiled, this kid Mia thought to herself, she was so well mannered and caring, Brian really had brought her up well.
"Can we play hungry hippos when we get home?" Milly asked taking a bite of her lunch.
"Sure." Mia replied "I bet I can beat you." She added jokingly
"I don't know, I always beat Brian." Milly smiled.

That afternoon Mia and Milly played the Nintendo and board games, Milly not loosing a game of hungry hippos, Mia sat and watched as Milly played with her baby dolls and they drew with chalk in the driveway.
After dinner Milly was yawning and definitely ready for bed.
"Do you want to go to bed Mils?" Mia asked
"Not yet." She said
"How about we watch a movie?" Mia suggested then
"Can I pick?" Asked Milly
"Of course." Mia said, as Milly jumped up pulling out the dvd box.
"Have you watched finding Nemo?" Asked Milly,
"I don't think so." Mia said, she hadn't watched kids movies in a fair while.
"It's about a little fish that gets lost." Milly explained sliding it into the dvd player, before sitting back down on the couch besides Mia. "And there's a really cute turtle." She adds, it doesn't take long for Milly to fall asleep on Mia. but Mia allowed herself to watch the rest of the Movie, before taking Milly to her bed.

Two days had passed since Brian had left. Mia and Milly had been keeping busy, especially since it was holidays and Mia didn't have pre-school.
"You ok Mils?" Mia asked who was just staring at her dinner plate. She'd said nothing just kept staring at her food. They'd been sitting down for 10 minutes, and Milly hadn't touched her food, it's like she had forgotten how to use her knife and fork.
"Milly?" She asked again
"Yeah." Milly asked, not looking at her
"You alright." Mia asked
"I'm just tired." Said Milly, "you can leave if you want, you don't have to wait for me."
"I'll start washing up." Said Mia, the kitchen and dining room were joined, so she could still keep an eye on her.
"What would you like to do tomorrow?" Mia asked as she filled the sink, Milly didn't answer again.
"Are you feeling ok?" Mia asked, coming to sit down next to her, reaching to feel her head.
"My chest hurts." She admits
"Your a bit warm." Mia tells her, "do you want your dinner or do you want to take a shower?"
"I'll take a shower." Milly said, still not moving, it was like she had completely forgotten how to do things.
"How about a nice warm bath?" She suggested, Milly nodded a single time. As Mia placed her plate on the sink.
"Come on then." She said picking her up, once they were in the bathroom. Mia placed Milly down on the sink and ran a bath.
"Are you sure your alright?" Mia asked her
"Yeah, I think I'm just getting a cold." Milly answered. Once the bath was filled Milly undressed and climbed in, she lay down resting her head against the edge, he eye opening and closing as she tried to stay wake.
"I might stay, in case you fall asleep." Mia said to Milly, who nodded agreeing, Milly just lay in the bath listening to Mia talk as she tried to keep her awake, Milly occasionally talking back.
Once Milly was done her bath, Mia put her to bed and she was asleep as soon as he head hit the pillow.

The next morning Milly was still asleep at 9:30, Mia had been in her room to check on her a few times, and she seemed fine, apart from breathing heavier over than normal. When Mia went back in there for the fourth time, she was awake, but huffing and puffing like she'd just been running around, and would hardly open her eyes.
"Mils, are you alright?" Mia asked gently helping her to sit up.
"Yeah." She mumbled quietly she didn't even bother to open her eyes.
That was enough for Mia to start worrying, and next thing you know there walking into the hospital, Milly was taken straight to a room and put onto oxygen. Where a doctor came in to check on her.
"Are you her mother?" The doctor asked
"Uh, no." Mia said, who was sitting besides Milly on the hospital bed. "I'm friends with her brother." Even though Milly was completely out of it, she managed to give Mia a funny look, they were definitely not friends.
"Well, it just looks like a bad cold." He explained "she's just struggling to get oxygen, we'll keep her on the oxygen for a few hours, but after that you should be able to go home." The doctor explained.
Mia thanked the doctor, and he left, saying he'll be back in a hour or so to check on Milly.
"Can I get you anything?" Asked Mia
"I want Brian." Milly said, she was definitely starting to perk up, since being on the oxygen.
"I know, but he's working." Mia said
"I know." Milly sighed "but I don't understand why, he's not a cop anymore."
"I know baby". Mia said "but if he doesn't do this he's going to have to go to jail."
Milly sighed heavily, as she moved the oxygen mask around on her face.
"Can I take this off?" She questioned
"You've got to keep it on Mils." Mia told her "it'll help you breathe easily."
"But I can breathe fine now." She said
"I know you can, but this morning you were breathing like you'd just been running around."
"But I was only sleeping." She said clearly confused
"That's why you need to keep it on." Mia said "because your body was working so hard to keep you breathing."
"Oh." Milly said "can you ring Brian?"
"Ok." Mia agreed taking her phone out her pocket, to call him. It rang a few times, before he answered.
"Mia." Brian's voice answers "how are you?"
"Uh, Milly's in the hospital..." Mia began
"Is she ok?" Brian demanded
"Yeah, yeah." Mia reassured "she was just having trouble getting oxygen, they think she'll be ok to go home this afternoon."
Brian sighed "I won't be able to come in this morning, but maybe tonight, I'll see if I can come and see her, what hospital are you in?" He asked, unaware that Carter was listening to him.
"Cleveland." Mia told him "We didn't think you'd be able to come. don't stress if you can't."
"Can I talk to him?" Milly asked, Mia
Nodded and handed her the phone, before pulling her oxygen mask of her face, she knew Brian wouldn't be able to hear what she was saying, Mia could hardly make out what she said, when she was sitting right next to her.
"Hi Brian." Milly said
"Hey baby." Brian said back "how are you feeling?"
"Better." Milly said "don't worry if you can't come, Mia's looking after me."
"I'll try and get there baby." Brian reassured "I better go alright."
"Ok." Milly agreed "love you."
"Love you too." Brian said "see you Mia."
"Bye Brian." Mia said, before hanging up. Mia pulled the mask back onto Milly's face.
"Do you need a drink or anything?" Asked Mia
"Maybe some water." Said Milly
"I'll go get you some." Said Mia, standing up "I'll be back in a minute."
Mia returned quickly with a glass of water, which she gave to Milly, the same doctor behind her. Milly took a large gulp of the water, finishing the glass.
"How are we feeling?" The doctor asked her
"A lot better." Milly said, as the doctor put his stethoscope on Milly's chest to listen to her heart beat.
"Is she alright?" Asked Mia, the doctor nodded
"I think she's good to go home." He tells them both, nobody noticed Carter Verone walk down the hallway, pausing in the doorway, before turning around, even if they had. They'd have no idea who he was.
"Do we need to do anything at home?" Asked Mia
"No." The doctor said turning of the oxygen and removing the mask, "she should be alright, I don't recommend her running around though. but if she gets worse you will need to bring her back in, she might have to stay over night."
"I don't want to stay over night." Milly said, a hint of fear in her voice.
"If you have to I'll stay with you don't worry." Mia reassured, Milly breathed out a sigh of relief.
"I thought I'd have to stay by myself." She admitted
"Of course not." the doctor said, turning to Mia, "can I have you come with me to sign her discharged paper?"
Mia nodded, "of course, I'll be back in a minute." Mia reassured, although that wasn't going to happen, the hospital was rather busy, and people lined up at the reception to talk to someone.
Milly looked around as she sat in her bed, wondering what was taking her so long. Next thing Carter walked in to her room.
"I've come to take you home." Carter states
"Who are you?" She asked
"I'm your brother." Carter said, cautiously having no idea who could over here them. "I've come to take you home."
"Your not Brian." Milly said.
"Listen to me." He said sternly but quietly, "you say one wrong thing I kill you and your brother." He stood back and rubbed her shoulder as a nurse walked in,
"Brian's come to get you." The nurse said "are you ready to go?"
"Where's Mia gone." Milly asked
"She signing your papers." Carter said "now come on let's get you home." He picked up the girl, and whispered quietly in her ear.
"Remember I will kill you."
Milly decided to just behave, if she kicked up a fuss, Brian could end up dead and it'd be all her fault.
