Rayas Pov
Alex really didn't like the idea of me spending money on her. Like she hated it, I really dont understand why.
In the end I ended up buying her some black jeans and a black long sleeve to go under a tan shirt with writing. I also bought her some new white shoes.
When I went to pay for it I made her wait outside since I knew he would try to stop me after seeing the price.
When I came out the first thing she asked was 'how much was it'
"You don't have to worry about it" I said.
I'll pay you back as soon as I get the money
I handed her the outfit. "Don't worry about it, seriously" I tell her.
She had a worried look on her face.
"Let's go back to my place to get ready" i changed the subject.
My jaw was dropped when she came out of the bathroom with the outfit on. She looked completely different. Her hair was down, which I had only seen once but this time it was different.
Is it bad her arms were crossed over stomach and she was staring at the floor.
"What? Not at all, you look stunning" I complimented. Even after the reassurance she seemed hesitant.
"I'm gonna get changed and di my makeup" I informed her.
She simply nodded and sat at the edge of my bed.
I know that it doesn't start for another few hours but it's still something to do.
I'm thinking I'm gonna wear my jeans with a white crop top. I'm also gonna bring a sweater I it gets cold.
I'm also gonna do two small braids on either side of my head.
"Hey Alex, do you want me to do your makeup as well?"
I don't really wear makeup
"Pleaseeeee" I begged "at least some eye makeup"
She gave up and nodded which I did a little happy dance. I went to the bathroom to get some eyeliner and mascara.
"Ok close your eyes" I instructed. Rhats when I got up and put my legs on either side of her. Straddling her. Her eyes instantly open and she looked at me wide-eyed.
"What?" I asked. She looked down and I realized what I was actually doing.
I just shrugged it off. "How am I supposed to do your makeup if your eyes are open"
Alex nodded slowly. I didn't miss the blush that was spread across her face.
My tongue hung out of the corner of my mouth as I focused on the beautiful girl in front of me.
"Ok I'm done, want some lip gloss?" I asked, still sitting on the older girls lap.
She just nodded. Eyes still closed.
I giggled.
"You can open your eyes now" I smuggly said.
She did as I said and we instantly made eye contact. My breath hitched as I stared into her beautiful light brown eyes that had bags under them. I also could swear that there was a faint bruise around her eye but she was quick to look away.
I think you can get off my lap now?
She typed on her phone instead of using a pen and paper.
Oh right.
As I got off I felt that I didn't want to.. but I also wanted to respect her boundaries so I did.
I couldn't help but stare at her lips as she applied the lip gloss.
Alex tapped her lips and played with her hair in the mirror.
She has the cutest smile painted on her face. This might have been the first time I've seen her genuinely smile.
As she looked at herself in the mirror I secretly took a photo of her on my phone.
it's not creepy, I'll show it to her later. Probably.
I never asked, who's house is it at?
"I'm.. not actually sure, I think it's one of Chats friends"
Alex nodded.
"We should probably get going, Chat Said that he'd leave us here if we took to long."
Once again she nodded.
~Alex's Pov~
On the car ride over to this house i felt my legs shaking. I know Raya noticed but she didn't say anything.
I'm not sure what I'm more anxious about, he fact that I'm in this car or the party itself.
Yes, I know I was in a car for a few hours a couple weeks ago but it's different. It was a better vibe, like nothing in the world could hurt us.
We were driving near the country side so there was no traffic and almost no cars, but now it was more of a quiet vibe and we were in town.
I'm probably being dramatic.
I was ripped out of my thoughts when I felt a light tap on my shoulder. By reflex I jump.
"We're here, do you wanna go straight in or wait for a few minutes?"
I pointed at the door, the sooner I go in the sooner I can leave, how long are we gonna be here anyway?
Raya then took my hand and we walked through the doors.
The smell of beer and sweat filled my nose and shitty music plays on the speakers. I want to leave already but I don't wanna bother Raya or Chat.
"Let's go get a drink" Raya shouted over the music. She drinks?
When we got the the kitchen she grabbed two beers. "Here" she tried handing me the beer.
I shook my head.
"Awww, to much of a pussy to have one drink" I heard Natalie's voice. When I turned I saw James had his arm around her waist.
"You know I wouldn't either if my fa-" thats when I shoved him. He's going way to far.
"What the fuck?" He yelled. I was breathing heavily. I really don't want her to know yet. She'll probably leave, I want to enjoy having a friend a little longer.
When James stood up he got up in my face.
"What? You don't want you little girlfriend that your family is fucked"
I punch him in the face.
Oh my god I punched him in the face.
He held his nose and blood started pouring.
"Let's go" Raya took my arm but then James grabbed my other.
That's when Natalie jumped in. With a cup of some kind of achohol.
"James let her go" she said, which he did.
"If you drink this we'll leave you alone" her famous evil grin grew.
I wasn't stupid.
I know that they probably did something to it.
"No way in fuck she is drinking that" Raya stood up for me.
"Let her speak"
I felt my breathing start to quicken. The loud music and flashing lights were the only thing that I could pay attention to.
I shook my head.
"Ugh, are that much of a pussy??" She scoffed.
I just looked at her, my word still spinning a little.
"Your such a bitch" that's when she poured the drink over my head, some got in my eyes and it stung. Hissing, I rubbed My eyes.
"C'mon Alex" Rayas comforting voice guided me through the crowd. Soon we were in a bathroom.
"Stay here" she said.
When she left I splashed water in my face.
I also took off my both shirts since they were soaked.
That's when I looked at myself.
I was covered in cuts and bruises. My biggest scar was on my side, which was caused in the accident.
My eyes then met my arms. New and old cuts were littered all over my skin.
I'm weak.
I'm useless.
I'm simply just a waste of space.
"Alex?"
