Hey!! So I asked for requests for this book and manifestthatshit requested this idea :)
Me and Sarah have been friends since elementary. We always hung out but the downside of hanging out at her house, was her douche bag brother.
He was always saying something rude, being annoying or teasing me in some way. Although, as much as I hate to admit it if I'm ever in a bad situation he would be the one to fix it.
Tonight, me and Sarah were going to a party. Currently we were in her room getting ready.
"If you're driving how are you gonna drink? I thought we were getting drunk tonight." I said. "Shit." She said. "Yeah, shit." I said.
"Well.. I know Rafe's going.. ask him to take us, and be the DD." She said. "Are you kidding why do I have to ask he's your brother. Also Rafe Cameron being the DD seems like a joke to me." I said.
"Y/n come on! You know if I ask he would laugh in my face." She said. "What makes you think he wont laugh in my face?!" I said.
"He's so whipped Y/n, he'd literally kiss the floor you walk on." She said. "That doesn't even make any sense he doesn't like me.. like at all not even in a friend way!" I said.
"Think whatever you want babe, just go ask!" She said. "No! Sarah you ask!" She said. "Ill let you wear my new shoes if you ask." She said. "Fine!!" I said.
She clapped her hands as I left her bedroom, walking down the hall to Rafe's bedroom.
I nervously knocked on his bedroom door. "Come in." He said.
I opened the door, trying to not stare as he was was only in sweatpants, shaving in his on suite bathroom.
He turned to see who was coming in, "Y/n? What are you doing in my room?" He asked. "Hi Rafe... you coming the party tonight?" I asked. "Yeah." He spoke blankly.
"So... well I was wondering if maybe you would drive me and Sarah. Y'know be the DD?" I said. "Hell no. Im not going to stand around I'm going for free beer." He said.
"Come on please?" I said. "No, be your own friken DD." He rolled his eyes.
"Okay.. okay fine I'll just ask Dean." I said. I didn't know a Dean. "Dean? Who's Dean?" He asked. "My friend." I shrugged.
"Dont call fucking Dean I'll be the DD." He rolled his eyes. "Really? You don't have to." I spoke. "Yeah, whatever now get out." He said. "Thanks Rafe." I grinned as I left the room.

We were at the party and it was going great. Me and Sarah were both drinking while Rafe.. Rafe wasn't.
I felt kind of bad for making him stay sober but he was always such an ass to me I didn't really care.
I was sitting on a couch beside Sarah, sipping a red solo cup when Rafe walked over. "Cute dress Y/n." He spoke sarcastically.
I was wearing a light pink sundress and I guess it wasn't very party wear but I really liked it and his comment totally made me change my mind. "You don't like it?" I said.
"Its.. fun." He said. "Shut up Rafe, go back to standing in the corner like a loser." Sarah threw her empty cup at him.
He stuck his middle finger up at her before walking away to another room.
"Do not listen to him that dress is so pretty." She said. "Thanks Sarah." I gave her a smile, even though now, all I wanted to do was change.
After awhile, me and Sarah we're currently talking in a group with some of our other friends. "I'm gonna go get a refill" I smiled before walking away.
I walked to the kitchen and saw Rafe, talking to Kelce. I walked over to the table and started to fill my cup with a white claw.
I guess this cuaght Rafe's eye as he spoke up. "Isn't that like your 4th drink in the hour? Slow down, sweetheart." He said teasingly.
"What are you counting my drinks? Plus its only a white claw." I said.
"I saw you taking tequila earlier. I just don't wanna have to carry your ass inside." He said. "Yeah, yeah." I said before walking away.
On the way back to the group, someone was walking and accidentally pushed me in to some guy, making my drink spill on to his shoes.
"M'so sorry." I said. "Watch yourself, Y/n, God these are expensive!" He yelled. "I'm sorry I got pushed in to you." I said.
"Maybe watch your balance!" He said. Before I could speak, Rafe was walking over, already yelling. "Maybe watch your tone." He said, God how did he always appear out of no where when I was in these situations.
"Excuse me?" The guy laughed. "She got pushed into you and instead of asking if she's okay you yell about your fucken' airforces that barely have anything on them." Rafe says.
"Rafe it's fine." I said. "Yeah, Rafe, it's fine." The guys said mockingly. I saw Rafe going to push the guy but stopped him. "Actually stop." I said.
The other guy laughed walking away. "What was that?!" I said. "What?!" He said. "I cant handle things myself Rafe." I said.
"A simple thank you, would've been cool." He rolled his eyes. "You're so annoying!" I said as I walked away, back to my group my friends.

As one of the girls talked about something, I started feeling bad about what I said to Rafe.
He was only helping and who knows if I could of even handled that myself. He was always there when I needed him and I never once appreciated it.
"Ill be back." I whispered to Sarah to not interrupt Marissas story before walking away.
I looked for Rafe, searching and searching and I couldn't find him anywhere.
I did spot his friends, Kelce and Topper. "Hey.. do you guys know where Rafe went?" I asked. "I think he went home." Said Kelce.
"Home? He was my ride?" I said. They shrugged. "You want us to call him?" Topper asked. "No.. no it's okay I can call.. thanks." I spoke as I walked away.
I walked outside of the house for some quiet so I can hear him but end up seeing Rafes truck, parked, him in the drivers seat just sitting.
"What the hell." I mumbled as I walked over.
I knocked on his car door and he rolled down the window so I could speak.
"What are you doing out here? I've been looking all over for you." I said. "Waiting for you 'n Sarah." He said, as if it was obvious.
"Why are you sitting in your hair, all alone?" I asked. "It's boring in there, all I was doing was sitting, I'd rather sit in my car, plus I'm fucking tired I gotta be up early tomorrow." He said.
"You could of said, we could of went home." I said. "I figured I'd let you have fun." He shrugged.
"Okay, well drinking and snorting shit is not all Rafe Cameron does, you didn't wanna find some girl to hook up with?" I said. He shook his head, "Nah." He said.
"Rafe I-I'm sorry for getting mad. I know you were helping and I'm super grateful for you always being there for me it-it's just hard to thank you when you're the one always making me upset. It's like one minute you make me cry and the next your about to kill someone for saying something rude to me." I said.
"Y/n- I-I didn't know I made you cry." He said. "Forget I said that." I said. "No, I-Im sorry, I.. I thought the little jokes I made just pissed you off I didn't know they actually upset you." He said.
"Rafe of course it upsets me when you tell me something Ive been working on all day is stupid, or my dress looks dumb I mean I-I care what you think." I said.
"You care what I think?" He said, surprised. "Of course I do! Ever since we were little. When me and Sarah were 8 and you were her cool older brother that was always too fucking cool to hangout with us." I said.
He sighed, opening the car door and stepping out to pull my body in to his hugging me. "What the hell are you doing?" I mumbled in to his chest as I closed my eyes and hugged him back.
"Yeah maybe when I was 10 I thought I was too cool to hang out with you guys but now, I'd do anything for a chance to just talk to you. I get so frikin' happy when I hear that knock on my door because I know it's you, I know you're little knock you always do." He said.
"I-I don't even know what you're trying to say because I think we're trying to say very different thing so I-Im just ganna say what I wanna say and If you dont like it you can tell me to go and I'll leave but I-I've always li-" Its like he could tell what I was going to say because he cupped my cheeks and pressed his lips against mine.
"You don't know how bad I've wanted you to say that." He said. "You didn't even let me say it." I said, a smile spreading across my face.
"Oh please do, go ahead and say it." He grinned. "No" A blush creeped across my cheeks as I hid my face in his chest.
"Come on don't get all shy on me, say it angel." He grinned. "Stop it, you say it." I said, trying to hide my smile.
"I would gladly say how bad I've been dying to tell you I wanted to be with you. I like you Y/n, I always have. Why the fuck do you think I'm always there protecting you from assholes" He said. I pulled his neck down towards me, kissing him once more.
