(To start this final Chapter, we continue atop the Crystal Island, where Lloyd, Crystal, Garmadon, and Harumi are fighting the Overlord.)
Harumi: Ugh, how do we take him down?!
Crystal: (Creating an orb of Light.) Still thinking!
Lloyd: Get down!
Garmadon: (They all duck from the Overlord's blast. He flies beside the others) Perhaps submission is our only option-
Lloyd: No! No surrender! (He looks up and points.) Stop him! Don't let him reach the crystal!
(Harumi tries to strike the Overlord with her sword but the latter throws her into his throne. Crystal and Lloyd do Spinjitzu and lunge for the Overlord only for him to hurl them away. Garmadon watches the two before flying up and firing his Destruction at the King.)
Lloyd: (He gets up grunting, seeing the battle.) Ugh, he's completely invincible.
Crystal: Uh, Lloyd-
Lloyd: My father's powers aren't doing much, and we can't contact the others.
Crystal: Lloyd-
Lloyd: (He puts his hands on his head.) We don't even know what's even going on down there?! What do we- (He turns around and freezes.)
"Cr-Crystal...?"
Crystal: (Sitting on the ground...) Don't panic. (With pink crystals growing on her legs.)
Lloyd: Don't panic- what do you mean don't panic?! (He runs up to her and watches as the crystalized infection slowly overtakes her.) We just need to destroy the crystals, uh, with- with Destruction! I'll get-
Garmadon: Argh! (He's seen thrown into the crystal before hitting the ground.) Well, this isn't good...
Crystal: (She sees the large crystal tilting and points.) Lloyd! Go!
Lloyd: Huh? (He looks back and his eyes widen.) Father! (He runs and saves him from being crushed by a crystal.) You're hurt.
Garmadon: I— I can't... (He coughs.)
Lloyd: It's okay. Don't try to talk- (He gasps when he sees his father glowing.)
Garmadon: (He reverts to his normal form.) I...I'm sorry, Lloyd.
Lloyd: No, I'm sorry. (He looks back to see Harumi with Crystal.) Just- Just, hold on. (He tries to smile.) You'll be okay. I'll get you out of here! And- And then you can cure Crystal and everything will be okay! We'll figure out how to beat the Overlord another time just-
Garmadon: Lloyd... (He coughs silencing Lloyd.) ...I'm sorry. (He takes out something.)
Lloyd: Wait, what are you doing-
Crystal: (Grunts as she tries to move her leg.) Harumi, get out of here with Lloyd and Garmadon before-
Harumi: Just because your infected doesn't mean I'm leaving. I'm sorry for what I've done, and all this happening and to you! (She shakes her head and stammers.) It's- it's because of me and- and I can't just leave! (She looks back.) Lloyd- (She sees the scene with Crystal.)
Garmadon: Take Crystal and...and save yourselves. (He places the photo of his older self and Lloyd in his son's hands.) It's too late for me.
Lloyd: (He looks at the photo before looking back at Garmadon to see his eyes closed.) No...no! (He cries holding Garmadon's hand.) I should've have been so harsh- I'm sorry!
Overlord: Grieve not. You will soon be joining him. (Looks in Crystal and Harumi's direction.) My former follower as-well. (He notices Crystal's glare and her half-body crystallized form.) As for the Master of Light...she will become the one thing she always stood against. (Chuckles.) A pain worse than death...
(Lloyd wipes his face and looks back to see Crystal groaning from the transformation as Harumi watches scared. He looks back at his father before the Overlord, now his eyes purple.)
Lloyd: That's it! I'm not losing anymore people! (His body glows and everyone starts watching him achieve his Oni Form in anger.) This really does end now!
Crystal: (She reaches her hand out.) Wait, Lloyd, don't-
(Lloyd, not listening, launches to attack the Overlord with his new Destruction Energy powers. Meanwhile, underneath the temple, on the ground, Wu and the Team look up at the temple.)
Wu: The Overlord doesn't want to destroy you! He wants to corrupt the powers of creation!
Kai: So how do we stop them?
Wu: We're too late. (He notices the Ninja holding the Golden Weapons.) Wait...of course! The Weapons! We must unite them!
Jay: Wait, what? I thought that was bad!
Styx: Yeah, you remember the last time they did?
Kai: Yeah. You told us they'd, and they almost did, explode, remember?
Wu: The weapons will be destroyed, especially from your Dragon Forms. (He shakes his head.) But in doing so, it will unleash the Elemental Energy and Light within and connected to them. Before casting out, to assume whatever form they originally had!
Cole: But, without these, we don't stand a chance!
Nya: (She sees explosions from the Crystal Island.) Neither does Crystal, Lloyd, and Garmadon. I don't think they're going to last!
Styx: So we fly up there!
Kai: Yeah! Let's just bolt up there and take down that Lord of Lords before-
Wu: (He stops the Ninja from flying off.) We have already lost! All we can hope now is to prevent the powers of Creation from falling into the Overlord's hands.
Cole: But-
Zane: Master Wu is correct. I see no other course of action.
(The Team looks at eachother in uncertainty before looking up. Our scene takes us back to the Crystal Island, where Lloyd is thrashing all his corrupted energy against the Crystal King who can't keep up with the Destruction strikes.)
Lloyd: (Throws another orb of Destruction which makes the Overlord centaur form fall down.) Some Overlord you are...now time to end this-
Harumi: Wait, Crystal-
Crystal: (She quickly stands in front of Lloyd.) Lloyd, don't do this!
Lloyd: Crystal, get out of the way! It's time to complete the prophecy that started this whole mess! By destroying him-!
Crystal: But you won't fulfill the prophecy by destroying the Overlord! (Her right arm becomes covered with the Overlord's crystal.) Not like this!
Overlord: (He starts getting up with the others distracted.) Fools...
Crystal: The prophecy of Light and Dark can only be accomplished if both Elements are balanced! And using Destruction to just beat Destruction? That isn't balance!
Lloyd: But the Oni-Form-
Crystal: Is not meant in this fight!
Harumi: (In the background staring.) Uh, Crystal...
Lloyd: (He sees the Overlord getting ready to attack.) Let me handle this-
Crystal: No!
(Just then, a large orb of Light emits from Crystal's body, blinding Lloyd, Harumi, the Overlord, and even herself. Everyone opens their eyes to find a golden-yellow forcefeild around the heroes, keeping the Crystal King from entering.)
Lloyd: (Steps back seeing the barrier.) How did you... (His eyes dart over at Crystal, now cured from her crystallization, looking at herself in surpise.) You- You didn't use your incantation or your Destruction Powers!
Crystal: I...I finally understand now. (She looks back at Lloyd.) You can't let the Darkness take over you, Lloyd. (She slowly walks up to Lloyd.) We have to realize now that the sad thing about that Element of Destruction is that it corrupts the best of us. The essence can only be welded by those who deserve it, who were born and destined with and for it. (She puts her hand on Lloyd's shoulder.) Remember that not all those with the Dark are evil, just as others with Light mean we're good all the time. It's time to understand we can do this together, but with the power that morally encompasses our very being. To conquer Destruction we have to use the power of Creation.
(Lloyd looks at her before groaning as Crystal gasps watching him turn back to his original human self. He stands up as the two smile before embracing. Meanwhile, coming to a decision, the four original Ninja fly to the roof of the newspaper warehouse as everyone watches them.)
Nya: Do you think they will be okay? (Wu puts his hand on her shoulder in comfort.)
Styx: Totally. (Everyone looks at him.) What? I'm not negative all the time, I can hope! (Nya and Wu look at him doubtfully.) Seriously, I can!
Kai: (Sighs.) Anyone have any last words?
Jay: (Sniffs.) Your the best brothers I could ever wish for!
Cole: (Chuckles lightly.) You too, Jay. I'll say, it's been quite a ride, fellas.
Zane: If we do not survive this, I just want to say: I could not have asked for better friends and brother. You have stood by me, and I by you.
(Everyone looks in front of them and sees the barrier starting to unstablize while the Overlrod aggressively hits at it.)
Harumi: (Steps back.) So, um, are we still leaving or...?
Crystal: Like Lloyd said before, we won't win this fight today. We'll find another way to defeat the Overlord with the others. Come on-
Lloyd: Crystal. (He takes her hand and scolds himself with his eyes closed.) Ugh, I can't believe I'm doing this. I told myself not to pull a Jay but I'm pulling a Jay.
Crystal: What do you mean?
Lloyd: (Takes a deep breath.) Crystal, I just want to say if we don't make it out of this one alive. (They wince at the Overlord's yells as he opens his eyes.) I- I wanted to say this so many times for I don't how long but, I want you to know that your the single most person that's changed my life for the better. You mean the entirety of Ninjago to me and I want to- I want to confess that I- that I- well-
Crystal: Lloyd-
Lloyd: No, I can do this. Throughout our journey together and with the others after all these years, you've been a constant source of comfort, strength, and joy for me. You made me realize the hero inside me, shaping my life in ways I would've never imagined when I was a child.
Crystal: Lloyd-
Lloyd: So Crystal, during these probably final moments of everything we cared abouts' lives including ourselves, I hope you'll know that you're more than just a friend to me. (He closes his eyes.) And that I love you-
(At that, Crystal interrupts Lloyd by kissing him as Harumi watches the whole scene surprised, mouth agape, while Garmadon's hand is seen twitching in the background. Back on the ground, Cole, kai, Jay, and Zane take out their Golden Weapons.)
Zane: To the end.
Cole: To the end.
Jay: To the end.
Kai: To the end.
Crystal: To the end?
Lloyd: ...To the end.
(Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane reunite the Golden Weapons. At the same time, Crystal and Lloyd are blasted away by the Overlord and fall off the Crystal Island. Suddenly, a surge of golden power then shoots upward and meets Lloyd and Crystal as they both fall from the temple when the rest of the Team watch the scene from the ground.)
Overlord: (To Harumi who is kneeling beside Garmadon.) You chose the wrong side, Harumi.
(Just then, Lloyd and Crystal reappear above the Crystal King on the Golden Ultra Dragon.)
Harumi: Lloyd, Crystal!
Overlord: (He looks back.) Impossible!
Crystal: (Looks at the dragon surprised) How did you-
Lloyd: I didn't!
Overlord: Enough of this foolery! (He summons his powers.) Your meddling ends now!
Lloyd: No! Once and for all-!
Crystal: -This end now!
Crystal & Lloyd: Ninja, Go!
(Lloyd and Crystal put their hoods on as the Elemental Dragon and the Overlord engage in battle. The Golden Ultra Dragon then flies away as the Overlord follows suit. They continue to fight before coming back to the island. Harumi pulls Garmadon behind the Overlord's throne as she watches the battle. Crystal and Lloyd raise their hands with the Dragons' heads, and their combined Elemental powers destroy the Overlord. All over the city, the crystals start to break off as everyone watches astonished.)
Harumi: (Watching them land.) Lloyd, Crystal, are you okay?
Crystal: We're fine.
Lloyd: Well, at least most of us... (He looks down as Crystal holds his hand saddened before-)
Garmadon: (Walking up.) Okay, let's get out of here before the place explodes.
Lloyd: You— (He rubs his eyes.) Huh?!
Garmadon: (Noticing everyone's surprised looks.) What?
Crystal: (Lloyd shakes his head, still stunned.) You're not...dying?
Garmadon: (Smiles and scoffs.) Of course not.
Lloyd: You were faking?!
Garmadon: I was helping you achieve your Oni Form!
Lloyd: I didn't need Oni Form! It wouldn't have even worked!
Garmadon: It would have, if you hadn't gone all love-sick with the Light Ninja. But I must give credit where credit is due, your speech Crystal, made more sense then my brother and father's vague answers.
Crystal: (Laughs embarrassed.) Uh, we should probably get out of here-
Lloyd: (He facepalms.) And to think, I actually apologized-
Garmadon: Oh, no, that part was true.
(Lloyd looks up as Garmadon shrugs, before anyone can say anything though, they all feel the island crumbling around them and quickly get on the dragon, which carries the four to safety as the temple collapses. Meanwhile, the Ninja stand up, groaning.)
Jay: What happened?
Cole: (Stretches his back.) Ugh, who knew crystallization felt like waking up on the wrong side of the bed.
Kai: Did it work? Did we win?
Zane: I assumed we-
(The temple explodes, and everyone cheers.)
Zane: -did.
Nya: How?
Wu: Hmm...
Styx: I think I saw a dragon- (Sees Silk on Nya's other shoulder.) Hey, where did you come from?
Silk: (Shrugs.) Had to take care of a fake Darvandai snake on the way. Teleported him to the other Serpentine.
Styx: Uh, you mean Pythor? Nah, he's just a scathed Anacondrai. It's a long story.
Silk: Oh, uh, the Queen wanted me to make sure to, uh, well... (Crosses her arms.) ...congratulations on your Constictai transformation...I guess.
Styx: Heh, thanks- Wait, how did you know that-
Silk: Our tribe is more connected than the others, basically, since I met you, I can feel your powers from halfway across the Realm.
Styx: And you choose now to say this- (Puts his hands in the air.) How much stuff do you know, seriously?!
Nya: (Looks in-between them on her shoulders.) Guess I know what Kai felt like being a third-wheel now. (Styx and Silk look at her as she laughs.)
Wu: (He sees the Golden Ultra Dragon.) Is that— ?
Jay: Where did they get a dragon?!
Zane: I believe we are the cause of that.
Kai: Lloyd!
Cole: Crystal!
(They all have a group hug before spotting Harumi and glaring at her.)
Lloyd: Uh, it's okay. She's with us.
Crystal: (Everyone looks at her.) It's a long story...
Garmadon: It's true. She helped. Not as much as I did, perhaps, but why argue over details. Which reminds me, has my son told you about-
Lloyd: Okay! We can talk about that later, right? (Crystal laughs awkwardly.) Heh- uh, Master Wu!
Jay: Nya!
Wu: (He and the others come from the doors.) I'm so proud of you, brother!
Jay: (He looks up and awes after hugging Nya.) Is that what I think it is?
Kai: I think it's us. I mean, our powers.
(The Ninja approach the dragon, which begins to glow.)
Zane: What's happening?
Cole: It's fading away.
Wu: The Elemental Powers are returning from whence they came.
Kai: You think they'll ever return to us?
Wu: In time, surely. After all, true power is never lost.
Jay: So long, powers. (Sighs, smiling.) Can't wait to see you again.
Cole: So, what do we do now?
Wu: What we always do. (Smiles.) Rebuild.
(Later, on a hill, Garmadon plants Christofern into the earth.)
Garmadon: There. That wasn't so bad, was it? After all, I can't keep carrying you around forever. You're a plant. You should have roots. I once thought roots were a sign of weakness. Hmm. But I was wrong. We are stronger together. (He stands up.) I must go help my son and his friends rebuild his monastery now. Hmm. An Oni, building instead of destroying. What next? (He smiles and walks away.) What next indeed.
(Meanwhile, at the Monastery, the Team attempt to lift the broken door.)
Kai: A little more!
Lloyd: It's slipping!
Cole: I can't hold it for any longer!
Jay: I've got you!
Nya: Almost there!
Crystal: And...done!
(Everyone pants as they look at the gate now back in it's proper place, before glancing at the rest of the Monastary)
Kai: (Pants.) Phew, that's a start.
Cole: Heh, yeah, only a few more walls to go and this'll be good as new in no-time.
Styx: I can't tell if that was encouraging talk or just sarcasm. (Cole gives him an unamused expression as everyone laughs.)
Zane: At this pace, it will require 12 years, 8 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days to rebuild the monastery.
Kai: Huh, thanks for the pep talk, Zane. You always know what to say.
Nya: (Laughs before looking behind her.) We should probably salvage the rest of our vehicles and mechs before attempting the rest of the Monastery.
Jay: Yeah, heh, but before that...can we at-least talk about how our favourite Ninja are finally together! (He puts his hands around Crystal and Lloyd.) You know how long I've been waiting for your two to happen?! A long time!
Cole: Yeah, it was really obviose, I didn't need Jay's fan-boying to figure that out.
Nya: (Nudges Crystal.) So when do we get the details?
Crystal: (Giggles.) Why don't we focus on rebuilding our home first then-
Team: No! (They all laugh as Wu chuckles watching them.)
Dareth: (He arrives behind them, panting heavily.) Wow...that's.. a lot of steps. You guys should consider...putting in an elevator!
Pixal: (Walking up.) I would predict the elevator's demolition by the next day after it's installation.
Styx: Hah, even with Mini-Pix Seven.
Cole: Wait, Dareth? What are you doing here?
(The Weekend Whip starts playing in the background as members of the Resistance enter the monastery to help rebuild. The Ninja smile as they see all the people they helped over the years.)
Dareth: (To the heroes.) I figured you could use some help, so I, heh, brought a few friends.
(The scene then switches to the Ninjago's citizens, Prime Empire Gamers, Shintarians, Merlopians, Islanders, the New Ninja and others helping rebuild the Monastery of Spinjitzu. Cole hugs Vania while Jay and Nya are with Benthomaar, Styx with Silk, Kai with Skylor before Dareth appears in between them, surprising them both. Lloyd and Crystal wave at Harumi who's walking with the Commissioner before smiling at each other. Garmadon hands a board to his son who takes it before hugging his father who stands there surprised while Crystal puts her hands together. Wu, overseeing the whole scene from the front doors, smiles at the reunion.)
Wu: Remarkable...
(We pan out and fade to the hill where Christofern is seen planted.)
"Simply Remarkable."

I mean, technically for the story- and I think I'm happy how it turned out.
