(Y/N) visited whenever she could to keep Anna company, but unfortunately, she could not always be there for the young girl, which filled her with a sense of loneliness at times.
Anna looks outside at the snowy scene, gasping in excitement and racing to Elson's door.
"Elson?" She knocks rhythmically, "do you wanna build a snowman? Come on, let's go and play!"
She heavily sighs, slumping against his door.
"I never see you anymore!" Anna peeks under the door, seeing nothing, "come out the door. It's like you've gone away!"
...
Anna plays with two dolls resembling her and (Y/N) as (Y/N) messes with Elson's doll.
"We used to be best buddies..."
(Y/N) sighs as Anna slumps in sadness.
"But now we're not... I wish he would tell me why..."
...
Anna knocks on his door again as (Y/N) watches with a nervous frown, Elson having grown more and more distant.
"Do ya wanna build a snowman?" Anna presses her mouth to the lock, her voice muffled.
"It doesn't have to be a snowman," (Y/N) jokes, trying to encourage Elson to join them outside.
"Go away, guys." Elson curtly replies, making (Y/N) flinch and Anna deflate.
"Okay, bye..." Anna sadly replies, and she and (Y/N) go off to play outside.

Elson smiles sadly as he watches (Y/N) and Anna play tag in the snow, gripping the windowsill as he leans closer to the glass to watch them. (Y/N) looks up to Elson's window and pauses as she spots him, smiling up and waving at him.
Elson yelps in surprise when he was spotted by her as his face flushes pink, and gasps when he accidentally freezes the windowsill.
...
"The gloves will help," King Agnarr slides the white silk gloves on Elson's hands as (Y/N) watches with concern and apprehension. "See? Conceal it..."
"Don't feel it," Elson recites as the King clasps his hand.
"Don't let it show," both finish, (Y/N) shaking her head with a small sigh as she looks to the side with a frown.
...
Anna, now a few years older, slides along the hall and knocks on her brother's door with a giggle.
"Do ya wanna build a snowman? Or ride our bikes around the hall?" Anna rides her bike down the stairs, crashing into the arms of a suit of armor. "I think some company is overdue. I started talking to the pictures on the wall!"
Anna flops on a couch, pointing to a knight riding a white steed.
"Hang in there, Joan!"
...
"It gets a little lonely... All these empty rooms... Waiting for (Y/N) to drop by..." Anna sighs, watching the front gate from her room, gasping in excitement when she sees (Y/N) being dropped off by her parents.

"I'm scared!" An older Elson pants out in fear, looking between his parents and (Y/N) as he stands in front of the wall he had just frozen unintentionally. "It's getting stronger!"
"Getting upset will only make it worse, calm down..." The King tries to ease his son with a calming motion as (Y/N) reaches out to grab Elson's shaking hand.
"No! Don't touch me!" Elson yells as he jerks back with wide eyes, startling (Y/N) as she blinks rapidly. "Please... I don't want to hurt you..."
(Y/N)'s heart aches as his parents look sadly at each other, both gasping as (Y/N) slowly grabs Elson's gloved hand as he panics.
"It's okay. You won't hurt me," (Y/N) smiles softly, holding Elson's trembling hand in her own as he begins to calm down. "You won't hurt anyone."
He starts to cry before hugging (Y/N) tightly, making his parents both sigh in relief with small smiles as (Y/N) holds him close while sighing sadly for him.

A few years later, the King and Queen were going on a journey with (Y/N)'s parents, and would be a few weeks.
Anna skips along the hall, sliding to a stop near Elson's room door. She holds her hand out for a moment before sighing and shaking her head, entering her parent's room with a large smile.
She races to them, hugging them both tightly.
"See you in two weeks!"

Elson bows respectively to his parents as (Y/N) tightly hugs hers.
"Do you have to go?" Elson quietly asks, looking at them with concern.
"You'll be fine, Elson," King Agnarr smiles softly.
"(Y/N) will be here for you," Queen Iduna reminds, making Elson weakly smile and nod.
...
"Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!" (Y/N) squeezes them one last time before pulling away as her parents both smile at her. "I love you two!"
"We love you too," (M/N) chuckles, ruffling her hair with a fond smile.
"Be safe, my love," (D/N) places a kiss on her forehead, and then they left.
...
The royal ship battled against the freezing waters that raged violently as thunder and lightning clashed in the sky.
It fought as hard as it could against the waves... But... It wasn't enough.
The ship was swallowed into the sea, gone in an instant.

Servants wearing black lower a black, see-through curtain on the King and Queen's portrait.
Anna and (Y/N) stand side by side as the priest speaks, the King and Queen's tombstones standing tall next to each other. (Y/N)'s parents were buried a little ways off from their graves, since they were such close friends.
...
(Y/N) retreats to her room as Anna sadly watches. (Y/N) was forever grateful that Anna invited her to stay with them, since she had never been alone before. But she needed a moment to cry by herself, since she had to be strong for Anna.
Anna sighs and knocks gently on Elson's room door, her hand slumping.
"Elson? Please... I know you're in there... People are asking where you've been. They say have courage, and we're trying to. I'm right out here for you... Just let me in..." Anna sniffles, slumping on the door. "We only have each other... Just the three of us... What are we gonna do?"
Anna slumps to the floor in tears, "do you wanna... Build a snowman?"
...
Eventually Anna got up, heading to (Y/N)'s room and encouraging to try to get Elson out before heading to her room nearby.
...
"Elson?" (Y/N) softly knocks on the door, placing her hand on it. She shivers at how cold it was, and gently knock again. "Please, I know how it feels... I feel so empty and broken. I lost my parents, and you lost yours too. I feel like I'm losing you too... Won't you please let me in?"
It was quiet for a moment, and she heavily sighs as tears fall down her face, a small sob escaping her lips as she sniffles.
"Anna really needs you. And so do I... I know that you need us too..."
She hears the lock click, and the crackling of frost as the door was yanked open, startling her.
Elson looks at her with a tear stained face, seeming to be at a loss for words as he opens and closes his mouth a few times. His hand reaches out towards her before he flinches, retracting it with a shuddering breath. Shaking his head, he looks away, his hair hiding his expression.
"Go away, (Y/N)."
He mutters in a broken voice, swiftly shutting and locking the door as her heart sinks, her face falling. She stares at his door for a few moments as her heart breaks, sighing softly as she turns and walk down the hall in slow steps.

Elson's head ached and his heart screamed as he shut the door, his hands gripping the sides of his head as he slumps back against his door and slides onto the floor while softly sobbing, ice shooting out of his body on its own and coating his room around him.
He leans his head against the door, shakily breathing as he squeezes his eyes shut.
"I wanna build a snowman..."
Elson sighs, burying his face in his arms as his room frosts over around him and he sob alone in his dark room.

Anna sobs into (Y/N)'s side as they lean against her room door, (Y/N) hugging Anna in a comforting way as they mourn the loss of their parents.
