The days went by and Alec had replaced Jane in taking care of me. He brought me different kinds of chocolate and flowers every day. My meals were also accompanied with soda which to me was a big deal since I hadn't drunk any in a while. My appetite had grown and soon I had to eat three times a day. Along with the eating I started to throw up and got dizzy easily.

Alec worried about my health, but I preferred to keep it between us. I had no sign of illness, but I did feel strange.

"Do you know who you remind me of?" I asked him as we strolled in the garden.

"Tell me."

"My friend Embry."

"Now you compare me to a dog?"

"Not a dog a majestic wolf." I chuckled.

"How so?"

"He always makes me feel good when I have troubles. Sort of like a brother."

"I'm glad you see me that way."

"It's hard not to, you're the only one that has seen me as a person rather than an object."

"I can't disagree with that. Except that Marcus seems to be confused about you."

"Oh?"

"He believes that there's no harm if you go back. He really sees your bond with Jacob, he feels your pain."

I stayed quiet. I couldn't believe the words that came out of his mouth.

"Caius wants his hands on the wolves, he believes that they should either be destroyed or used as guard dogs. Aro is the one that has his eyes on the prize. He wants you all with gifts to join us. However he knows that you won't join. Now they're debating on letting you go and let things go back to normal or force you to stay here."

"This can lead to a fight." I warned.

"That's a discussion as well."

"This is so complicated. Why can't they just let me go? Why do they need to be tyrants? We didn't break any laws! Isn't that what they worry and care about?"

"Renesmee calm down."

"I can't Alec, I can't..." I broke.

My feet couldn't keep my weight up anymore, and I feel to the floor. I sobbed. I couldn't help it. My compulsions forced my voice and tears to come out. All the memories I had kept now flowed. My friends, family, all of my loved ones kissing and hugging me goodbye, wishing me a good trip, to have a great time, but above all come back safe.

"Renesmee you'll go back I promise."

"I really hope you keep your promise."

The days kept passing and still nothing. I looked at the date and noticed that I had been here for a month. A month without my loved ones, it wasn't all a loss. I've gained one friend that treated me kindly and believed that I could pull through this.

Alec cared for my every need and made sure I was comfortable. He took me out on strolls, to the different halls and wings of the manor and tried his hardest to make me feel at home. Of course the foreign chocolates helped too.

"What are we doing today Alec?" I asked anxious.

"I think shopping will suit you. There's only farmland here, not a lot of anything else. It's the least I can do to keep you entertained."

"How do you get humans then?" I blurted.

"I just feed. We usually send a human or Jane after them and when the group comes to the chamber we drink."

"Jane, what's wrong with her?"

"Lots of things." We giggled. "She likes to be the favorite, and imitates the masters to be on their good side."

"She really needs a life then. Doesn't she realize that you two are like the most powerful of all of them?"

"I guess not."

"I hope the masters don't get mad that you took me out." I teased trying to change the subject. He just smiled.

It was a cloudy day, perfect for vampires not to expose themselves.

Alec wore regular clothes for the first time we've spent together, a pair of jeans and a shirt, along with a coat, scarf, and a hat to hide his eyes.

"You clean up good." I commented.

"You like this?" He seemed surprised.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"It feels like a costume to me."

I giggled.

He took me to an open air market where we gazed at food, livestock, and many other trinkets for sale. I gazed at all the things amazed at the variety. In the end, Alec insisted on buying me clothes and some hand-made bracelets. He also ordered some sheep to be delivered to the manor in order to feed on blood and not just food.

"Thanks for bringing me shopping." I looked at all the bags I carried.

"You're welcomed, anything for you." He paused until I looked at him. "I won't let them hurt you anymore."

I was moved by his words. I nodded, "We should get back."

Back at the manor nothing had changed, except for my appetite. As I watched the workers put the sheep in the stable, the smell of the sheep's blood was arousing the burn of my throat. Once they left I started my feeding frenzy. None complained as the blood of their own ran down my throat. Once I finished Alec led me to my room where I took a shower and went to sleep. The only dream that played in my mind was of Jacob.

I had trouble waking up in the morning. I felt my limbs heavy as iron. Eventually I got up, and noticed that my pajamas fit me too tight. I looked down to see a lump sticking out. I rushed to the mirror.

I grabbed myself before I fell to the floor. The mirror revealed that I did have a lump and I had held as if protecting it. The mirror also revealed to me what I had wanted a few days before school started. I was going to be the mother of Jacob's child.

"Renesmee?" Alec called from the door.

"I'm over here." I walked out so he could see me.

"Renesmee what happened?"

"Can't you tell? I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant and Jacob doesn't know!" Tears threatened to fall from my eyes. "My baby." I whispered

"We need to tell the others."

"No! We can't they'll make me get rid of it!"

"If they decide such thing I'll help you escape myself, but we have to tell them." He pleaded.

I felt calmer to know that Alec was on my side, but the sadness to not have Jacob here was unbearable.

I looked at the lump that contained the fetus. "I love you little one." I turned to Alec who waited. "Alright we'll tell the others."

"What!?!" How could this happen?!?" Jane met us outside the elder's gathering room.

"She is part human you know." Alec justified me.

"You know the elders will disagree with this. If you want to see her suffer there's nothing I can do." She smiled.

Jane's smile was worse than the pain she inflicted on me. There's no doubt that she hated me and would do what she could to let me know it.

"That is why I must speak with them. There is great potential in this child."

"Oh please what use is a child from a hybrid?"

"It's part werewolf too."

"Shape shifter."

"Look don't argue just announce our arrival."

Jane gave a sour look. "Nice knowing you brother." Then she disappeared into the chamber.

"Are you sure about this?" I asked a little scared.

"This will influence their decision."

"Do you really think they'll let me go?"

"I don't know, but they will have to take the child into consideration."

The doors opened again. Alec took my hand and walked me inside.

This was the most frightening day of my life. I wasn't scared of losing my freedom anymore I was scared of losing the product of my love for Jacob.

Today the Volturi would finally decide to let me go or stay. To keep my child or stop it's heart. If no decision was reached I would make my own.

Aro raised his hand as if calling order. Everyone fell quiet. Then again there weren't many people. Only them and their body guards along with what I think were their wives.

"Well this is quite...the surprise." Aro spoke. "I have to say Renesmee your value to us can either be doubled or diminished."

"Aro you must understand that I will not give up my child. I'm sure that you all realize that she won't be a threat."

"There's no guarantee of that." Caius snapped.

"What if it can be ensured?" Alec challenged.

"If that were the case I don't see why not conserve it."

That was one down, two to go.

"I will not go against your wishes young one. I trust that you have the wisdom of being capable to make the right decisions." Marcus had his eyes on me. "This child you carry in your womb is product of the love you have for your Jacob." He thought for a second. "I would do the same for my loved one."

"Come Marcus, you have to be joking. I've never seen your feelings influence your judgment." Caius was annoyed.

"I have my reasons brother. There are no laws broken, and I can feel the pain she's going through. All I wish for her is to go home and be with her family."

"Foolish! So foolish of you to think like that. You should be ashamed to be part of this council."

"Calm down Caius. No need to get upset. This is a special case. Even I don't know what to do."

"I do. We need to terminate this pregnancy in exchange for her freedom."

"No! I'll never agree!" The words came out of my mouth naturally.

Alec took my waist and hand. "Master I'm sure there are other options, another way."

"What do you suggest? Let that little beast live? Let it be a danger to our exposure?"

Everyone fell quiet again.

I knew Caius was against me, Marcus with me, and Aro would be the only one standing in my way. I had to make him an offer he couldn't refuse an offer that would interest him, but what? Caius was concerned about my baby eating his dinner and or being a threat. Marcus wanted to let me go and be.

My family, so long has it been since I've seen them. They were starting to fade in my memories, and I needed them now more than ever. I was having a baby, and none of them aware of the situation.

"Aro, Marcus, Caius. I have one last offer I believe we will all agree."

The ancients looked at me with interest.

"Please do speak." Aro instructed.

"What if I stay and conceive my child with the help of my family?"

"Do explain."

"Caius is concerned about the baby, and Marcus about my family. You can also spend time with my parents, and Aunt Alice, and Grandpa Carlisle."

"I think that's a splendid idea." Alec commented. "You must all agree that this is a great solution. The visit of both vampires and shape shifters, this is an opportunity we all can't afford to lose."

"It seems reasonable. I agree." Marcus gave his verdict.

"I still say this is preposterous, but agree to the request." Caius' tone was sour.

"It is done then. You shall call your family and shape shifters. Have them fly here in exchange for you to keep the pregnancy to full term, and your freedom after."

"Thank you Aro."

"You're welcomed young one, now go and call."

Alec took me to the receptionist and handed me the phone.

I dialed the Cullen house number. I figured they must all be there figuring out what to do.

"Hello?" It was grandpa.

"Grandpa? It's so great to hear your voice."

"Renesmee! Are you all right?"

"Yes, yes I'm fine, but I have some instructions."

"I'm so glad you're safe."

"Me too, I don't have much time, I need all of you to come to Volterra as soon as you can."

"All of us?"

"The Volturi want all of you. Is Jacob there?"

"Yes, but why?"

"I need all of you to come and the werewolves too. Can I talk to Leah?"

"Hold on."

"Hello?"

"Leah?"

"Ness! I'm glad you're safe it's been so long we've been worried sick!"

"I know, I was worried too. Listen you need to convince Jacob to bring you and Embry with him. The Volturi want to see werewolves in the flesh along with my family."

"Why?"

"It's part of a deal. In exchange for something, let me talk to Jacob."

"Alright, glad you're safe."

"Nessie are you okay?"

"Jacob I'm fine."

"Nessie, Nessie, I've missed you." He whispered.

"I miss you too." A tear escaped. "I need you all to come to Volterra. I have to do what the Volturi want because we're going to have a baby."

"What? A baby?"

"Uh huh, I'm pregnant. In order to keep the baby I have to get you all down here during the pregnancy."

"Nessie...of course whatever you say."

"Alright then I'll see you here. I love you."

"I love you too."

"Tell everyone I said hi and to hurry. I'll miss you."

"Me too, I'll see you soon honey."

"I'll be waiting...bye."

I cut the conversation knowing that if it went on any longer I wouldn't let go.

"Are you okay?" Alec held my shoulders.

"I'm happy. My family is coming and a new member is on its way." I looked to the lump and ran my hand over it. "My baby. Daddy's coming."
