We're going on a trip" Jess spoke
It was Saturday morning, the year 2024. It had officially been a week since homecoming. A week since Harper and Griffin had been presented in royalty. They loved it. Like most days the "Dunnbell Family" were at the Tremont. Though most hours at the Campbells would be all fun and games...Well, not so much today. The Campbell and The Dunn kids were in the living room lobby. They were all seated on the couch, parents standing in front of them. It felt like a family meeting.
"On a trip?" Griffin questioned
Sarah nodded. Seconds later the 5 teens were screaming with joy, throwing pillows in the air, and letting their cheers collide with others.
"Alright, Alright, Alright," Ben said, setting down the kids.
"There's more to the story" Jess pointed out
The juveniles exchanged glances and something was clearly wrong. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, as well as Ms. Dunn, were attired in beachwear─sunglasses, flip flops, sundresses─as if they were on their way to Hawaii. The youths had dressed differently; they had donned their usual hoodies, jeans, leggings, and crop tops
"What is it?" Harper asked, impatiently
"Well..." Sarah started
"We're not all going on the trip" Jess took over
"Ha, sucks for you" Topher blurted to his sister
"Shut up" Harper clapped back
"You're not going either," Jess remarked
Harper then glared at her brother, He just rolled his eyes.
"Wait," Griffin said
"You said "We're not all going", so that means-"
"None of you guys are going" Ben sighed
"Hm?"
"None of you guys are going"
The youngsters all just looked at each other in shock. Their parents were going on a trip without them.
"Where are you guys going?" Zoey wondered
"The Bahamas," Sarah said
"The Bahamas?" The teens all said in sync
"You're going to The Bahamas without us?" Wyatt put a question to
"Yeah," Ben said, with a smile
"So that means you guys are gonna be "home alone," Jess said
"What about the hotel?" Griffin asked
"We have staff for that" Sarah shrugged off
"Staff?, We haven't even met any staff"
"Well I have, and that's all that really matters," Sarah said
"Is this whole situation, why you told me and Harper to pack earlier ?" Topher said, taking a glimpse at his and Harper's overnight bags.
"Bingo," Jess said, with a smile
"This isn't the time for wordplay, Mom" Harper sassed
"You're going to The Bahamas without your kids"
"The Bahamas!" Griffin exaggerated
"The Bahamas!" Harper repeated
"The Baha-"
"Well as much as I'd love to do this, We have to get going" Sarah interrupted
"When do you guys leave?" Zoey wanted to know of
"Right now," Ben said
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell and Ms. Dunn then kissed each of their kid's heads, before they then walked over to the door, grabbing their luggage beside it.
"Bye, Kids," Sarah said before she and Jess walked out the door
"Be good" Ben quoted before he walked out himself. Shutting it behind him. Leaving the 17 and 15-year-olds alone.
"They're going to the Bahamas, you guys" Topher spoke up
"The Bahamas!" Harper said
"The Bahamas!" Zoey repeated
"The Bahamas!" Grififn blurted
"The Baha-"
"You guys" Wyatt interrupted
"This isn't all that bad. Sure, they left to go to the Bahamas-"
"The Bahamas" Zoey sighed
"The Baha-"
"Don't start" Wyatt warned
Zoey giggled
"Anyway, Like I was saying we're home alone, meaning we could do just about anything" Wyatt reminded
"Oh yeah, Mom and Dad left no one in charge," Zoey said
Wyatt nodded, with a smile
"No, No you can't do anything you want," Griffin said
"Let's go find something to do then" Topher suggested
"Something insane," Zoey said, before she, her brother, and her friend stood up
"No, Nothing in-"
"Can't hear you" Wyatt said to Griffin, as they walked away
Griffin rolled his eyes and sighed. He then noticed his girlfriend was looking a little uneasy.
"Lovey?" Griffin said
Harper looked at him
"You ok?"
"Yeah, it's just my stomach's starting to hurt" Harper quoted
"Aww" Griffin bummed
"Do you wanna go lay down?" Griffin asked
Harper nodded in agreement and Griffin stood, flashing a smile as he saw her raise her arms, opening and closing her hands.Griffin lifted Harper up with ease, her legs wrapping around his waist as she tucked her arms close to his chest. He then ascended the stairs slowly, ensuring that his girlfriend would not feel any discomfort. Once they had reached the top floor, he entered his bedroom and shut the door behind them. He stepped over to his bed and carefully laid Harper down on it. After tucking a few blankets around her body, he made sure she was comfortable before stepping away.
"Ok my queen, if you need anything, call me," Griffin said
Harper nodded
He then stood up and was about to walk out, until he was stopped
"Wait," Harper said, pausing Griffin in his tracks. He looked back
"Kissy" Harper pouted, pointing to her cheek
Griffin smiled, before leaning down. He kissed his girlfriend's cheek. He pulled away only to see her adorable smile show through
"You so cute" Griffin reminded
"I know"
"I love you"
"I know"
Griffin let out a chuckle before quickly exiting the room. He softly closed the door behind him, but as soon as he did so, he heard a commotion downstairs. He instantly knew where it was coming from and hastened his way downstairs to the living room. On arrival, Griffin quickly spotted the mess in front of him─it was the twins who were covered in white baking soda, which had also spread across the floor.
"What the heck!" Griffin said
"What are you guys doing?"
"Insane stuff" Zoey uttered
"We're having a snow fight," Wyatt said before he poured more baking soda on him.
"This is baking soda!" Griffin responded
"Closes we could get to snow" Zoey shrugged off
"You guys just can't-"
Topher entered from the patio doors, bearing a large bucket of water which he proclaimed aloud, "Got the water!"
The twins cheered
"Water?" Griffin questioned
Just then Topher had poured the water on him and the twins. They screamed in joy as it happened.
"OH MY GOD!" Griffin yelled, watching the scene unfold
When Griffin heard Harper call his name, he reacted without delay and quickly ascended the stairs, leaving the 15-year-olds to their own entertainment. Upon reaching the top, Griffin hastened to his bedroom and flung open the door, his eyes widening in surprise
"Oh god!"
