Caleb, Sabrina and Marcus are by my side. I don't know why Marcus went after me, too, but he did.
"Oh my god." I say as I'm freaking out. I'm in the parking lot with my hands on on my head. "This is not happening."
"Wait. Hold on," Marcus is the panicking as well as if it's him who is pregnant. "You're actually pregnant? Tell me that what Amanda said wasn't true. Tell me it wasn't true!"
"Of course it's true! Why do you even care!" I was yelling now. I was mad and then Marcus is here making everything worse. Why does he even care?
"It's okay, Penelope. Don't worry what other people think about you," Sabrina was said in a soft voice with her arm wrapped around my shoulders.
Of to the side Marcus was pacing back and forth and whispering to himself. "This is bad. This is really bad."
"What's important is that your friends and family care about you no matter what," Caleb was by my side, reassuring me.
"This is not going to end well for me."
"Will you stop it already!" Sabrina shouted at Marcus. He stopped pacing and looked at her. "My best friend is having probably the worst moment of her life and you're here saying that you're the one who is going to end up a parent."
"Unless..." Caleb started. "You. Did. Not."
The realization hit me. Everything came back to me. It was him. Marcus.
"I can't believe you got invited to a party! At Starbucks, right?" Sabrina has always wanted to attend a party. She is outgoing and loves to have fun. A party would be her area.
"Yeah. By Caleb. He is on the football team I think." It's so weird that I got invited by him. I have a few classes with him and have only talked to him a couple of times.
I'm wearing a blue halter top with dark skinny jeans. I have heels as well that I only use to go to a party because of how I tired I get in them.
Sabrina grabs her brother's keys and drives to the address they gave me. I haven't even thought about how this could be fake and they are actually planning on kidnapping me. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
I can already hear the music and were not even close it inside yet. We get of and Sabrina has a look on her face that obviously says that she is excited about this.
"Remember," Sabrina says. "Have fun but not too much fun."
"I know. I would never drink so much beer to the point where I would forget the next day. Or end up making out with a total stranger." I'm the responsible one after all. We walk through the doors and can smell beer. Some people are already way past drunk.
"Beer?" I look to my left and see that the voice comes from Caleb.
"Um. Yeah. Sure." I gulp down the drink. I'm not really one to drink beer. I almost choke on the taste of it and Sabrina chuckles. I offer some to Sabrina.
"Nah. I'll stay sober so we can drive back home. I'll just drink some Pepsi." She walked over to the fridge and grabbed a drink.
A rock song came on, perfect for dancing. I quickly drank another beer and went on to dance. I never knew I had it in me to drink.
A few hours later I'm drunk as anyone could be. A guy walks up to me an says, "Penelope, right?" He has a grin on his face while he tilts his head sideways. He is wearing a football jacket. There are empty cups all around and a few people making out. There is also music blasting in the background.
"Yeah. As far as I know."
"You're beautiful."
I blush. I've never been called beautiful before. Only one person has called me that before but I forgot. I just remember that he is important. "Thank you." He steps closer to me. If I moved an inch closer, then we would be kissing. "What's your name?"
"That's not important."
"That's an interesting name."
He brought has ear to my mouth and whispered, "follow me." He gripped my arm and pulled me up the stairs. I drink the vodka that's in my hand and follow him into the dark bedroom. He closes it behind him.
I don't want to remember the rest. I don't want to know how he put his lips on mine. How we made out and unhooked my bra. I don't want to know about the dirty stuff we did and the things I'll never be able to get out of my head. I feel disgusted in my own body. I felt this way before, but now that I know who it was? It's worse.
Caleb punches him in the face and the two of them start fighting.
"Hey! Stop it!" I go over to try to stop them when Marcus accidentally punches me. They stop fighting.
"Penelope!" Sabrina screams. She stomps over the Marcus and hits him in between the legs a couple times. "That's for taking advantage of my best friend! And for not telling her! For punching her!
Caleb is looking at where Marcus punched me. "I'm fine," I lie.
"You're bleeding."
"It was an accident!" Marcus pleads while still lying on the ground.
"What was the sex or the punch?" Sabrina asks.
"Both."
"Really?" I say. "Because I remember that you knew what you were doing. You wanted to get me into bed."
"I was just as drunk as you were."
"It was your party!" Caleb screams.
"What's going on out here?" Amanda walks out of the gym pretending to be innocent.
"Don't you pretend to have nothing to do with this. You told everybody about me."
Amanda smiles ever so innocently, "I was just hurrying up the inevitable, sweetie. How surprising was this news, Caleb? Bet you don't want to be with this hoe any longer. Why don't you come hang out with a queen."
"I'm not going anywhere with you."
"What?" Amanda's face falls. She quickly replaced it by a fake smile. "No matter. We'll see soon how you like being with a girl that has a kid and raising a child that isn't yours."
She spins on her heel back towards the gym. "I'll walk you home." Caleb offers.
"I have a faster way, you know. It's called a car." Marcus shows us his keys.
"You're crazy if I'm letting Penelope near you." Sabrina steps up for me. Like always.
"I never want to see you ever again." Caleb says I disgust to his ex-best friend.
Caleb, Sabrina and I start to walk home, two miles away.

I wake up the next day, still in my homecoming dress next to Sabrina. Looks like she stayed the night after we found out about Marcus. I sit up and just do nothing for a while. I don't know how long I sit there when Sabrina says, "Morning." I notice and left the good out of good morning.
"Morning," I whisper.
"Let's go shopping." She jumps in front of me.
"What?" I'm going through the the worst time of my life, and all you can think of is shopping?"
"No, silly. Well, yes. But shopping for maternity clothing. You'll be big soon. Your normal clothes won't fit you so we might as well."
"I'm not in the mood."
"Please? I have to cheer you up somehow. We tried ice cream last night." She gestured to the three empty containers of ice cream on the floor. "The second thing is going shopping." When I don't respond she says, "Do you want me to get Caleb to come over here."
I shake my head. "No. I don't want him to see me like this. Let's go shopping." I put on a fake smile but Sabrina is my bestest friend in the whole world.
"You don't have to put up a fake front around me. Don't fake your emotions. If you want to randomly like start crying then okay. I won't judge you. But I'll admit we have to do something with you hair because it looks like a bird made a nest in it."
I chuckle and she smiles at me. "Okay." I say. Before I know it I feel water coming out of my eyes. I start sobbing and crying like crazy. Sabrina is by my side, her arm around my shoulder. I feel like a little kid cuddled up next to her. But she has seen me in my worst times and me her. She keeps reassuring me that everything is going to be okay.
"We'll get through this. I'll be by your side every step of the way."
