It's been two days that Tony, Bruce and Jarvis been trying to decode the chip but still no success. You visited Bucky everyday in his cell, watching him while he was still unconscious. You went into his head every day, trying to show him your good old memories together, but also Steve's memories of both of them. You hope that seeing this may help him remember who he is once he'll wake up.
It's later in the morning that day. You're training with Clint when Wanda shows up at the training room. You can sense her enthusiasm so you stop and go to her.
- Y/N: Wands ! Your enthusiasm fills the room so please explain *You look at her intrigued
- W: He's awake Y/N.. *she takes one of your hand
You stay there, frozen, not even able to talk. Clint comes beside you.
- C: Kid ? Are you alright ?
You look at him and nod.
- C: You should go and see him then. He needs you right now. *pats your shoulder
- Y/N: Yeah I know... I just... can't move... *you look at Wanda
- W: Hey it's okay... *she cups your face
I can feel your fear but you're not alone in this okay ? He may still be under Hydra's control but it won't last okay...?
You take her hands and look at her, starting to breath heavily.
- Y/N: Can you.. come with me...?
- W: You don't even have to ask for that *she gently smiles
- Y/N... Thanks Wands...
You both start to leave but Clint stops you.
- C: By the way, great session Kid ! Keep us in touch okay ?
- Y/N: We will *you turned to look at him
You and Wanda arrive at Bucky's cell. An unbreakable glass separates you. Bucky raises his head and is now looking at you two. You can feel Wanda's discomfort so you take her hand, trying to reassure her the most you can. Bucky breaks of the silence.
- B: Where am I ..? *looks at you
- Y/N: In a safe place. Tell me your name. *You don't break the staring game
- B: ... James Buchanan Barns..
- Y/N: And which James am I talking to right now ?
- B: When we first met, you were so afraid that you tried to stab me with a nail you found... *a hint of a smile appears on his face
- Y/N: To easy... I don't buy that...
You turn back and start to leave. Wanda follows you. But Bucky stops you.

You stop at what he said. Wanda is looking at you, not knowing what to do. A tear is running down your face. You wipe it and turn back to him. You use telepathy with Wanda first.
* - Y/N: Can you go and find Steve ?
* - W: On my way sweetheart *she rushes out
You don't get the time to answer her cause she already left. You liked the way she just called you which makes you blank a bit. You shake you head and go back to Bucky.
- Y/N: It's good to have you back James..
- B: Have I hurt someone...?
You look at your arms.
- Y/N: Well you did but you're still not enough strong to beat me down so... *You slightly smile
- B... It will never stop.. *he looks down
They'll always be able to control us...
- Y/N: No they won't James. We'll help you getting out of this past life okay ? *You step closer to the glass
He looks at you in disbelief.
- B: Trust me they can.. *he rubs his neck
The technology they use..
- Y/N:... Isn't better than ours *you cut him off
I found the chip and I took it out ... well with some help but still.. And we'll do the same for you, so you can be free and finally live a life you deserve..
He stands up and comes closer to the glass.
- B: You sure... ? They can't get in your head anymore..?
- Y/N: Only if they capture me again but I won't let that happen so you don't need to worry *you put your hand on the glass,
- B: I should stay in there until you take out the chip then.. You know, just in case.. *he does the same
- Y/N: This was actually the plan .. *You gently laugh
You hear Wanda and Steve coming so you step back. Bucky and Steve are now looking at each other.
- S: Bucky...? *he steps closer
- B: Hey Steve... *he slightly smile
You go next to Wanda. You both smile to eachother.
- W: Are you okay...?
- Y/N: Better now ... Sweetheart... *whispering
We should let them talk, don't you think ?
- W: Yep totally *smiles at you.
You both head back to the living room where everyone is waiting for an update. You'll end up explaining everything to them. Now it's time to "fix" Bucky and take Hydra down once for all.
* It's time to kick some asses ! We need some tenderness first don't you think ?
