jiyoung quickly changes from twitter to messages as she inputs minjeong's number and snaps a quick photo to send to the girl. she hums to herself silently as it's almost midnight and she just finished putting the two babies she's babysitting to sleep.
two babies meaning a very hyper chenle and an equally hyper, if not even more, jisung. they were both sleeping on the floor, cuddling each other as she placed some blankets on them as it was a very chilly spring night.
she laid her phone on her chest after she pressed send as she stared out of the window nearby. the moonlight seeping through the curtains as the cool air slowly moved the sheer curtains.
she tilted her head to stare at the moon. she silently chuckled to herself as she recalled all the events that had passed during the week.
the ravenette closed her eyes for a moment. she shut them even tighter as she felt a sudden warmth slide down her face.
she opened her eyes as she brought a hand up to her cheek to try to find out where the warmth was coming from.
tears. there were tears sliding down her face, giving her some type of warmth in the cool spring air.
she didn't know when she had started to cry or why. that's a lie, she knew exactly why and she was just ashamed to admit that she was crying.
crying because her heart had just been broken. broken by the same man who treated her with such fragileness, care, and love.
she folded her legs up against her chest as she pushed her face in the space between them. she silently sobbed to herself as to not wake the peacefully sleeping boys up.
❝why me..? ❞ she whispered to herself. her voice cracking a bit in between the words. she sniffled as she stood up and made her way to the bathroom.
she closed the door carefully. she turned on the light as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. disheveled hair, eye bags under her eyes, tears sliding down her face.
this was the real her, the real cho jiyoung. not the oh so happy cho jiyoung that everyone knew her as. the only people that had seen this part of her was her family and the foreign swaggers.
she brought a hand up to her face as she started to touch at all her imperfections. she was slowly starting to lose herself to the hole of sadness, the never ending pit of sadness called sorrow.
she shakily sighed as she placed her hands on the sink, stabilizing herself as she let out shaky sobs.
she thought it was pathetic. to be crying in your best friends bathroom while they were sleeping peacefully, without a worry in the world.
she bit her lip trying to silence her cries as they had started to get louder as time passed by. at this point she might've drawn a bit of blood from how hard she was biting her lip.
she sniffled as she grabbed some tissues to blow her nose and wiped her tears with the sleeve of her sweatshirt.
she splashed some water on her face as she lightly slapped herself. ❝you can do this, you're an inspiration. ❞ the ravenette gave herself a little pep-talk, using minjeong's words from before.
her eyes were slightly red and puffy, her nose a slight red as she still sniffled occasionally. she stepped out of the bathroom, making her way back towards the couch she had just been sitting on.
she grabbed her phone as she opened in up to see a notification, most likely from minjeong.
