Sorry couldn't update for 2 days so that's why a long chapter as compensation!
Jaanvi's POV
I have just completed studying and it's 3AM in the morning and I am studying in the hall with all the lights on.
Actually I could have stopped studying at 12 only but I was scared to go up after closing the lights and so as not to get scared I started studying.
I yawn, My eyes are getting heavy but I am scared as well.
I watch one more study video and the screen is getting blank slowly when I felt a tap on my shoulder and opened my eyes with shock, I looked at my side immediately and got scared.
It's mummy ji.
I sigh in relief.
"Jaanvi what are you doing here? Why haven't you slept in your room?"
I stood up "woh mummy ji, I was studying"
"It's fine but here? It's cold in here. Go to your room"
I shook my head.
"What happened?"
"Woh actually Aunty I am very scared to go up after switching off the light's so I just didn't"
"But you could have gone without turning them off"
"I know but I thought that maybe anyone of you might get angry that I left without switching it off and then my room's light were also off, that was also I reason I just couldn't gather courage to go up" I said truthfully
She looks at me with soft eyes and smiled a bit.
"Take your books, I will drop you to your room"
I smile "thank you mummy ji"
I take my books walk with her till my room.
"Good nights mummy ji"
"Good night but how do you manage to sleep alone?"
"Woh i just switch on the light, play Bhajans, keep Ganpati bapa near my table and sleep"
"You used to sleep like this in your house as well?" She asked and my smile decreased
"No, earlier I wasn't so scared but later on"
"Later on?"
I yawn "I am feeling sleepy mummy ji, Good night"
She nods "good night"
She leaves and I close the door taking a deep breath.
I open the drawer and look at the photograph. I close my eyes.
Go to your Rohit ! - his words play in my mind and I open my eyes.
I sit on the bed and I just keep my mind blank, not wanting to think anything, nothing.
Anything which affects me alot. I don't want to.
I hold the bed sheet tightly controlling myself from breaking down.
I have sips of water and calm myself down.
I keep the picture back in the drawer. I lay my head on the pillow play bhajan, hug the another pillow and sleep with all the thoughts running in my head.

"Mummy ji can we please go out for shopping?"
"Shopping?"
"Yeah, actually I want to buy some clothes as well as some study material and as I don't know anything about this place I want to go with you"
She thinks for a while and nods "but we have to go to Rohit's police station as well"
I grin "really mummy ji but why?"
"Because that duffer son of mine forgot his lunch"
I face palm "he is seriously the biggest Duffer" I said and she glares at me.
"Sorry but it's true"
She raised her brows
"Umm for me" I added
She smiled and so did I.
"Firstly let's change and then we will go"
I nod.
I quickly change into a jeans and top tying my hairs in a pony tail.
Then we took and auto and reach his station.
When we got down, aunty saw a man selling blankets outside the station.
"Bhaiya how much for this?" She asked and began to argue.
I walk few steps away from them and I look at my side and saw Rohit talking happily with another officer and is walking out of the station.
I smile. I am happy to watch him happy, I wish he could be this happy with me.
Then his gaze shift to me and I immediately wave my hand at him.
He frown's and says bye to the officer and walks up to me.
I smile sweetly at him.
I was about to say hi when he began to say "what are you doing here?"
I move aside and make him show mummy ji.
"Mom?" He says a bit loud to get mummy ji's attention.
Then she looks at him "ek min!(one min)" with hand she signalled
He nods and then start typing something on his phone.
"Umm Rohit!" I call him
He give me a glance.
"Who is that officer?" I point out with my forefinger
"Who?"
"Him"
"That bald one?"
"Na na not him"
"Then?"
"Tch" I hold his shoulder and turn him then I stand infront of him, my back touching his front.
I hold his hand and point his forefinger towards the officer "Look there"
Even after one minute I didn't got the response so I asked "did you see?"
Again I asked "Rohit!?"
I look up at him and he is looking at me.
I slowly lower our hands and we look into each other's eyes.
I feel goosebumps in my body all of a sudden.
Then I came back in the real world from his eyes when he moved back and looked aside.
I also left his hand and saw mummy ji still bargaining.
"Umm h-he He is Akshay" he replied without looking at me.
I look down and then back at Rohit.
"Wh-why" he clears his throat "why are you asking?"
"Oh woh actually he is very good looking just like an Korean actor" I say looking at Akshay
"He is not korean"
"But he do look like one, where is he from?"
"Why do you want to know? It's non of your concern and shouldn't either be" he said as if he is angry all of a sudden
I look at Him "why? Is he getting married?"
"No but...He...hee...aaa have a girlfriend"
"Really? But still can you introduce me to him?"
"No !"
"But why?"
"He is officer and why do you want to meet him?" He narrow his eyes at me
"Because I want to compliment and salute him"
"You can't compliment him"
"But why?"
"Because he have a girlfriend"
"I don't care, he would be happy to hear a compliment look how fit he is"
"No he won't be maybe he would shout at you as he very short tempered"
"Aww you are concerned that he will shout at me. Don't worry I will bear it, in the same way I bear you" I smile and walk towards Akshay sir.
But someone holds my wrist stopping me from going further.
I look behind and yes it's Rohit.
"What?" I asked
"Let's go to mom" He said and began to pull me with him.
I don't know but a smile formed on my lips. Like he is holding my hand guys.
"Mom how many blanket's will you buy? It's summer going on!" He asked and still he is holding my hand.
"Beta wait just done" and then mummy ji turned towards me "Jaanvi are these three blankets nice?"
I just nod.
With the corner of my eyes I look at Rohit, who is looking at the blanket's.
"Umm Rohit"
He shift his gaze at me and wait's for me to speak further.
"I want to have juice" I make him look at the juice corner in the corner of the road.
He looks there then back at me.
He thinks then he looks behind me, I also turned and saw Akshay sir talking on his phone laughing.
"He is looking so cute" I say
Then I hear in just 5 seconds maybe "Mom you want to have juice?"
I turn immediately and his grip on my wrist also became tight.
"No beta" Then aunty saw another taking a stall of suits "I will buy some suits for me..do you also want Jaanvi"
"No mummy ji. I don't wear them much"
"Okay so, do one thing if you both want to have juice go and drink, until then I will buy suits"
"Okay mom" then Rohit took me with him to the juice corner.
"Which juice?" He asked me
"Umm I will have kiwi juice or shake whatever it is" I said
Then Rohit said "uncle one Kiwi juice and one orange"
"Ji sir"
While we were waiting a man came and stood beside me very close. I was feeling uncomfortable.
Then Rohit made me stand beside him and held my other hand.
"Uncle how much time more?" Rohit asked
"One minute sir"
He placed the juice in front of us "here sir"
Rohit paid and took both the glass in his hand.
"Come" He said and I followed him with a smile.
There was a plastic table. He kept the glass on it and I took a sip with the straw while standing.
Then I give him my juice "want to taste?"
He just shooked.
"Can I taste yours?" I asked to which he gave me a glance and then his juice.
He sigh "fine but drink with your straw"
I grin "okay"
I took 1 sip but as it was so good I took 5 more sips.
"Mm it's good" saying that I began to drink mine "but Rohit mine is very tasty"
"Really?"
I nod.
"Let me taste" He said and I pulled my juice back from me.
"What?"
"Earlier you denied so I won't let you drink" I took a sip
"But you drank half of my juice"
"Because you allowed me and when I asked you it was only one time offer" I said
He glares at me "you are very cunning"
I show him all my teeth's.
With a grumpy face he began to drink his juice.
I giggled and then slided my juice at him "here taste"
"Now I don't want to, you drink your juice"
"Are you sure? I won't ask again" I said and looked aside.
From the corner of my eyes I saw him thinking.
"Okay you don't want to then" I paused as he said "I will try one sip"
He took his straw and drank it.
"How is it?" I asked
"It's okay but mine is better"
I roll my eyes "Hunh lier"
After drinking our juices we went back to mummy ji and she was done with shopping and now was talking to Akshay sir.
"Hey Akshay sir is talking to mummy ji" I said and ran to mummy ji.
I quickly said "Jai hind sir" He saw me and smiled "Jai hind"
"Your work in this station only right? Oh what A stupid question you definitely work here" I giggle and even he chuckles
"Yeah I work here" He said and his voice is so good.
"By the way I am Jaanvi" I said and put forward my hand to shake.
"I am Akshay Randhava"
I smile and we left hand "By the way sir if you don't mind can I tell you something?"
"Yeah sure"
Before I could say anything Rohit said "Aree Akshay I forgot to tell you, Aryan Sir told me to tell you that you have to go to the Forensic lab and study the reports carefully"
"Okay I will go then" Akshay sir said
"Yea please go fast or else Aryan will get angry"
"Yeah" Akshay sir then turned to me "sorry I have to leave right now"
"It's okay, next time when we will meet I will tell you want I want to"
He smiled.
"It was nice meeting you Akshay sir" I again put forward my hand but before he could Rohit said "Akshay Aryan is calling leave fast"
"Haan just" Akshay left in a hurry.
"Mom why did you came?" Rohit asked coming in front of us and he is kind of glaring at me.
Why?
"We came to give you lunch as you forgot it" Aunty gave him the tiffin
"Love you mom" he kissed her forehead.
Awww
"Okay now we are leaving. You eat your lunch"
"Where are you going?" Rohit asked
"Shopping" I screamed with excitement
He again glared at me "okay" he said looking at mom.
We left and shopped a lot and mummy ji and I spent a lot of good time.
But today I really enjoyed how Rohit and I drank juice, talked a bit and how he held my hand.
