"Dan get up we have to leave in an hour." Phil called from the outside of Dan's bedroom door.
"Why do I have to wake up?" Dan called back very tiredly.
"Don't tell me that you forgot that we are adopting today."
"Oh yeah I did forget sorry." Dan slowly got up and got a shower.
Phil went into the kitchen and made Dan and himself a cup of coffee and bowl of cereal for themselves. They had more food then normal as last night they went to the shop and brought a load of food for the new addition. Dan came in wearing a plain black tee and his black trousers. Phil was wearing a colourful top and black jeans. They quickly drank their coffees and ate their cereal. Dan cleared it all up then they both had a last minute clean of the house.
"You ready Phil?" Dan asked as they put on their shoes,
"I am Dan, what about you?"
"Yeah I have been looking forward to this day for ever."
"Three months Dan."
"Oh shut up Phil you know what I mean." He said giving Phil a little push.
They walked out of their home and walked to the train station. Luckily it was only one stop. They got on the train and were noticed by a small group of girls who screamed at them as they climbed aboard. Pictures were taken and quick conversations were made. At the next stop Dan and Phil said goodbye and stepped off of the train. They walked for about five minutes until they arrived at the orphanage. There were three other families waiting outside, they were here for adoption day as well. The wait was only ten minutes, Dan went onto this phone to avoid any human interaction while Phil happily went to talk to the other families about adopting.
When the wait was over they were greeted by Mrs Dunton and were taken inside. They saw all of the happy children waiting for the families arrival. The families went over to say hello to all of them. One girl caught Dan's eye. She had dark brown hair and was sitting alone in the corner of the room looking at the floor.
"Phil lets speak with that one she looks lonely."Dan said pointing over to the girl,
"Alright." Phil said as they wondered over to her.
