Hot breath fanned my neck and I felt someone kiss the back of my head as everyone's eyes looked between me and the man behind me.
An arm snaked around my waist and pulled me flush against him. I turned around to look into the eyes of a very furious Adam.

Every single person saw and if they were shocked before, they definitely died of a heart attack now.
What on earth is he trying to do?
He pulled away with a smirk, one hand in his pocket and one around my waist as he kissed my forehead and turned me around and intertwined our fingers.
I faced the group in front of me who had their mouths agape while Adam glared at a very confused Liam.
"Thank you for your company, I had a lot of fun. Bye Liam." I told them and they nodded dumbly, looking between us both and I smiled sheepishly and looked at Adam.
"Where are we going?" I asked him and he looked at me.
"Home. Come on." He tugged at my hand and I waved at the group once more before being dragged away by Adam.

I inwardly groaned and followed Adam to his car, sitting down quietly. We didn't speak during the ride back and I knew he was mad the was his fists clenched and unclenched and how dark his eyes looked.

When we finally reached the penthouse, Adam got out of the car first and I followed after him quickly. The elevator ride up to his penthouse was tense and suffocating and a few minutes felt like hours.
When will this torture end?
As soon as I heard the ding of the elevator I sighed in relief and was the first one to walk out. Two steps in and I was pulled back and pinned to the wall, caged between a very angry Adam and the cold wall.

I looked around and saw some good things so I decided on making grilled chicken with vegetables as a side.
Just as I was adding seasoning to the vegetables, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me making me yelp in surprise. I heard the same deep chuckle and turned around with a scowl on my face.
"You scared me Adam!" I exclaimed but he kissed my forehead and hugged me tighter.
"I'm sorry love. I couldn't help it." He said and I rolled my eyes, getting out of his embrace and heading to check if the chicken was grilled.
"Can I help?" He asked and I looked around.
"I'm almost done so you can take out the plates I guess." I said and he nodded, heading to the shelves and taking out two plates.
I carefully placed the chicken and vegetables in both of them and he carried them to the kitchen island. We both sat down beside each other and ate in a comfortable silence.
"Oh I completely forgot to tell you, I've got an interview tomorrow, so I'll be heading there after work." I said and he nodded.
"Yeah I heard. Are you sure though? What if they-.." He asked me worried and I put my hand on his and cut him off.
"I'm sure, don't worry." I said smiling and he nodded, pecking my lips softly.
"But I need to check the questions first. Alright?" He asked me and I thought for a moment before nodding.
"Yeah sure." I said and thought about this morning and broke out into a grin.
"What?" He asked and I laughed at him.
"Were you really running around the office today?" I asked him and he frowned.
"How do you know that?" He asked.
"I didn't, everybody else did though. I head from some employees today that you ran inside the office looking for someone and that you were furious and very sexually frustrated." I said chuckling and he furrowed his eyebrows
"That's because you left me like that." He snapped and I laughed.
"They said they saw you running around and searching around frantically for someone and then cursed loudly in the middle of the lobby, shouting at random people for the smallest mistakes too." I told him laughing and he shook his head.
"What else?" He asked me and I thought for a moment.
"They said that were saying 'I know you're here somewhere and I'll teach you a lesson when we go home, just you wait!" I repeated and he smirked.
"Well you got your lesson, didn't you?" He said and I felt myself blush.
"Well I enjoyed my lesson a lot, and I have a feeling you did too." I said leaning towards him and pecking his lips. I pulled away as his gaze darkened and he averted his gaze.
Cat got your tongue?
"Do you want to watch something before sleeping?" He asked me after a few seconds.
"Yeah, I'd like that." I said and he nodded, taking my plate and putting it away.
We went into the living room and settled onto the couch and he picked out a random comedy movie while I snuggled into his arms.
"You good?" He asked and I nodded.
"Perfect." I whispered when he smiled down at me and kissed my forehead, making me sigh in peace as we watched the movie, not knowing when we both drifted off to sleep.
I wish it would always be perfect.
