Plot idea by my friend Luna from the COTC Amino.
Craig looked through his stump one last time before walking out of it, dinnertime was here and his day at the creek was over. Craig held onto his purse of holding and made his way out of the creek. But just as he was walking he felt a hand grab at his upper forearm while exiting the creek.
He turned around to see Jason standing there just letting go of his forearm, just when Craig turned around to look at him. "Jason?".
"Hey Craig...So um uh...I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at my house tomorrow since my parents are away, I'll have the house to myself all week"Jason spoke. Craig didn't even think about rejecting the offer, the moment reminded him of the day they actually became friends. Jason was locked out the house and he stayed at Craig's house. Craig was still feeling regretful for mistreating Jason at first but he made up for it that night by listening to Jason, actually becoming his friend the next morning and putting effort into keeping the friendship going.
The next day
After dinner time Craig went straight to Jason's house and knocked on the front door. Unsurprisingly, Jason answered the door for Craig to come in to hang out. "Hey, Craig! You're just in time I was just getting the snacks ready. You can wait on the couch"Jason greeted then speed walked to the kitchen. Craig sat down on the couch, waiting for Jason to come with the snacks. He looked around on the pale purple couch, he eyed the tv and the pictures set near the tv. He saw pictures of Jason throughout his life, he was surprised there were any photos of Jason given what Jason told him about his father and step mother.
His eyes were locked on one picture of Jason, he just sat there staring at it. Maybe Craig wanted a little more than a friendship from Jason unlike he thought the day they became friends. Craig changed his position on the couch and felt his cheeks heat up noticing how he was staring at the photo of Jason Craig thought was so cu-
"Craig, I'm back with the snacks!"
Jason walked back into the living room with the snacks, he set the snacks down between the two of them and got up to look through the DVD's set down in front of the tv. "What movie you like? My step mom has a lot of 2000s teen movies, she has Legally blonde, Sugar & Spice, Mean Girls and other 2000s teen movies"Jason said collecting all the DVD's from both his step mom and dad. Craig looked through the movies, he didn't feel like watching Legally Blonde cause he heard Bernard and Alexis watched it together so he assumed it was boring, he'd already seen Mean Girls then he found one that caught his eye.
Edward Scissorhands.
He remembered one time his parents were watching that movie when he was little and his mom cried seeing the ending. He didn't like any of the other options so he just went with the movie, besides he cries cause of a movie once in a blue moon. "This one, it looks cool".
Jason nodded and popped the tv in the DVD player and set the to movie start. Jason looked over to one of his step mom's dogs she left at home since there was no one to dog sit at the last second, she'd be back tomorrow morning. Jason just hoped the dog wouldn't bark over the movie and annoy Craig, but the dog didn't and just screwed around with the other dogs.
Time skip
Jason and Craig sat there, eating snacks, watching the movie and staring at each other for a few seconds at some points. To each other the other boy just looked so handsome. Eventually, Jason felt a weight go on his left shoulder, he looked to Craig and saw he had fallen asleep on his shoulder. Jason smirked seeing Craig fall asleep, so peacefully and sweet...Jason paused the movie and stared at Craig asleep for a second, Jason felt like Craig's sleepiness was contagious cause moments later he was asleep too.
Time skip
Jason rubbed his eyes just waking up, he forgot Craig fell asleep on his shoulder so Jason sat up and Craig fell on his lap. He admired Craig for a split second until he heard one of his step mom's dog barking. He looked over to the dog and saw it was getting out of the backyard, Jason felt his heart drop and he sprung up off the couch and towards the backyard. But the dog was faster and it escaped, Jason was left in the backyard dumbfounded not knowing Craig had woken up just when Jason sprung up from the couch. "Jason, your step mom's chihuahua got out!"Craig said stumbling to the backyard with Jason.
Craig turned to Jason and saw Jason panicking, he didn't want Jason to have a panic attack. Craig swallowed and thought of what he could do, until he remembered Jessica. A year ago when they got locked out of their house and Jessica was quick to hit the panic button, he remembered when he took deep breaths cupping her face. Jason's breathing getting more quick made Craig just do it anyways. "Hey! Hey! It's okay, I'll help you get the chihuahua back"Craig reassured cupping Jason's face just like he did with Jessica.
Craig played the memory in his head multiple times and relived it, expect he was calming Jason down. He liked the feeling of cupping Jason's face the feeling made him...Feel something he couldn't describe or become familiar with, just having Jason's touch in his hands made him feel like he was on the moon. But he had to focus on calming down Jason. Craig took the same deep breaths with Jason and ended it with him lightly blowing in his face.
Jason let Craig's palms leave his cheeks and let the panicked feeling leave him. "Okay, the chihuahua shouldn't have gone far we should be able to get the dog back, when is your step mom gonna be back again?"Craig asked "Well, my step mom is out with her girlfriends in another city so...The next morning". Craig stretched his legs and ran around the streets with Jason to catch the chihuahua running and running around the streets.

Jason panted resting his palms on his knees and so did Craig, no one would blame them judging by how much running they were doing. The chihuahua was still on the loose, Craig got done catching his breath and looked to his left. He saw a a skater shop where you could rent out skates, roller skates and bike related items. An idea popped into Craig's head and he turned to Jason "Hey Jason, what size are your shoes?". "I wear a size 6, why?" (estimate made for this fic) "You'll see"Smirked Craig.
After getting the roller skates, Craig sat down quickly with Jason and got all the equipment on for skating. "But Craig, I don't know how to skate..."Jason spoke getting his helmet on. Craig helped Jason stand up and held tightly on his hand "Then I'll help you".
The beautiful look in Craig's eyes made Jason's worry disappear and he nodded. He let Craig's touch melt in his palm and replaced his worry with calmness. Craig darted his eyes to the barking chihuahua in the distance, he began skating with Jason. "Hey! You got it!"Craig commented seeing Jason skate, but Craig realized he spoke too soon when Jason almost fell back cause of the wheels.
"You're okay! Just leaned forward. Like that! Okay c'mon!"Craig cheered and skated with Jason. One hand in Jason's hand and the other holding onto his waist. Craig glided Jason to spin around, Craig held both of Jason's hands and spun Jason to face him. Round and round they went like a Merry go round on the empty streets, Craig laughed and Jason blushed staring into the other boy's eyes.
The staring of Jason lasted for who knows who long until Craig shouted something. "Dude, I see your step mom's dog!"Craig shouted then only held onto one of Jason's hands. Jason looked and saw the chihuahua had stopped just when him and Craig reached it, determination took over Jason and he used his other hands to grab the chihuahua with it barking madly. Craig and Jason stopped and sighed of relief, they took off the rented out roller skates with Jason still holding his step mom's chihuahua. "Thanks for helping me get the chihuahua back, I know today we were supposed to be relaxing with each other but *Sighs* My step mom's dog pulled a prison break"Jason apologized holding the chihuahua.
Craig panted then looked at Jason "Are you kidding me? You don't have to apologize that was the most thrilling moment of my life, I actually liked it and holding your hand dude..."Craig mumbled the last part blushing. Jason's eyes fluttered and he looked at the resting dog in his arms then Craig, he felt Craig's touch still lingering in his palms. He liked it.
Jason moved forward and kissed Craig's cheek softly, like flower petals rested on Craig's cheek then were gone. Craig reacted quicker than Jason thought and Craig wanted to kiss Jason as well, but was too surprised. "Thanks...Honey..."Craig tripped over his words foolishly and impulsively, he only called Jason that cause that's what Alexis and Bernard did to each other like their parents so Craig assumed it was to do. But, the pet name worked seeing it made Jason smile. "No problem, muffin. Now let's return those skates you rented out"Jason smiled then held onto Craig's hand still holding the dog that caused so much trouble.
Craig smiled with his cheeks still red, the boys walked back holding hands the whole way. Thankfully, without the dog disturbing the sweet moment.
