"What are we doing first?"
"How about a game?" Chenle suggests, holding a bottle of alcohol.
"I will participate with my lovely soda", Jaemin says.
"Sure, sweetie. I'm thinking Never Have I Ever, I have questions."
Jisung looks up at his boyfriend curiously. "You're gonna use this for your advantage, aren't you?"
The pinkette grins. "Of course."
To make sure that get as much juicy information as possible, they decide that Jisung and Chenles answers don't count if they mean each other.
And because they know how Chenle is, they decide that his turn will be last. When it's turn, everyone but Jaemin and Jisung roll their eyes when he pulls up a list of questions on his phone.
"Oh, this is a good one."
"Great", Jeno mutters.
"Never have I showered with someone here."
Chenle, Jisung, Jeno, and Haechan all take a drink, avoiding the look on Mark and Jaemins shocked and curious faces.
Jaemins eyes stay trained on his best friends. "You told me nothing happened!"
"Because nothing happened", Jisung says. "It's not what you think."
"What is he supposed to think?" Chenle asks his boyfriend curiously.
Haechan looks at Jaemin as he asks, "Remember that day I got really, really drink?"
Jaemin nods.
"Why don't you explain for the rest of us?" Mark suggests.
Haechan and Jisung seem to have a silent conversation before coming to an agreement.
"Jisung will explain."
12th grade
"Are you sure you got it?" Jaemin asks for the fifth time as they put Haechan in the passenger seat of Jisungs car.
"Yes, Jaemin, I got it."
"Let me know if you need anything. Promise."
Jisung nods. "I promise."
The two hug. Jisung presses a kiss to Jaemins forehead and receives one to his cheek before the boy pulls away. Jaemin waves as he walks off.
In the car, Haechan is slumped against the seat, using his seatbelt as pillow.
"Cookie?" Jisung questions, unsure of whether he's awake or not.
"Hm?"
"Are you sleepy?"
"I feel like shit."
Jisung sighs, knowing that his response goes beyond the male being wasted. No more words are spoken from the two as Jisung drives them to his house.
Even when Jisung opens his door and unbuckles his seatbelt, Haechan stays in the car.
"Give me five minutes and I'll get out myself."
"Why not now?"
"I don't deserve your help."
"Can we talk about this inside?"
"I don't deserve your sympathy. You", Haechan hiccups, "should hate me."
"I don't have a reason to hate you."
Haechan snorts, hiccuping in the process. "If you don't hate me yet, I'll give you reasons."
"I love you and I'd appreciate you if you come inside."
Without waiting for his friends response, Jisung begins pulling Haechan out of the car. Haechan lets him, deciding to just let his hate for himself grow worse.
As they move up the porch, sickness rises in him. Haechan stops in his tracks as he feels something come up his throat. The boy manages to turn away from Jisung just in time to throw up on the driveway and on himself.
"You're gonna shower", Jisung tells him as he brings him into the house.
Jisung always loved living in a house with stairs and it's never been a problem until tonight when he realizes how impractical they are. Nonetheless, he gets his best friend upstairs and into the bathroom.
"Can you undress yourself?" Jisung asks.
Haechan responds by lifting his arms, causing Jisung to sigh. Jisung helps him pull off his shirt but doesn't know what to do about Haechans pants. He ends up just pushing the whole boy into the shower and covering Haechans bottom half with the curtain to give him privacy.
"Can you wash me?" Haechan mumbles.
"Isn't it better if you do it yourself?"
"I'm gonna fall asleep."
For what feels like the nine-hundredth time, regret fills Jisung for the events of that day, especially the situation that led Haechan to drink his body weight in alcohol.
Keeping the curtain as a barrier, Jisung turns on the water, setting the temperature to warm. He grabs the soap and begins washing the area of Haechans body that he can see.
"I want a hug!" Haechan whines after a minute, moving forward to hug his best friend.
"After your shower."
Brown, glossy, dazed eyes and trembling pouty lips on his best friends cute face make Jisung feel horrible for his words, even though they're perfectly reasonable.
"You don't wanna hug me?"
"I do but not while you're showering."
"Hug me first and shower me later."
Jisung shakes his head, unintentionally hurting Haechan even more, causing his lips to tremble more as a tear escapes.
"You don't wanna hug me anymore?"
"That's not it, Cookie. You're wet and you need to be cleaned."
Haechan comes forward anyway and traps the taller boy into a hug, drenching his t-shirt. Jisung should've expected this. He lets the hug go on for a minute before gently trying to separate from the boy but Haechans arms stay locked around him.
"Just get in the shower with me so you can hug me. You're wet anyway."
"You definitely don't want me to do that."
"I wanna hug you", Haechan whines.
"Let me wash you quickly and then I'll hug you."
"Why can't you get in here with me?"
"You do understand what you asked me to do, right?"
"It's only weird if we make it weird. We're not gonna do anything. Sober me would suggest this too."
"Would he now?"
"He'd want to. He wants to be cuddled all the time."
"Until sober you tells me that he's fine showering with me, I'm not doing it."
Jisung panics when Haechan starts sobbing. He tries to ignore the guilting thoughts in his mind as he tries to just get this over with.
"I'm gonna pull you in here", Haechan says through tears after he starts to calm down.
"Please, don't."
Everything Jisung says comes out in the worst way, it seems, as Haechan cries all over again, looking more hurt than before.
"You don't like me anymore."
"I like you. I love you and because I love you, I'm not doing something I'm not sure you'll remember happening."
"Just get out."
"Can you clean yourself?"
"I'll figure it out myself. I'm all I have anyway", Haechan mumbles.
Jisung lets out a stressed sigh, unsure of what to do. He refuses to take a chance with something that will make Haechan uncomfortable, especially if he's not in his right state of mind but his mental state is getting worse all because of him.
"Do you really want me in the shower with you?"
"Yes. Don't look and I won't."
"Are you gonna remember this?"
"Mhm."
Jisung sighs and begins undressing. He makes sure Haechan faces away from him as he gets in behind the male, not looking at anything lower than Haechans head. As soon as he starts to soap Haechans back, the boy turns around and hugs him, holding onto him tightly.
"Please don't go."
"I'm not going anywhere."
"Did I make you uncomfortable?"
Jisung shakes his head. He doesn't really care about the situation but he knows that Haechan would, which is why he didn't want join him in the first place.
The two finish showering fairly quickly now that Haechan is more compliant. But with it is a huge display of clinginess.
It's a struggle to get dressed, since Haechan doesn't wanna part from Jisung but they both eventually get clothed and move to Jisungs bed to cuddle.
"Why were you so drunk?" Chenle asks, not meaning to bring down the mood around Haechan, Jisung, and Jaemin.
Haechan sighs and then looks up at Jaemin. "It's finally gonna make sense to you."
"You don't have to tell us", Jaemin says softly. He wants to know but not if it'll take a toll on either of his best friends.
"I'm okay with it. Are you, Jisung?"
Jisung nods against Chenle's shoulder. Chenle feels his boyfriends grip on him tighten, making him wonder if it has to do with the topic. But he doesn't say anything, deciding to just hear what's going on first.
"Are you sleepy?" Jisung asks, while playing with Haechans hair.
The boy shakes his head. "I can't sleep like this."
"Don't you wanna wait till morning to talk?"
Haechan shakes his head again. "I won't be as honest then."
"Do you wanna be super honest now?"
"I need to."
"Okay", Jisung says. "You start."
"Are you really okay?"
"Mhm. It's better for all of us, isn't it?"
"It's not better if it hurts you."
"I'm not gonna worry about this forever. And I don't wanna make it uncomfortable for Jaemin or even risk our friendship at all, you mean too much to me."
Jisung's words make perfect sense and Haechan knows the boy wouldn't lie to him but it still doesn't make sense. "Why aren't you mad at me?"
"Why would I be?"
"I hurt you."
"It's not on purpose. You can't help who you like."
"But I don't get it." Haechan bursts,"Why do you even like me? Why can't you just like Jaemin?"
"It just didn't turn out that way. I like you, Cookie."
"I wish you liked Jaemin. He's better for you."
"I'm not sure Jaemin would agree."
"Even if he's weird, he's a better person than I am. He's easy to like and he'll treat you well. He actually likes you."
"You wouldn't be an asshole to me. As my best friend, you've never hurt me. Hell, I don't have any reason to dislike you. I like you because you've never given me any reason not to and that's why I'm always gonna love you. You deserve people to appreciate you and love you. You're perfect even if you don't know."
Haechan sniffles against Jisungs chest, holding him tight. He looks up to meet Jisungs eyes as he asks, "Why did it have to be you? Why did I have to hurt you?"
Jisung gently wipes away his tears with his thumb, catching them as they fall. He hates the broken look on Haechans face, he hates that he can see how guilty he feels and how much he hates himself.
"Please stop beating yourself up over this. It's not anyone's fault that our feelings are this way. We'll move past it and we'll be fine, okay?"
"Are you sure?"
Jisung kisses Haechans forehead, feeling relieved that it makes him relax even for a second. "I promise. I'm always gonna love you and I know you love me. You just need to be you and be my best friend to make me happy."
"Same here", Haechan says. It's a quiet for a moment before he mumbles out a question."Is Jaemin okay?"
"He's fine. He's moving on from me."
"Does he resent me for being the person you like?"
"Absolutely not. And if it will help, you should talk to him."
"What if I keep feeling weird around him?"
Jisung chuckles. "Maybe you should figure out what that weirdness means."
"What if it means what I think it does?"
"Then you have to take that up with him. I can already feel the guilt coming back, please don't feel that way. I want you happy. It'll make me happy if I wake up tomorrow with you cuddling me and then you smile at me."
Haechan nods against his shoulder."Okay. I wanna make you happy any way I can. I love you, Jisung."
"I love you too."
Jisung and Haechan stare at their best friend, trying to gauge his reaction. Worry begins to rise in him when he doesn't say anything for a moment.
"Haechan, Jisung, come here", he says as he stands up.
The two stand up as well and slowly go over to him, uncertainly.
Jaemin startles them when he abruptly pulls them into a tight hug. Having little involvement in the past situation didn't give him as many details as one would think. After hearing how pain both were in, Jaemin wants to cry.
"I love you two", he says sincerely.
"I love you too", they chorus, followed by Jisung telling him, "We're okay."
"I hate that you two weren't and I couldn't so much."
"Stop that", Jisung says. "You tried to help me even when you were hurting."
"You talked to me too", Haechan says. "Remember?"
Jaemin nods, remembering everything that happened during that conversation. If anyone notices the way him and Haechan avoid eye contact, they don't say anything.
The three stay near each other, all wanting their best friends company which the other three find cute.
Remembering the original game, something comes to mind.
Mark smirks at two subjects. "Jeno and Chenle, it's your turn to explain."
Jeno groans. "Oh God. It was Lele's fault."
"You offered!"
"I didn't think you were crazy enough to join me!"
"Explain more, someone."
"Lele was being his usual self and decided to sit on the bathroom counter while I showered 'cause he wanted to talk to me and then he decided to say that his body is more attractive then mine so I told him to prove it."
"I asked your permission first."
"So it was Jeno's fault", Haechan concludes.
Chenle points at him and grins. "Thank you!"
Jeno rolls his eyes. "Whatever."
They play another round, everything going fine until Chenles damn list.
"Never have I ever had a moment with someone here?"
Jeno's jaw drops when he sees he's the only one that doesn't take a sip of his drink. Jisung is just as shocked as he looks at Chenle and Mark.
"Lele and Mark need to go first", Jeno says.
Chenle rolls his eyes. "We were just having a serious conversation in my room and I was about to walk about but made eye contact with him and almost made the stupid decision to kiss him."
"That sound right to you, Mark?"
Mark nods. "It was actually really weird 'cause it wasn't until that moment, that eye contact that the mood changed. Like our distance was the same we were normal and then we just exchanged that look and almost kissed. But like as soon as we went downstairs, that feeling went away."
"Jisung, I assume your moment was with Haechan?"
Jisung takes another sip before shaking his head. "Both of them."
Haechan gasps as he looks at his best friends. "Really? Why didn't I hear about this?"
Jaemin kisses Jisungs cheek to ease him as he smiles at Haechan, letting them see that he's okay. "You two were distracted with each other so I don't think Jisung even remembered. And how would we bring that up now?"
Jisung hugs Jaemin, trying to communicate an apology.
"Are you comfortable explaining when?"
"Oh, sure", Jaemin responds, not missing a beat. "It was just me and Jisung that day and we were outside and under this tree so we had shade. Me being me just decided I wanted a hug so we hugged and we didn't pull away a lot when we started talking. While Jisung was talking, I looked at his lips like five times and he looked at mine once and I almost kissed him before I realized what the hell was going on and just hugged him again to break the moment. I knew he had a crush on Haechan anyways so it wouldn't have done any good."
"Was it a big tree with loose leaves?" Haechan asks.
Jaemin nods.
"When the whole over triangle situation or whatever started happening, I remembered and started feeling guilty when I saw that tree so I would avoid it", Jisung tells them.
"Me and Haechan had moments a few times", Jaemin speaks up to shift the attention. "One of them was actually that day when me and Haechan talked and I explained that I wasn't mad at him or anything."
"How many times?"
"Five, right?" Haechan asks Jaemin.
Jaemin nods and tries to hold back his smile from the knowledge that Haechan remembers. Part of him was afraid that those were all in his head but this proves that it's not.
"Next question?" Chenle asks, wondering whether they can move on or not.
The other five nod and wait while Jeno thinks of a question. They play until they can't think of anymore questions to ask.
"Who wants to dance?"
Haechan smirks. "Jisung needs more alcohol first."

I forgot what chapter it was but in one of them, Haechan and Jisung mention a thing that Chenle is curious about but they don't tell him. The flashback is based off of that mysterious thing. You'll find out what it is later on
I'm trying to get the future stuff in order but two things crossed my mind, both causing a different reaction.
